Nightfall...

It brought about grinding.
It introduced heroes, and while I do love my heroes and have invested millions of gold in their equipment, they ruined the game for me.
It had lame missions, some of which required certain heroes.
It added two new professions for the sake of adding two new professions.
The power creep...
I think Nightfall had the first PvE skills, sunspear skills.

Nightfall. I detest grinding. It's not the same as Factions at all. I loved Factions I still do. But Nightfall uggg and heroes. Maybe pugs weren't perfect but 90% yes 90% of the time it was fun. Before you had to be oh so awesome to get invited to a group. Nightfall takes forever to get off that nasty newbie Island grind and grind. End game stinks.

Everything else I like.

HeHe, everyone seems to feel differently about which is the "worst" expansion.

All of them have a high degree of polish and add tremendous value to the game. Each one has it bright spots.

If I were, however, to point to one and say "NI!"...it would probably be the dungeons in EOTN, which I've found to be less impressive than was advertised.

We have pve skills in factions. Or were they added after nf release? Actually I got confused since you are not the first one who wrote that first pve skills were in NF.

Anyways I do not like Nightfall due to its storyline. Fighting a god? WTH? The last mission could be something like ruins of Morah and not like it is now in Abaddons gate. Pvp aspect of NF I would not comment...

They were added at the same time. June 15, 2007: "Players can now acquire twenty new PvE-only skills. There are ten Sunspear skills (one for each profession), and ten Kurzick/Luxon skills (one for each profession)."

Although technically there were the Lightbringer skills (Gaze/Signet) and the Sunspear Rebirth Signet before that, but most people aren't talking about those when they speak of PvE skills.

Nightfall for the inscriptions and mandatory heroes on missions.

I use to like inscriptions, but now I don't because it gave me more of a reason to by keys. But now that the treasure title is account based that brought me back, but I have more fun opening chests in Factions and Prophecies for a chance at a perfect r9 weapon.

And the mandatory heroes on Nightfall missions just blows.

If EOTN had instant fail if a NPC died in a mission it would be worst, but it doesn't so I like it. Just wish they went back on the other campaigns and fixed that ( I'm looking at you Kilroy )

NF. At first I hated factions and actually loved NF, but recently I just can't seem to enjoy doing anything in it... Missions are boring, quests are boring, PVE skills ruined the game...

I'm not sure if I disliked NF or EOTN more. The storyline for both was enjoyable, I'm just not a huge fan of the foes. It often feels to me like explorable areas are more about foes dumping degen of one sort or other on you as opposed to exploration (which is what I think explorable areas should really be about). Perhaps if explorable areas were more expansive I would have been more satisfied with the gameplay.

This one is hard I am going to say EOTN even though it isn't an actual campaign; I despise it. Next up is definately prophecies it is just too long.

Nightfall and Factions are both my favorite campaigns, I like both storylines and the themes (asian/egyptian (african), Also the elite areas in the campaigns: DOA, Deep, Urgoz.

In order from least to greatest: EOTN, Proph, Factions, NF

Factions, because of ...faction.

I hate that mechanic. I just saved the world, yet half the damn continent won't talk to me.

I think my history of character creation says a lot:
Original slots:
4 Factions (June 2007) - rit, favorite necro, monk, ele
New campaign slots:
1 Proph (Dec. 2007) - favorite ele
1 Nightfall (March/April 2008) - derv
1 Nightfall (June/July 2008) - necro (made to play with friend who only had NF, now languishing at 14 since he quit)
1 Proph (Fall 2008) - mez (made to play with friend who only had Proph, now languishing at 8 since she quit)
Extra slots:
1 Nightfall (Dec 2008) - para (languishing at maybe 10 since para squad broke up)
1 Factions (June 2009) - ranger

I hate Proph. Hate it, hate it, hate it. The leveling is slow (if I want leveling, I'll play one of my WoW alts!), the skills are doled out unbearably slowly (how am I expected to make and fine-tune a build when I can't get all my skills?), you can't get the attribute bonus until you ascend (wtf man?), the missions take like 3 hours (why why whyyyyyy? I miss knowing that the mish will take precisely 30 minutes if we do it correctly), the outposts are too far between (I hate trekking through 3 explorables to get to the next place), and the environments are meh (Factions and Nightfall are so much prettier).

Factions is I guess the second one after Proph, just because of the large chunk of the game that is Kaineng. It's still much better, though.

I dislike Factions very much because:

-the sceneries are the ugliest (this is my point of view obviously)
-the city is a damned maze
-i really hate time based missions
-i really really hate vizunah square (and to be forced to complete it to progress into the campaign)
-i really really really hate the eternal grove
-...
-i suppose there's something else..

the only thing i like in factions is to farm luxon assassins with the quest The Alcyon Job
