I've been farming them north of Heroes' Audience. You have to fight through some sand elementals first, but it's worth it--may as well save up those lodestones for another week.

There are about 20-30 minotaurs in Prophet's Path northeast of Heroes' Audience/southeast of Amnoon Oasis, on the eastern side of the first teleporter going east from Amnoon (Nicholas is standing near the eastern side of the teleporter, as per the map). A boss minotaur (Cootle Sizzlehorn) might spawn. I got 4 horns on my last farm run.

I farmed the first part of Elona Reach. As long as you avoid the Dune Burrowers, you will find nothing but Minotaurs.
As far as running to Nick goes, I think it's harder to get there from Amnoon because the Jade Scarabs follow to the teleporter, and then I can't activate it. Instead, I ran from Augury Rock. I didn't need any protective spells, just my run stances.

Just go out from Augury with a spirit spammer, plenty of minotaurs for 10 horns, then jog on up to teleporter. Some boss minotaur was out there, but not much of a slowdown.

Instead of using my rit to sos for nich items, i decided to use my sin to farm Mino horns this week. Not bad for a change

I farm the beginning of the Elona mission about 12 or so minators at the begging and another 2-4 just past the bridge. 2minute farm just start mission and run out. As a War im set at 16axe 11 str 7 HP and 4 tactics
I use Healing Hands - vig spirit -Great Dwarven armor - LoD - Cyclone axe
bonnetti defence - Mind block and Furious Axe
My axe is 20:20 +15^50 +20% last longer and customized my shield is 30 -2enchanted or +45 -2 enchanted.
you can use more HP and less Str if you dont have GDA then another shield skill, Doly maybe ok, since you aggro all and just pound away with cyclone furious keepting Bonnetti up for E and HH and Vig for HP very easy run soloing with a war/mo 2 min and you got about 2-3horns and a few hides for another day.

Yeah I must have merched about 50 hides this weekend after farming Darkness at Kaitan quest with my 330 rit, but luckily had 32 hides in storage.

there are about 4 that CAN drop it...but its only the level 15 crimsons that do---not many of them anywhere (there are some around the quimeng quest area too).
Yes its a pretty rare drop--only had a few in storage from the years I have been playing (yes I keep everything like that).....but you can kill that group in haiju pretty easy with sos rit

Got mine in Panjiang Peninsula by the Warr Boss, 3 lvl 15s (one spawns on bridge). Zone in and out of Kinja, repeat.

The quest Quimang's Last Stand also offers more chances to get coins and you even have a gang of npc helpers on your way to them.
