banned for 2 weeks at the mo, some one called me a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO... my reply was "i find RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO offensive so u fancy shutting up"... they banned be clearly for just saying the word... nt deserved at all... unbanned tomo :/

i was perma for selling 10 fames for 20k.(ingame service)

I made a warrior named "I Pooped." I figured if they didn't want me to have poop in my name, they'd not have let me input it, like other offensive words. After some use, he served mainly as a mule. 2 years later, I got a 72 hour ban out of the blue. I guess someone saw the name in the 5 minutes I was logged on and decided reported it.

I wish Anet had something other than 72 hour bans. In WoW, I remember, they first talk to you and give you a warning before doing anything, unless whatever you're doing is serious. Then a 3 hour, then a 24, 72, etc.

Funny how a lot of the people who say they have are all responding along the lines of "WTF a.net sucks &%^&! **#&!@**@&*"
For the most part, the people who are banned deserved it.

Every once in a while a mistake gets through (ie, a friend of mine got banned when A.net messed up his credit card information when he bought new storage), but most mistakes are quickly fixed (my friend got his account back in one business day).

four year one ban had a little problem with my credit card used the wrong card by mistake to make a purchase but got it all resolved thanks to support ban was lifted even though it was deserved.

Been playing for a little over 3 years, no bans. I'm surprised, tbh.

I been playing since Beta, and I have no intention of getting myself ban. I have 4 accounts, the main account has collector edition ;3

I have never had a warning or a ban of any kind and I intend to keep it that way. If anyone starts talking crap on the game I immediately add them to my blacklist so I never have to listen to them again, I don't talk to people unless I have to and if a discussion comes up about race,religion or something or other in alliance or guild chat I turn them off, I don't play the game for other people, I play it for myself and I don't care what other problems people have.

One ban, 72 hours. What happened?

1) I was standing in GToB, running around, and someone traded me out of the blue.
2) I hit "Submit Offer" and he hit "Submit Offer". My trade was empty, his has 100K gold.
3) I pmed him "?? You're giving me 100k?"
4) He didn't reply.
5) I hit "Accept", he hit "Accept". I got 100K for nothing!
6) After 5 mins, he PMs me in really broken english (like he doesn't speak english), "Sorry back 100K pls. Wrong person"
7) I was contemplating, whether I should return him? Should I?
8) I returned him the 100K, after LOL'ing at him for 5 mins.
9) After 10 mins i got banned for buying in-game gold, and was told that the 100K will be removed from my inventory.
10) Filed support ticket, no response.
11) 72 hours later, ban lifted, and my storage had -100K gold (and that was after I RETURNED the 100K gold).
12) Pissed (I missed a double faction weekend), spammed support till they got back to me.
13) 1 week later i got back my 100K.

It shows how Anal Anet can be when it comes to the ban stick.

72 hours for spamming "we win" over 100 times in HA local chat. This was because we had blocked ourselves in front of tV's IWAY for luls and then won at /roll. The injustice, they didn't leave!

Why? Because it was hilarious. Everybody laughed with the exception of one random guy who was "offended" and he wasn't even Jewish....

I've done 400k+ other stuff in one go before with no ban. And I used to transfer 100ks+ between two accounts in a matter of minutes when I was seriously trading. No bans for that.

On-topic, no bans ever in game. I was banned on guru for a few days for multi-threading and warned for cussing at someone though.

Yes, banned once, 72 hours, for using expletives deleted. However, I don't care. I spent 4 hours attempting to do V-square HM and could not get through for No Fault of My Own! For 4 hours Master Slogo got stuck at various and random places in the map. Going through first door, stuck; going up ramp, stuck; going passed treasure chest, nope - stuck; going cross bridge, nope - stuck; rounding corner with chest, stuck; etc. ad nauseum. This was after having to twice repeat Arborstone because Danika was too mesmerized by the stain-glass shrine to move. And Korlis Deeprunner lost us the mission there because he was too fascinated with treasure chest to walk buy it - stuck. After those and the 4 hours of - S t u c k! I was angry.

GW has known about these problems since they published the games and the best they could come up with as an excuse for doing nothing was: We have never seen these glitches on any of our test computers so we can't fix them. I find it incredulous that in 4 years they can't fix the problems. Like having to go back and agro the trees you can't hurt in order to get the druid to finish walking to the circle in Bloodstone Fen. They don't fix them because they like wasting our time and making sure we accomplish nothing in a reasonable time and manner (the basis for skill destruction as soon as anyone can find a way to start gaining ground against game goals).

