Prophecies.

Seriously, had I not gotten Factions two weeks after I got Prophecies, I probably would never have actually played GW at all.

I can't stand Prophecies. It's too slow. Most of the settings are downright ugly. The setup of the game leaves you gimped until you get to the very end. Henchmen suck and do not keep up with the levels of the enemies in areas. The story is overly convulated and ends up with you having basically done nothing. Missions are long, pointless, and the bonuses tend to be even more pointless. Quests are equally pointless and don't give anything worthwhile in return. And so on.

I just finally finished Prophecies, and frankly, I'm done with it. Eventually I'll need to drag my two Prophecies-born characters to the desert to ascend, but until I get around to doing that...I don't think I'm going to step foot in that game for a very long time.

Nightfall's my favorite. My favorite profession is from that game, I like the settings and general design, and heroes mean I don't have to deal with other people at all unless I want to - which largely, I don't. And people who complain about grinding for Sunspear levels are just lazy. Getting the right ranks for the attribute points, or getting r7 to continue when you get to Kourna, is downright easy and really doesn't require doing much beyond actually playing the game.

I started a couple of characters in Prophecies purely for the skill-quests, because I was relatively broke and couldn't afford to buy that many skills. I've completed it on those two characters, and I really want to complete it on my necro (I also want to get her a Proph elite armour set) - but without friends, it's really draggy.

I didn't get the last 15 attribute points on my monk 'til after I finished Factions, either. --;

This.

And my take:
Prophicies by FARRRRRR
RETARDED storyline + lengthy and boring characters. Its the only campaign i havent finished yet.

Although the Euro sceneries were decent.

EToN comes in as 2nd.

i would have to say factions, i hate the timed missions. It also means i hate a fair few bits on nightfall.

Maguuma does have a curious amount of wasteland for a place named "Jungle"...

It's worse than that, we spend parts of the story undoing things we did earlier. (Look at the Scepter of Orr, which we: saved from the undead, gave to the Mantle, stole from the Mantle, gave to the guy who turned out to be in charge of the undead, killed him and took it back, at which point Glint took off with it and now Livia apparently has it. Or will have it. Or something. I'm sure we'll have to kill her for it in GW2 )

This. Even the ones that give skills are so bizarrely unbalanced and random (giving lots of skills for one attribute and few for others, still giving you entry-level skills, ones you get right off the bat in the other campaigns, in the desert, etc).

Some of those talking about how "long Prophecies takes" or "how bad the henchies are" are the same ones that made PUGs so painful. The whole point of henchies being like Alesia(the hoe) is because they were only used as an alternative for grouping with HUMAN BEINGS. If you and your guildies/friends couldn't get a full team together, you would slap on an extra and go in. Otherwise, Anet would have given them meta builds to use. After Night-fail, people play the game like it's Final Fantasy or Dragonquest, even in missions.

I would love to see a week where all heroes were disabled, and people had to rely on Mhenlo's epic Orison of Healing and touch heals. Love to see how bad PUGs would be. I am far from an epic player, yet I managed all of prophecies and factions without heroes or PvE skills. I wanted to actually learn how to PLAY the game, not feel entitled to have a win button, just because I suck at the game. There are probably people out there on their way up the KoaBD ladder that have no ability, and just let SAB/Discordway save their asses all the way.

Wow. You've wanted to get that off your chest for a while now, haven't you?

Nightfall. No choice. My Paragon reached level ten, did all the quests up to Isle of the Dead, and it was as boring as hell! Of course, that was my first ever char, and his death rate reflected it: He has 10'500 deaths, rounded.

I love them all, but comparing the character developments of all 3 campaigns I have to say Nightfall. I completed all my foreign to Nightfall characters on all 3 campaigns and expansion, except those I started from nightfall, they reach level 20 and they have since become mule and waiting for minipet to arrive. So I vote Nightfall.

Methinks for that week, most people would solo farm, or not play until that week was over, rather than be forced to play in a way they don't want to.

I would much prefer to play FF or Dragon Quest than any MMO, or action-RPGs in general.

Not everyone wants to play with others.

My wife and I both HATED Factions: It was all good until we reached that Shanty-Town known as Kainang, with it's seemingly endless fed-ex quests. The timed missions were also a pain.

Prophecies was the best it was an epic journey and was structured differently the new campaigns leave all the action till level 20. When first release prophecies was challenging throughout(remember the first time you got smashed by those rune dropping ettins )

Factions was the worst the city was so boring I quit. I then came back and completed it with masters in every mission in a weekend.

Factions got better after the city but it was a large boring obstacle and it seemed like my character was level 20 within a couple of hours :\
