I can still pull up my user ID on XTH:
Login to XTH
right click on page after logged in
select View Source
Notepad opens with all the source information
select edit then find
type in "user" in the find box
click find next until you see it userid
am I
???
accts are fairly new. Do you have to go through a complete XTH cycle to have an ID created? Register on GW then register in game then be awarded something?

Until we get some sort of explanation from arenanet, I hope everyone recalls their user id like I did. =\

I was just checking on my predictions after reading this thread, and can't see where people are having problems.
I wrote down the User IDs for my three accounts earlier, and now checked again (using Internet Explorer) - and the same IDs are available near the bottom of the Source page for all three accounts.
When I did my predictions, on the original file - they all came out fine (updated on page too).

I got 16 keys per account last month from this. Great tool for the lazy

I mean, I'm pretty lazy... But 2 mins is worth 50k per account to me.. xD That's 600k... What could I be doing so important that it could be worth more than 600k made in 2 mins? Gosh. o_o...
I'm not so much a fan of the automated guessing, but automating the voting process (with my picks) is amazinggggg... Saves like half an hour of dragging little boxes, and if the 1v1.cfg ever works, that's gonna be sooo sweet... It'll take like a minute a month... lol. xD

To Xun Rama, I've tried reading those threads and often find them highly confusing.
I've played Guild Wars for four years and can not keep track of every single guild's tag and/or smurfs. Yes, I know the guildwars.com website has a search engine built in for looking up tags but that in itself can be a headache and can sometimes pull up multiple guilds with the exact same tag.
There's also the bit you said about, ""oh noes, rawrbuild down!" to "oh noes, rawrbuild up!"" What do you mean? If the build is down, down where? How is that a bad thing and vice versa?
This tool is a godsend for pve players who don't have the time to familiarize themselves with the GW PvP scene and just want to make a bit of in game gold on the side.

If you don't get it, it's very subtle. They do it because they don't give a damn about how many zkeys PvErs that don't have a clue what's going on in the GvG world get every month for doing nothing other than reading threads here. That or some of them are actually so naive that they believe it, in which case... that's just really sad to believe, and I'd rather not accept that.
That's why they're confusing... Sometimes people are a bit more unrealistic than usual (inside jokes, anyone?).
The valuable information in the threads isn't people's guild order, it's what people are saying about the guilds. Who's playing on what, who's doing bad, et cetera. You just have to weed through what is a complete fabrication, and what's real. I mean, just use common sense. If someone is putting a guild that has rarely ever even gotten top 16 in their top 8 or higher, then you know something's usually up, save big roster changes, disbands, etc. (which you can generally find out about simply by reading those threads, knowing nothing about GvG prior).
The 1v1 threads are generally pretty straight forward... Nobody has a clue who's going to do what. Even the people that do HB don't have a clue who's going to place where. The majority of points will always come from the GvG predictions, the 1v1 predictions are just for a lucky couple to knock you over the edge to get that 130 rather than 105 (generally, in my experience).
Anyways, hope that explains it.

You can still grab your user_id field if you have a way of viewing the HTTP headers. Log in, open that extension, click on "Make 1v1 Predictions" or "Make GvG Predictions," and save the output of the extension to a text file somewhere. Search that text file for the string "user_id".
