Count: seriously, I've lost count. 200+ the first few days, tapering off and not many the last couple days
Dungeon: Strength of Snow mostly
MPB: none

Husband has been doing Heart of Snow (or whatever the other one is called) mostly - a LOT more than I'm playing! - and no MPB for him, either. Between us both and two dungeons, we've easily done approaching a thousand runs (actually, we both fight the dungeon not "run" it), I'd estimate, and no little fella to call our own

Using a ranger doing Straight to the Heart quest, 50+ runs no mpb.

But, on a side note did hit 3 year birthday day after Chrismas and got a Rabbit.

Final count 256 rounds and no bear. Decided to stop on a nice, round number and give my wrist some well deserved relief. Since I didn't believe for a second that doubling or quadrupling the effort would bring home the bacon I farmed in a leisurely pace and with one account only and I'm sincerely happy that I could resist the temptation to do 1000+ rounds.

Oh well, I'd have given away the damned mini anyway

I found that farming vaettir got me more items per unit time than doing that quest over and over again, and I wasn't going to let the MPB chance draw me back in. I did 2 days of SoS farming then called it quits.

havent done it much bout 250 runs since the event started nuttin but i was wondering if the mobs that spawn in the zone have something to do with what drops because i noticed that in 2 runs when the snowmen were the same spawns the drops were the same if some1 wants to look into this thatd be great b4 the event runs outzzzzz

The Wintersday Chest always drops one Snowman Summoner, Fruticake, Wintergeeen Candy Cane, and Spiked Eggnog. IIRC it's (anti clockwise from the top [above chest]) Fruitcake > Snowman Summoner > Wintergreen Candy Cane > Spiked Eggnog.

The fifth drop is out of an Eggnog, Fruitcake, Peppermint Candy Cane, Rainbow Candy Cane, Spiked Eggnog, Wintergreen Candy Cane, Yuletide Tonic or a Miniature Polar Bear and is always the drop directly infront of the chest.

As for the groups, the groups until the end are different, but the Grentch waves seem to be comprised of the exact same composition from what I've seen.

Well over 250 runs now and still no bear.. but appearantly a guildie of mine did get one after only a few runs :\

(and then the mean part.. making a thread on the forum saying 'For Shala' and then a screenshot of the bear... nice a screenshot of a polarbear..)

Everyone have a look. More information will help. The event probably end tomorrow at 12PM pst. If anyone has any final numbers to post, please do so.

I did 350+ runs and yielded 0 MPB, but I got like 15-20 stacks or more of CCS. Turned those into presents to get a TON of Wintersday Items to work on titles.

Done around 100+ runs, I have officially given up on this MPB. If I can't get it this year, i'll do it in 09 wintersday. It's not a bad haul for me. I have now close to a stack of everythings, one stack of wintersday gifts. Might as well use them to work on my titles.

Speaking of which, think on Canthan New Years, the celestial mini pet will be harder to get compared to MPB?

This thread reminded me of the one on "drop rates". I'm wondering if it's possible that instead of a "standard" drop rate (i.e., each run will run a dice with very low probability), there's instead a "lottery" system where only one MPB drops, say, every hour or 10 hours.

200 runs for me, no MPB but I'm still dodging snowballs quite well

223 successful runs, no bear. Fortunately, I climbed about a thousand points in my Sweet Tooth track and looted enough drinks and party items to make the rest of the distance in my Sweet Tooth and Drunkard tracks.

I don't know if A-Net should have done the same way Blizzard did for their mini polar bear. Blizzard actually gave away the mini polar bear as a celebration for their 4th years online. I thought that was nice of them to give us players something for sticking around 4 years. (even thought we pay them monthly fee)

Well, hopefully next years wintersday, the drop-rate might be a little bit better.

Useless, 250+ runes and no bear. Same frikking mess as last year or worse. Will they ever learn?
What exactly is the purpose of keeping this mini so rare anyways???
Does it give you unlimited powers? energy? health? No?????
Then why the heck keep it so out of reach for players?!?!?!?
I cant believe I have to put with this crap again, I said I would not be here this wintersday last year, well I lied. I am still here, but in what capacity.... I am just farming stuff for my HOM that I may or may not use.

O.M.G! They should give away mini pets for birthday presents! What an amazing idea!

On the runs front - I think it did about 200-300 runs. No Polar Bear, but lots of goodies, and pleased to rack up enough Spiked Nogs to finish off Drunkard. Hic!

I don't get why they only removed the rift warden and the NPC that takes you to the snowball arena. Yet they haven't taken down the decoration yet.
