FoW Forest of The Wailing Lord
Scoundrels Rise Vanquish HM
N-Kryta Tengu Feather Farm HM
Nahpui Feather Farm The build isn't the most original however I was surprised with some technique how well this build works. I only have a good ranger so I suspect a ritualist primary could do the run as well although expertise helps.
12 Expertise(use hat+superior rune)
8 Communing
10 Channeling
10 Restoration
Spirit Leech Aura
Signet of Spirits
Vampirism
Bloodsong
Pain
Shadowsong
Armor of Unfeeling
Feel No Pain(this slot im still experimenting with)
I have found that the entire uw(minus quests so far) can be solo'ed using this build however it is still in the experimental phases. A large of amount of the quests can be and all might be possible with more practice/thought into the run.
Here are some screen shots of the fun:
/////////////////////////////////UPDATE #1//////////////////////////////////////////////
I have found that 3 professions seem to have the most advantage running the build. Ritualist primary, Ranger primary, and Necro Primary because of their main attribute.
Things to point out for your spirit army based on your class:
#1)Rt primary your tanking spirit should be bloodsong with vampirism as a level wall.
#2)R/Rt or N/Rt the primary tanking spirit should be vampirism if you have max sunspear as it is your best tank.
Some Areas you can farm:
Minister Cho's Estate HM: The entire Mission
Defend Droknars Forge NM: Almost all mobs can be killed and the quest can be done
Lornars pass NM: A large amount of it I postulate a solo droks run of fighting the way is possible
UW SC Vale Support HM: The build seems to work alright for vale support
Twin Serpent Lakes NM: The entire zone
Fog Nightmares outside of TOA NM: All of them along with lots of other mobs out there
Mineral Springs NM: Lots of avicare and ice imps to kill
Breakers Hollow: Oni right outside to the right in NM or HM
TOPK NM: First Floor is possible not sure on second(A speed clear I believe is possible using a Shadow form sliver tank with a spirit wall player)
Raisu Palace NM: Some shiroken mobs can be farmed
Rhea's Crater NM: Almost all of the outcast can be farmed and its not a bad run
Piken Square HM: Char lots of them to solo they are semi easy
Fow various parts such as skeleton army NM: It takes some work and it is not the easiest but they are possible relatively fast with good pulling.
etc..
I also want to add in a Flat Bow is a must have item for this farming as it can make it so you take zero damage.
I will keep adding to that list as I think of them/test them out or as people post the spots. I know for a fact there is a ton more areas farmable just need to test/confirm.
Here are some new screens and I am also making progress on the team build and to those who pm'ed me about helping test it I may message you in the next week or so.
**This is not the complete update I am still getting everything else setup to upload pics/info**

How long did it take you to do this run?
mastar of warrior
go Rt primary, and Assassin secondary, theres a way to solo the four horsemen quest, but not sure if you could fit that into ur build
Lord Zion
Mind explaining the mechanics of the build?
Nice job!
Nice job!
Lord Of Blame
Have you tried [painful bond] instead of [feel no pain]?
Wonder if that would be better?

looks really nice indeed but I think it's going to work a lot better with Rt primary.
Lord Xivor
Do it in HM now. Anything can solo UW in NM...

What if you ran Duo rits? it would make the run faster and you could do some/most quests
I'd suggest bring a hero, but how would they do alone on 4h? (obviousally not the same spirits...)

WOAH.
I'm so doing that tomorrow, either on Ranger or Ritualist...
Oh, Feel No Pain? Ritualist it is.
...Where's the catch? I think Feel No Pain can be changed for... Vital Weapon, Resilient Weapon, Recuperation (...nah), Spirit Light, Boon of Creation or Spirit's Gift.

Nice!
How about a Rit without Restoration and Painful Bond + Summon Spirits (+100 Heal)

OK I did the run with some modifications.
First, I used a primary Rit. Then I swapped "I feel no pain" for Summon Spirits (Spirit Heal/Teleport). I suggest using Painful Bond instead of Armor of Unfeeling.
I decided to use three superior runes: Communing, Restoration, Channeling. I maxed channeling to 16.
*You need Spiritleech Aura for Smite Crawlers*, do not cast Painful Bond there (Smite Hex!).
I ran out of time today, but I think the build can be optimized. But it is already very very easy, but I think it cannot beat the usual farming builds in pure speed.

looks really nice, showed it to my little bro( his first char is a rit ) and he /danced
but want to share how it works and how you use it?
looks really nice and looks like a reason to level my ranger.
looks like it can be done on any caster if you have high energy.

ok at the beginning i take the quest & kill the graspings no problem, but the aaxte either kill spirits even with Spirit Leech Aura & when they dont kill them they like i guess rage quit & run away xD, i put the spirits in multiple places & the aatxe seam to get their way every time, do u just run past them when u have cons up? im lost xD, tell me what to do & in the mean time ima experiment with more dmg, im thinking pain inverter will be nice on cold fires lol
nvr mind i put painful bond in & its goin super fast & smooth lol

