For some reason I had an affinity for them plague idols and also have been keeping them for more than a whole stack now......though Nic and I still have to discuss what he gives me:
mysterious tonics, mysterious summoners, rockets, poppers, sparklers, honey, blue candy and crates of fireworks....ho hum....

think next time I will wait on opening them (I have been trying different 'techniques' to see if you get different results---this week was open 'em fast....doesnt seem to make a difference so far)

I'm going to hazard a guess and say they don't put in code for gift opening speed

. Maybe if you collect 50 gifts and open them within 10 seconds the last 2 gifts will contain a mini gwen doll and a mini yakkington

Nice and easy farm at least. Didn't get much in the way of good stuff. Finally got a Keg that my ale-hound-in-the-works will appreciate at least. Kinda offset the mercantile summoning stones, at least.

In all likelihood the code for opening them is similar to the code for opening the chests in Nightfall, the more you play the game, quests, etc, between opening the gifts the more you get. I haven't been playing too much and I've been getting nothing but crap. A month or so ago, I did play another of my characters, leveled up a mule a bit because I was bored, and got a couple of kegs (which is better then what I usually get).

Nope. The code for the Nightfall treasures is unique and not used for anything else in the game.

Spirit spam (solo) worked fine for me, probably not the fastest way to do it though. I happened to have Pain Inverter on my bar, and that spanked the assasins pretty good.

I ran 600/smite in HM. Pretty easy and I had 15 in a bit over 30min.

2 necro can screw the 105 hp monk. Barbed signet deals 43 dmg. Tried this with SH/SoA - it`s all the same. SSpamm for the WIN.

I used spirit spam with no problems. Just can't take on more than one, maybe two mobs at once.

Only problem comes from when there's an obstruction and the spirits can't target the monk who's healing from behind it.
