Once again no Paragon updates. Can't believe we've been waiting for this crap update. Anet, get your act together. Yea gw2 is important but dont you think keeping us around until it comes out is more important. Stop ignoring Paras and Rits.

Yep, another letdown, 3 months for this? Again a thoughtless update, not many improvements. How has this game survived so long with these "genius's" at the helm? Anet is probably sitting around flipping paper footballs at each other now, laughing there asses off,high-fiving, etc, etc, etc....

I liked the fact that some big skills got toned down and there weren't really any buffs. Too often skills get buffed. It was nice to see a change.

Elemental Lord is still sucky for PvE considering the recharge. Nice try, but recharge needs to be 10 seconds to make it better than Aura or to cover attunements.
That PnH nurf should have been only for PvP - now it is unusable in hex heavy PvE areas.
The rest of this update seems rediculously scatterbrained. Making IW 5 energy doesnt change the fact that it sucks... come on.

Lingering Curse insubstantially nerfed, bandaid fixes to kappa mesmers, at least WE is going to go away. And the buffed PvE skills, apart from elemental lord, still suck. Meh.

interesting. Will the smack to Aegis and PnH, and to the necro skills, make paragons--or at least some of their skills--at all useful again?
The alterations to ranger skills are...dunno. Hunter's shot and Melandru's get a nice look, but I'm not sure the change is that warranted...

I'm not advocating OpenGuildWars — still, leaving us guessing till the actual moment of release should become a thing of the past. Especially when it comes to game mechanics that are in obvious need of a fix (plenty have been mentioned in this thread).
An organised dialogue needs to come into existence between the community and the developers balancing the game.
But not all the time.
In the end, the skill updates I like the most happen when ArenaNet dares to be creative. The recent change to Hundred Blades is an excellent example of that.

Wow they really nerfed the chit out of STEAM also. That stacked with glyph of Immolation has been my bread and butter for a longggggggg time now. Now it's worthless as a damage spell. I sent many a warrior and sin and ranger to their grave with that combo. Guess they cried so much wah wah wha QQ QQ QQ Anet finally nerfed it.
And now why would anyone use Mirror of Ice when Echoed SHATTERSTONE will do 500x more damage in an inkling of the time?? At a solid 60 seconds it was a viable ELITE, but, now? lol I'll use Shatterstone with echo instead. Stomp me some rangers and sins and warriors I will. Oh I hear yah but I'll have resolve skill don't worry interupters! lol

What work? I don't see anything on the list I couldn't have drunkely blurted out after knocking back a few dozen shots of vodka. It's barebones and doesn't really solve any big problems, just likely to cause a few.

You don't think it's odd that even people who don't comment on skill updates are complaining? This is leaving many disappointed because of the time they had and what we recieved. It basically looks like they worked on the skills at the last minute because they were so caught up with their whole 4th year update.

Reminds me of Chaos Storm. Take a crappy skill, lower the energy cost, make it an easier to use crappy skill, that people only use for the cool animation.

Anet still can redeem themselves by giving a non-profession skill that vanquishes an area of all monsters when used, just to give the PvP population a laugh

I'm personally not too upset about the monk changes, it'll be nice to see the bar significantly change after such a long time running the same basic skills for months. Disappointed with ranger changes though - was it really that big of a deal?

The WoH nerf I actually agree with.
PnH as you will still see this ran with the nerf to aegis.
Vipers defense might actually buff the mo/a template, but prob not.
PwK needed a nerf, not sure that this will actually help maters much
