You can always try the Hidden City. There should be a decent amount of them there and don't forget to save the other essences too. I think he asked for some of the others at some point too
Kook~NBK~
Hidden City is where I've been farming. And yes, he also asks for Diamond, Sapphire, and Water Djinn essences at various times.

I had some saved up from a while back, so for once I could finally just go to Nick right away. But I remember the drop rate being bad. For now there only seem to be a lot of WTB ads at Bone Palace.

Just got them using a perma build at Hidden City:
OwZUgokuuPTSf6MHQLilC5i8QtTA
Agro red left and top, pull to blue spot, sliver spam down melee mobs. Run to right side, keeping agro on left over ranged NPCs, and pull to green spot, sliver spam down.
You can go deeper into the place to find more, but it's usually just faster to pop those two groups. Spawns are random too, so sometimes they're almost all Rubys, sometimes there's just one or two.

That works pretty well Alay, just the things wont drop :/
Mouse at Large
Was not looking forward to this as I remembered trying to get them first time round. This time I got the 5 I needed in 7 runs with a 4 man team - go figure
Da Kenster
Not the best drop rate for me, but I got it done in the area near Nick using a solo spirit spam build. Shame it was all junk. I will get a Gwen Doll from a present yet!

Anyone found him yet?

Checked all the remaining EotN locations and saw no new Yak droppings.
Star_Jewel
Guildwiki.de found him in Majesty's Rest, collecting 2 Thorny Carapaces per gift. Confirmed -- here he is in English.

People seem to sell the carapaces for 1,5k/each.. Kinda funny because it's extremely easy to farm.
Star_Jewel
They always try that early on Mondays. If you're buying, try later in the week when the prices will stabilize.
Lest121
15k a set lol, I just got 2 sets for my accounts in 30mins....
Da Kenster
Had some of these from my Maguuma run, and got 13 on the waltz there solo spirit spam, easy week
Mokeiro
Showtime
It's the buyers fault paying too much just like with event drops lately. Some people figure gifts are 4-5k so anything under that is worth it for gifts if they don't have to get their hands dirty farming. Though I doubt many are paying above 1k each. Guess I'll farm em later.
cosyfiep
had plenty en-mule...got another set on the way there...no problems with these dropping like flies.
Kook~NBK~
Yeah, these sellers aren't taking into account the degree of difficulty involved with farming the different items. They're just looking at the price of gifts. Djinn Essenses: very poor drop rate and not the easiest things to farm- 2k per isn't ridiculous. Thorny Carapaces: Decent drop rate & easy-peasy enemies. Why even bother buying them? Getting the needed amount can be done just getting to Nick, if you take a bit of a scenic route!
It was nice to see how fast the greedy sellers got shut down last week!

Had plenty on on my prophs material mule for my five accounts plus 9 extra. Even with a full party of heroes, I'd collected another 10 by the end of my 3rd run to Nick.
Easy farm is right.

Looking at this post i expected this week to be very easy but..
Im getting 1 carapace per 2 majesty rest runs. Taken a few hours to get 20. 30+ runs.
Cant understand how people reporting 10 per run, major exageration or something. Theres what only ~20 mobs or so. The drop chance feels same as every other collectable drop.

I farmed around Druids Overlook and Ventari's Refuge, and the droprate was dreadfull
so....like....BAD luck....or overfarming seriously lowers the droprate.
I am a firm believer of the latter.
EDIT: today the droprate is much better

Last time he asked for the carapaces I used to clear Ettin's Back of devourers. Lots of them there.

These? http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Bone_Charm
Edit: Got it. These: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Bone_Charm_(trophy) Didn't make any sense to me since the other was not stackable.

You can opt to go the original route as posted on wiki, or another option is to start out at Aurios Mine with more Kurzick faction than Luxon faction, die, and you'll rez at the shrine in the middle surrounded by outcasts and can easily run over to the spot. Maybe even get lucky with a nice outcast drop from a chest in the area as well
June Bug
I rememeber this farm, there is a farm route starting from Aurios Mines in Rhea's that takes you through lots of outcast and a few Outcast bosses for their greens plus the Oni group that drops the Ungues of the Oni.

How have you guys been farming this.
I tried spirit spammer north of olafsted it worked but seemed slow due to the blocking stances on the berserker mobs and occasional knockdown

I had most of mine from my vqs, did the rest with a spirit spam build in this area, sticking with the groups of 3-4 warriors/rangers. It is not an optimal build, but it did get the job. The biggest issue was trample, but using summon spirits helped heal the spirits and that worked well enough for me. Again, it's not optimal, but it can get the job done in a pinch.

Easy week have those in storage...
June Bug
Yeah. Me too, I guess a lot have.
Ditto
For what it's worth I picked up the 7 carvings I needed quickly just doing the first couple rooms of the Warband of Brothers mission in HM on my rit with a generic ss build. Groups are small, maybe someone knows a faster way but that worked for me.
