well i guess i judged to early then but i still don't like it that they pick rare materials as item for Nicholas.

Nicolas has lost his mind Thanks for the tip about the artisan, it's a lot cheaper that way.

Easiest week ever for me. Was debating on whether to get Elite Rogue or not on my Mesmer and had a bunch of these in stock. Decided against the armor and supplied my friends with plenty of Elonian Leather to take care of Traveler for all of us this week.

hmm, check all material traders in ALL campaigns (and EotN).
The ones in more popular towns/outposts will be out first.
I actually had the last Dust in Henge of Denravi and then the trader in Saitung Harbor had the rest i needed.
Same thing after Mesmer upgrade, sudden run on some Mesmer runes.
Rune Traders in less popular places still had them when Rune Traders in popular places were out (at the time i wanted to get some).

125 Dust and 125Hide can be farmed in no time at all if the traders are out of raw mats for the artisans. One of the easiest and cheapest weeks yet.

All those have hide, but can't decide what enemies are best to farm.
Edit: Wasted some time farming grawl, but never mind. I went from town to town and bought bit by bit. Got all I need to craft enough stuff for Nicholas.

Where do you farm what monsters then? for many fast drops that salvage into tanned hides?

or just play the game for a few days picking drops and salvaging them and you will have more than enough.
or feather farm in Jayla bluffs for an hour and you'll have a fair amount of hide with loads of feathers and minor runes as an added bonus, more than enough to buy mats even if you havent salvaged enough yourself.

doing the WiK stuff seems to net me plenty of armors that all salvage into hides ...and then in eye all those piles of elemental dust!! FINALLY they have a decent use (other than cluttering up my storage). Had enough from those to make enough elonian squares to refill my material storage!
so yeah pretty easy week again.

It was an easy week but no fun though. I had enough dust and hides to create the squares. But I like farming for Nick, I hope this does not happen again anytime soon.
Mintha Syl
you know, last week I made a nice amount of elemetal dust from eye...and sold the full stack sunday...same with tanned hide squred, spent 400 for an armor the same day, so out of stock of both
Luckily you make them again in no time, especially considering we have a full week for that.

Key words: "a few minutes later." Between the first time you checked and the second time you checked, someone (or more likely several people) have sold "out of stock" items to the merchant, providing them with a small stock.

Can someone tell me a good place to find those things?
Everywhere I check there's so few of them.

There are plenty near nick. Also a boss in the temple area before him. Go to the beginning of the swamp and more should spawn. Also in the beginning of the swamp.
Riot Narita
Leave Blacktide into the swamp.
Go straight ahead - 1 popup group.
Double back slightly, past the shrine and round the bend...
...follow the path straight down to the end - another 4 popup groups on the way.
/resign
repeat
Only takes a couple of minutes per run, everything you meet/kill will be mandragors, 1-2 swamproots each time.

I've found the best place to farm roots is in Mehtani Keys. Just run around in the muddy area toward the town portal. There's usually about three groups that pop up, but you don't have to worry about other enemy types getting in your way.
biofrog
Been a cash cow for me this week! I found it really easy solo farming the 23-24 groups of mandragors around the top of Lahtenda Bog. Really hit the right combo for me I think
15-20 roots per run, ~25 mins each.

Nick is in Gyala Hatchery near Yeti Boss Shockfoot. 2 moon shells.
Jahuta
Comfirmed. Just a little west of him on the beach area.
Anon-e-mouse
Confirmed, 2 Moon Shells per gift
Darcy
On wiki talk page, confirmed but no screenshot yet
Keen Oni Talons near first bridge from Leviathan Pits exit into Silent Surf, one per gift
This one makes me very glad I saved all that stuff.

Bonus if you have more Kurzick faction than Luxon - run out of Vasburg Armory into Morostav Trail and let yourself die. There's a rez shrine nearby, but it's Luxon with NPC's who won't talk to you. So you'll rez at the shrine right next to Nicholas.
June Bug
Not to mention the different mobs go hostile on eachother, like in Jade Sea. Which isn't a big deal if you aren't trying to farm a specific thing, but is when you are trying, lol. I farmed outside Vasburg, but the afflicted and the dredge/wallows kept going at eachother, it slowed things down.

Melandru's Hope worked for me solo with SoS RiT 2nd.
Exit Lutgardis Conservatory and hook a right to the bridge. You will run into Mantis'... just drop some spirits & keep running. Cross the bridge & your in farm country.
Fungal Wallow are generally paired up with a Dredge Gatherer, and they roam far & fast. Sometimes better to wait for them to come back.
Believe I averaged 2 Truffles per run.

If taking that route I would watch for Mantis dreamweavers as you're not going to be dropping spirits and running on if you get a crippling anguish to the face. Also if you don't get moving fast, several mantis groups tend to converge on you...Course practice makes perfect...

I SoS farmed in Melandru's while holding more Luxon faction than Kurzick. I just ran into first mob and died and was rezzed right next to the farm area. I got the 15 truffles I needed in about an hour's work. Rot would give me a bit of trouble, but I would pop up a summoning stone to distract him while my spirits finished him off. Once he rewarded me with two truffles, and another time he dropped his green offhand.
