Convenient is that I have a good amount of these saved up from vanquishing in Echovald Forest.
Inconvenient is his location - the far corner away from any outpost.
Recommended farm location: Exit Aspenwood Gate (Kurzick) into Ferndale. When you get to the valley, lots of Dredge and occasional Rot Wallows are there. Some Dredge bosses are there too.
From where you enter the valley:
* Go left for Tarlok Evermind
* Go straight to the mountain and go counterclockwise around the mountain for Wagg Spiritspeak
* Go right through the valley and you may bump into Mungri Magicbox
* Go past where Mungri normally is, and you'll find Tarnen the Bully in the mountains
* Go right and hug the wall, and you'll eventually get ambushed by Urkal the Ambusher and his group

If anyone knows of any better places then fire away. But the best ive come up with so far is basic spirit spamming outside seafarers rest (rhea's crater). Theres 3 groups of rockhide dragons and leviathon mouthes near the portal, 2 to your left and 1 a little bit futher down (only the dragons drop the crests).
Getting about 2 per run here.
P.S. Careful as the dragons use dragons stomp frequently, summon spirits with armour of unfeeling should be enough. If your skilled you should take them down easily.

I think the lower part of Silent Surf (enter via Unwaken Water (Luxon)) has plenty of enemies who can drop the crests... i never tried that area solo though.

For those who have trouble soloing SoS I went with 3 discord heroes and got about 2 drops per run. I left from Unwaking Waters to Silent Surf.

Only 4 Irontooth's, however, solo i avaraged 1 Drake Flesh per run.
Start from Astralarium, u then can avoid some plants outside Champion's Dawn.
EDIT: Freaking criminal, just noticed Drake Kabob sells for 1.5-2.5k
Totally insane in comparison to how easy Drake Flesh can be farmed.

A good place to farm drake flesh is in Mehtandi Keys. Lots of drakes along the south side & SE corner.

I found the best way to get Drake Flesh was from the 2 first pack of Steelfang Drakes in Rilohn Refuge mission.
Just make sure to pack a run skill down, cause if you take the normal path the annoying mission NPC Dehjah may pull aggro sometimes and get you killed if you dont manage to kill drakes fast enough. To prevent this, take to the right asap and run through the first pack of beetles (?), that way Dehjah wont start running and ruin things for you.
As a Warrior i just use a Riposte build, although I tried a VwK build with Radiation Field. Works probs the best and kills drakes very fast, I'm sure there are better builds out there but that got it done for me. 5 runs got me 10 Drake Flesh, in about 8-9 mins.

The Floodplain of Mahnkelon outside Moddok's Crevice. Eight (8) drakes plus a few Kournan. With Ranger or Ritualist Spirit Spam, pull Kournans well up the bridge to where Spirits await.
When Kournans dead go out and kill 8 drakes real quick. Two or three flesh per run.

The easiest way is to take "Drake on the plain" in riholon refoge.
as soon you zone send koss away outside of radar range, you will have a close 2 group of drake. they are composed by level 10, 18, 20 melee only. So pretty easy with any build.

Nicholas is this week (17 may) in Floodplains Of Mahn kelon collecting Dwarven Ales 6:1. THose can be bought from any dwarven emrchant in the shiverpeaks (for example the merchants in droks) for 200g each.
Nick is on the little hill where Dehjah teh water djinn is on doing the primary quest that takes u to rilohn refuge.

All I did was leave from Kodonur Crossroads, hugged the left wall, and made a break for Nick. I didn't have that other quest that makes Dehjah appear, so there was a small mob of Hekets patrolling around Nick. All you really need is a few run skills, since the Heket aren't that dangerous, though Ebon Escape or another shadow step ensures that you don't get body blocked.

I just managed to get six claws in one run by heading west from Dzagonur Bastion. Pulling ethers to a wall of spirits + spirit boon strike or technobabble is working very well. The only real difficult encounters are with ruby djinns, so play it safe.
Also, my two cents: placing Nick in an area that's temporarily inaccessible was just a poor choice.

Heck man, I was even able to get all 10 on my paragon solo, sure the drop rate isn't the best. but it beats paying 1.5-2k each for em.

SF? Shadow form? Fails! I tried, you still take damage from the dervs and die at first group.
Been spending two days now farming solo NM with my SoS.
I got a total of 8 claws so far.
Tedious and very annoying enemies to farm without a doubt!

It took me a bit more than 1h to solo 10 claws with my sos on east side of mirror of lyss. I died several times, but there are always a shrine nearby
This rit only have nightfallen garden, but then I just had another char collect the gifts in the normal garden.
