I've seen plenty of rude people.
- Halfway through Hell's Precipice, a Monk got mad and went off telling everyone we're stupid noobs because we kept saying there is no Monk boss in Hell's Precipice and he, apparently, knew a Monk boss was in that mission that had Aura of Faith.
- A Paragon saying all Paragon elite skills suck. His choice of an elite skill for his build: Aura of Displacement. He told me I was cheating when I beat him 1v1 with my Ranger. Oh, and I was kicked out of a guild because he was the leader.
- Asking someone in Lion's Arch what the August (yes, back in August) Transformation Tonic was. His reply: "Go <rhymes with ducking> look it up on the main site, you <rhymes with trucker>!"
Last, but not least:
- Being told Necromancers can't use Cryer builds and getting kicked out a group to try to do Urgoz's Warren. Two minutes later, I got asked to rejoin the group when no other Cryers were available.

Pre NF, on my Canthan necro doing one of the SJ island quests. Level 20 MM offers to help us, and my friend (on her restore rit) and I accept. We're grouped with a 'sin and a ranger, and the leader decides to take Taya along. Six of us. Fine.
We enter the explorable, where I find out that the MM is 1. incapable of maintaining his minion wall (he wasn't a bomber), 2. one of the rudest people I've ever had the dubious honour of meeting.
My friend had explained beforehand that she had slow load. Nobody said anything about it. She also had a bit of starting lag, which happens. Apparently this was unacceptable to the MM. He started shouting and cussing at her for <i>lagging</i>. She's got a better temper than I do, so she told me to let it go first. I was ready to wail on him verbally around that point.
Then he started shouting at me for using <i>my</i> necro skills. He didn't have Blood of the Master, so I was effectively the one keeping his minions alive. But nope, I get cussed out for using necro skills, too. I lost it and gave him a verbal tongue-lashing. Around this point the 'sin and the ranger were beginning to sound more than a little apprehensive themselves when they said anything in teamchat. MM finally starts shouting and saying "FINE LET'S LEAVE THE TWO STUPID 'HEALERS' BEHIND" and stalks off. Ranger ignores him. 'Sin hovers anxiously behind. Off he goes, muttering badly-spelt imprecations, leading his rapidly degen-ing minion mob towards the huge cluster of red dots.
Friend and I agree on guildchat that we are not doing anything for this jerk. Evidently the ranger and the assassin agreed with us, because they were NOWHERE near the mob when the MM walked right into it, with only Taya following behind (dutiful as always). He died.
Taya rezzed him.
He died again.
Cue massive "WTF ARE YOU GUYS NOT REZZING YOU STUPID IDIOTS" cusstorm. (Yeah, I know necros have a curse line, but I don't think that counts.)
The rest of us stood around, and he started screaming and swearing even more when Taya, quite predictably, died. Then he declared that he was never going to help us again, waited for a suitably 'OH NOES' response. He failed to get anything beyond a "Oh, OK. You're leaving? Goodbye then."
His parting message was a string of swearwords.
Rude, yeah, but the selfpwnage was worth it.

I have pleeeennnnnty of people that would attest to me being one of the rudest people in the game. I wont argue with it, i have an extremely low tolerance level for people who waste my time, or force me to explain something twice.
Of course, being rude and honest are seperated by a very thin line. That line, being, ignore list, which i thankfully use to it's fullest extent.

Like 2 years ago I was doing an 55/SS run in UW.
I told the necro that we go 50/50, but if we find 3 ectos, I don't need the half price, neither will I pay it for him. He said OK.
We enter UW, killing monsters, get to the last Smite mobs, kill them, and the 3rd ecto drops for me. We resign, I say thanks, I have to go now, bye-bye. Nothing happened.
Next day I login, standing in ToA, and a random guy whispering me that he will kill me, becouse I've scammed his guildmate. I was like wtf? Then 2 more guy came into ToA, and started spamming the city with "DUNPARTI WID NAFRET MONK HE IZ SCAMZ!!!1!".

Every time I look in the mirror, this guy makes the ugliest faces ever... I wouldn't go as far as calling him the most rude person ever, but still worth a mention. 
On subject: I wouldn't be able to determine the worst of them all. I generally screenshot every conversation that is at least slightly amusing and then make a nice collection out of them for the fond memory that is online gaming.
Even I sometimes get pissed off, so I try not to judge people on their worst moment... though it does tell about their self control.

A few months ago, there I was in Kamadan Am1 selling my Kuunavang. Someone whispers "I pay 100k" to which I politely respond "no thanks, that's a pretty low offer". Then he calls me a noob for not knowing the prices. To prove his point of me being noob, he runs up to me, starts flaming my "Protector of Tyria" title as noob, my tatoo armor as noob crap. He's a male monk wearing black obsi with a ninja mask and displaying r4 KOABD. He then ranks a bambi in my face.
Made me lol irl I almost spilled my coffee. The rage continues as I start equipping my obsi armor, display GWAMM and rank a wolf. He stopped right there.

I've got kicked from GoE for asking another person to use a Firefox/Opera spellcheck or at least TRY to write correctly on forum. Other person said that he concurs, it's hard to understand the guy.
And boom, officer without consulting ANYONE kicked me out of guild while I was offline on my holiday. Dunno why exactly, I think it's because I dared to point out his friend's poor grammar and writing "something" as "sumtin".

Having played since GW began, I think there are waaay to many occurences of rudeness to place down here. Even within Guilds and Alliances I have been in, there have still been people that feel it is their right to be as rude to people as possible.
I think the one that sticks out in my mind is one that happened recently. And, of course, it involved PUGS.
My girlfriend and I decided to PUG FoW as monks. Yes, it could be argued you only have yourselves to blame for this, but we do FoW as we enjoy it.
We get through 3/4 of it with minimal fuss and get into the burning forest.
Now, not giving details out, my lovely girl has to go afk as life decided to get in the way. No probs with me, since it was a permasin group anyway and one monk can breeze it as long as the group pay attention. Well, they decided not too, a few people died and the fun began.
I explained that our monk was afk at the start of the forest but no, wasn't acceptable. Within 10 minutes, she was being accused of leeching the end chest. I defend, explaining the situation and 3 people in particular got really, really abusive to both of us over it. All while we are still getting through FoW and no-one is dying. Some very extreme stuff was then said when my girl returned, to which was upsetting. Cue many reports, the 3 others quitting because of the insults (though supporting us monks saying it wasnt a problem). And we left.
People seem to forget a lot of the time that this is game, nothing more. We all play this to escape.

As for the rudest thing...I was in an UW SC pug about an hour ago. Pits terra dies in chamber claiming lag, goes afk for 20 mins (even after we used a rez scroll on his nub ass), comes back and he's like "OMG you guys STILL arent done? Noobs!" (while we were doing HIS area last), then raged on us.
I'm kinda still scratching my head about that...

- think drawing pictures of cows or other things is fun
- agro half the map and die and then DEMAND to get ressurected ...
Oh yes i was on a ranger and had no elite skill yet and joined a pug what doing the dragons lair.
He asked to ping my build ... so i pinged it and said i don't have any elites yet and He went off a ramble that i'm a noob not using elite skills and that i never be able to do the mission without it .
So me with my big mouth said : i don't elites ... i AM elite lol ;-p (it was ovious a joke no?)
Right after he kicked me off, so i h/h the mission with bonus and i send the guy a message see i h/h it with bonus and no elite so i AM elite lol (again it was a joke and also to show u don't need elite skills to end missions/campains)
