Warrior's Endurance: this skill is now a stance. Just 2 days ago I got tormented daggers for my Warrior, and go figure, they have to use Warrior's Endurance for the build, which is completely worthless without an IAS. |

blah, not happy about WE. getting nerfed for PVP... also WoH and PnH nerfs suck... those were good skills the way they were. i do like the ele buff to elemental lord and the buffs to ranger skills. Merchant is nice in GToB..i dunno what the crap they did to aegis... Low blow looks fun since now warriors can inflict cracked armor much more easily with an axe/sword.... low blow should work good with "you move like a dwarf"... overall, i would say pretty small/bad update... not worth the wait.
why in hell aren't more dormant and unpopular skills/elites buffed??? i really don't get it... that's the stuff that would make the game more interesting... rather than changing skills, reverting them back to their original status after a change... example: warriors endurance... used to be a stance, changed to a skill, now a stance again.... jesus make up your minds anet. tinkering with the same skills is aggravating and discouraging.

Honestly 1/2 a year for this kind of an update? Let's address a few of the bigger problems, some skills no one cares about and call it a day. Sure, they had the 4th year update, but balance > stylist/namechange.

And SoH aswell.

And where's the lifesteal functionality chage? Was too buggy? Not enough time to test? At least bspike isn't any problem in current meta so it's a nonissue.

No SF nerf for PvE after over a YEAR of being obvious it's totally broken (not to mention RoJ and a few other skills).

Low Blow will see A LOT of use aswell.
Elemental Lord - good change, weak skill turned into decent, not overpowered - in some builds I'd still use AoR over this.

Why the nerf to Protective Was Kaolai? It wasn't needed in PvE and basically just messes up Sabway and Discordway.

Amazing update. I'm not actually sure how they did it, but ArenaNet actually managed to smiter's boon certain skills, wreck others still, insubstantially nerf several critical skills, and manage to push the meta to superpowered physicals, all in one update.

Apparently they have left out nerfing bloodspike alltogether , for those who didnt know the intention was to change the life stealing mechanic so prot would trigger - but 2 months down the line they try to rush the coding for it in one day and cant complete it in time.

The [Aegis] change for PVP is a complete joke right? What good is a few seconds of immunity on a 30s recharge? Oh crap, teh spike target has Aegis on them, umm, lets either wait for 3 seconds or change target maybe?
Paragons already have a couple of unused anti spike skills - [Angelic Bond] and [angelic protection].
If no one is using these, what makes you think the new one will be used?
TBH, [Aegis] should have been left as it was, it was far far better before for PVP, and [divine intervention] should have recieved the new Aegis functionality.

Yeah, is it that they don't know how to script the AI to flee from RoJ or what? Death ray should have been hit, the duration and AoE of LC should have been hit, the ele, ranger and warrior stuff is ok guess... Nerfing castigation sig doesn't hurt smiting builds that much, the only way they can buff IW so it means anything is if they make it a skill and not an enchant...
About the only thing is summon spirits works a little better to make the communing stuff last longer, but not much...
I wonder if you could use scorpion wire with the new heart of shadow, cast it, move back, jump away, then towards your foe....

If the WoH on wiki is from before this update, looks like WoH's overall healing went down by 10-20 points.
