Anyone remembers hydras in Crystal Desert? Although they might be extinct by now considered how mindlessly farmed they were.

okay i got my 10 fast and semi easy couldnt do the boss. >> exit rankor into snakedance go left 2-4 their then turn back and to the right. from the exit to up a small point their are packs of griffons and in a caldesac is a griffie boss and some other griffons. and again nic hates me the old *beep beep* buger! 5 green rocks,5 myst summon and tonics,10 sparklers and 10 aged ales.

I take the same path as posted above...but the boss was simple...just kite a bit and keep throwing spirits down.

Hmm, 5 in 15 minutes, even the boss died (but no drops from him, of course). Nothing dropped for the first 10 minutes, then all of them fell, whammo!

I just Spirit Framed with my warrior got 8 in approx 20 minutes NM )had two in storage). Was able to take on groups of three but not four. Was dreading this farm but once I started it was very easy.

1 mysterious tonic

Drink Red Bull. It gives you wings.

But, if you use a spirit spammer - take Summon Spirits... use it when Griffons cast Symbol of Wrath to avoid them taking the AoE damage. Your spirits will last much longer this way. If you're quick you can use this when they cast Holy Strike too. Don't use Summon for the boss, spread spirits out, keep kiting and recast spirits as they fall. I didn't take Painful Bond - Griffons use Smite Hex.

I do not have fond memories of November with the terrible moss and token farms - had utter shit drops, had to farm almost the whole frigging week for these 2.
The idols drops were much better...

But, first I sleep.

Got 10 wings fast with 50/50 600/smite.

Also got other goodies such as Black Dye, and Elite Mesmer Tome.

600 works great here.. just bring IAU or Fleeting Stability.

EDIT: Here is the stuff I got from the gifts. Decent stuff.

I re-ran it a second time in HM (first time NM - 5 in 15 min) and got 5 in 20 minutes. a bit slower, but chance for better loot I guess...

I spiritspammed the south side of Snakedance in NM and got 12 wings in 3 runs. I'll do the other 8 some other time. On my first account I got 40 party points and a keg.

NM is fine. You can actually kill the monk boss in NM. Runs vary though. I've gotten 7 in one run and 2 in another.

First time Nicholas has ever given me something better than a keg, inscribable IDS, kind of nice I guess.

Farmed wings in NM with a spirit spammer, kind of slow, probably averaged 2-3 wings per run, killing every griffon up to the trolls. Plenty of feathers though, two full stacks plus change.

Don't feel bad I spent 1 1/2 hour last night and only have 6 (but I have been smacking some dwarves for fun as well running a 4 man team... not the optimal build but hammer smacking can be addictive)

I did 3 runs as 600/smite with Ogden in HM (6-7 minutes per run), and I have 8 wings

EDIT: 10 mysterious tonics, 10 hunter ales and 10 mysterious stones. Probably worst gifts ever ...

So it took me two hours of solo farming to get the 10 I needed.
I also need 10 more for my second account.
So today my guildy says he's farming them and if I want to tag along. He then goes on how he just finished two run in a team of 6 (him with 5 h/h) and how he got 6 wings. I of course share my loving opinion of his luck and then join him. I figured I might as well have his luck rub off on me.

But instead my lack of luck rubbed off on him. In the following 4 runs - he got 1 wing per run and I got 2. And my 2 aren't per run.
So right now I am sitting on 12 wings.
8 to go.
I guess some 2 more hours of solo farming and I'll be done. I might as well just sell the feathers I get and buy wings with that money ....

Took me around 10mins to get my 10 wings, nothing notable (tiny title progress every week, yay!)

Got tonics and summoning stones last week, nothing special. The wings were surprisingly easy to get, though. Did about half 600/smite (my Rit as the tank with VwK) in HM and half spirit spam in NM. Also got somewhere between 5k and 10k in merch junk, which wasn't bad for half an hour of farming.

Now, let's see where he is this week...I'd go on the hunt, but I'm class right now.