So yes, I got P/Oed and I screamed in public chat loud enough to get their attention and find out they really dont give a rat's A about whether or not the game actually works.

Deserved, yes - according to whatever narc wanted to leave their chat filter off so they could feel good about being offended. However, I counted on them to get attention on something that should not be broken and about which GW Does Not Care! because they do not really give a rat's A about our community at all except for whether or not they can get more money out of us for the next whatever.

Because of these behaviors (and not just in GW) most of my gaming clan has writtin NC Soft off. After they banned one of us for attempting to get his free storage page, and then lied and said it only affected a some people on Euro servers, they have further alienated many of us. Several have simply gone to playing other games from other companies. And if they continue screwing up GW 1 and planning to make GW 2 into a PvP push palace, then I doubt those of us still playing will have any reason to promote anything else they do to anyone searching for a game.

Three bans:

Two 72 hour bans for being naughty (Saying F-off in local and such) in local. (Both very deserved and they were worth it.)

One perma ban for screwing with my guildie (I know he wasn't the one who reported me). I said, and I quote, "im in ur c0mput0rz haxx0ring ur pr0nz." (Undeserved.)


I was permabanned for "threatening to hack" because it's, as the ban told me, "Breech of conduct."


Four days and I had the perma overturned. Didn't even get a "Whoops, sorry. Didn't realize you were joking". Just had it undone. Works for me, though.

Banned for 4 days, because of Fraud! In the big "Shop accident" of a few weeks ago.

Was it deserved, nope, ANET error (Affected a good number of people), but had good contact with ANET and it was resolved in an "accectable" but annoyingly long length of time!

Anet are pretty infamous for banning over mundane things. I very much doubt any of them actually go to great temple of balth Int dis 1 and see all the obvious bots.

This made me lol.

This got me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes and a little wet spot in my shorts. I mean I laughed hard, long and loud and its 3 am in the morning so the people who live near me must be none to happy with me right now! Roflmfao!

Like 36 months of playing, never banned. I get smashed hard when I play games sometimes on booze and herbal love. So I have, on occasion, used profanity In just about every single town/district and region there is. I must just get the lazy people who can't be troubled to report me.

I'v turned on allies in RA and PvE. Ran away and let the other team/monsters kill the person I didn't like. Always the people who try to tell me/friends/teammates how to play, what to use or how tasty us noobsteaks are. (you gotta PM the other team for this to work. They love it)

I bash on satanists all the time. And have had death threats against me, hack threats against me. lol. But I'm still here and so is my account.

For the most part, I try to follow the rules and be a cool customer. I don't enjoy making others angry, but sometimes its fun. (picture a little angry 100lb 14 yr old rage screaming at his pc monitor and beating the hell out of his keyboard) Thats always a good way to kill 5 minutes.

I have been banned once on starcraft in like 98 for calling a Bser a self hating inbred homosexual nazi. He screenshotted it and reported me. Got that account locked but I had like 2 others. But I really enjoy guildwars and worked hard on my warrior (almost 4 years on the same character) so I put forth alittle extra effort to watch what I do and who I do it around.

I don't use vent because the sound of 14-16 yr old voices get under my skin. Also I can't handle the language gamers use. No profanity, but stuff like "Uber" and "Noob", hell one time someone even said "Rofl". I just want to choke them until they stop living.

I'v been banned on the playstation forums for life and on the aqua teen hunger force forums and I had a few myspace accounts closed due to calling some moderaters names I can't repeat here.

Oh and I'm no longer welcome at seaworld. But thats neither here nor there.
Word of advice, don't get drunk and throw stuff at the announcers.

28 months playing, have been banned once for 72hours becouse spamming in the chatt channel, sounds embarrassing... it was the first day they announced the new chatt channel rule and i didn't know it.

Not that I know of.
I am too busy with work, my family and BBQ's.
I log in, sometimes go to Kamadan and enter on a discussion with someone, we trade insults in all chat, then I go to farm something and then log off for another 2-3 weeks.
So if there was a /report for my language and got banned for XX amount of hrs, I have never known.