The Rt primary might be faster and better however there 2 two things to make note of which are expertise helps with spamming the spirits immensely and higher armor vs elemental damage. The second doesn't seem like it would be as important but spawning pools and charged blackness can be rather nasty especially since they do get a hit or 2 in with a spell. I wish I had a Rt primary that was decked out enough to test the run however one of the biggest backbones of the run is vampirism with armor of unfeeling since that is your "tank" spirit as i call it. The tank spirit should always be out front to take aggro. Bloodsong is my secondary tank spirit that is next in line after vampirism. I then create a square or triangle based pattern depending on the mob and area for the rest of the spirits.
It is key to keep your spirits spread out against any mobs with aoe so they last longer. The technique to killing things is to constantly be retreating back as the spirits die you are recasting the dead ones. The point is you keep an endless wall of spirits that keeps regrowing and designing itself as the battle wages on. The advantage to this is the fact you almost never take damage or hexes.
Some hints for certain creatures:
Aaxte: only aggro 2-3 at most 1-2 being optimum and you must have shadowsong neutralizing at least one of them.
Grasping Darkness: They are a big joke just have spirits up before hand so they don't disrupt your casts.
Terrorwebs: take on small groups of 2-3 if possible, the spirits must be heavily spread out and keep on your toes you got to constantly rebuild your army and also try to draw out meteor showers in useless spots.
Bone Pits in General: Make your army with room to flee back behind your spirits with a flatbow. If done right you won't take any damage or hexes.
Mindblade Spectres: Spread out army keep your distance aggro with flatbow to avoid getting hexed with ignorance which weakens your army. The groups of 9 can take a bit occasionally you might have to flee for 20 seconds to get an army going again.
Banished Dream Riders/Wailing Lords: Stupidly easy just let an army take them out.
Obsidian behemoths: Build an army and wand them as well very easy
Charged Blackness: 2-3 at a time at most, carefully setup a spread out army since chain lightning hurts and much like terrorwebs armor of unfeeling must be kept up at all times or the spirits will die too fast.
Smite Crawlers: 5 at most however try for less if possible and make sure you army is spread out zealots spam sucks and also keep up spirit leech aura so its vampiric damage not normal damage thus making reversal of fortune crap for them. The smites have to be fought kind of like aaxte dance around a bit retreating while constantly renewing the army.
dying nightmares: LOL THEY'RE SPIRIT FOOD
coldfires/lil lizards: spread out army have room to fall back as you rebuild the army. also you want a premade army for these guys lots of aoe.
ghosts with IW: just setup an army they go down relatively fast
I have been experimenting with other skills instead of feel no pain such as painful bond. A ranger can't consistently keep it without using all their energy. The other big issue if you notice everything i use is classified as a binding ritual or skill thus making mindblade disrupts useless where as with painful bond well gl getting it casted and targetted.
I also am working on a team build for uw that isn't sf using and could potentially be pretty fast but more importantly fun. The times I can't really be too accurate on yet as I am still finding the sweet spots of timing and how to aggro each group but one I know off the top of my head is the whole start area/first reaper area takes about 10-12 minutes.
Post any questions if you have them I am still constantly exploring possibilities and making changes to this run. I also certainly encourage everyone to post success with variations and how well a rt/x can do with modified skills.
Thanks,
Spun Ducky

roflmao @ no one makes nm farming builds anymore.
Ppl do and when put out ppl like you blast the idea for the reasons you said.
Sensali feather farms done in nm str8 off my head.
The builds you see for hm are usually designed for that reason - hm not the drops , 600/smite works at optimum in hm - exceptions are uw/fow and maybe Rot.
Reason is in nm some foes attacks wont even trigger spiritbond meaning ur screwed on healing. Some builds require skills or attacks that only are done in hm or certain attack sppeds by foes.
Wanting all drops is greedy - tut tut lol.
I like this build idea and may be tempted to try it after more feedback from players

I went in UW (NM) with a similar build right after the spirits modification. Took me about 45 minutes to clear ataxe, mountain up to the chaos plains and the first 2 horsemen there (not the quest) with the annected mobs. Honestly? It was boring and not worth the time spent in fact I ended up resigning.
BTW painful bond makes things easier, I guess you could do many quests as well. Spawn spirit on a side (talking about wastes and plains) activate the quest and hope for the best. In 1 hour a perma could clear chaos plains (HM) or go with a friend and do the whole UW.

Very good build, got about 6k in 45 minutes, died in the Valley, because I've aggroed 2 groups of Coldfires.
I'll go for Spawning Pools next time.

We should work on that team build idea you have with the guild tonight. I'll talk to you about it when i'm home from work.
but on topic.
Compared to all of the other solo uw builds, this is definitely not the fastest, but it really is the Most Fun, for me at least, I've always been a fan of Rit's, but not a fan of 330, so i always 600 rit'd uw, that was fun, but got old quick. And playing as an invincible shadow form tank, isn't very fun either. (this is just MY opinion)
Anyway, I decided to experiment a bit, and I replaced Feel no Pain w/ Ice Imp, It worked out very well, I got to clear chamber, wastes, vale, and I actually did Wrathful spirits, and from there Made my way to Pools, where I died, only because I was not paying attention and ranting in guild chat, and I got caught in a MS storm.
Well, on my second attempt, I decided to replace shadowsong, as we discussed it's main benefit is against the Aatxe, and I've found by rotating spirits for them to tank, they're not much of a problem without shadow. I put up my spirits in this order while I slowly retreat, SoS, back up a bit, than, BS, Pain, back up more, Vamp, Shadow(if you have it), then I repeat, usually after i cast bs,pain, and vamp for a second time, they're dead, as long as the spirits are cooperating and attacking the same target. Either way, I replaced shadow with Tryptophan signet, and Feel No Pain with Painful Bond, (this was a little energy intensive, so i popped some sweets, cupcake, apple, egg, candy corn) This worked VERY well. Although the dryders are still a little tough in large groups, Trypt sig Really made them a lot easier to deal with. But Spirits are still dying pretty quick, even with the extra level's from the sweets... so to fix this i was thinking about Spirit Boon Strike, but i dont know if 95 HP every 20 seconds will be enough for this to be as effective as I'd like it to be. But, I think the combo of Trypt sig and painful bond is very effective, other than being very high on NRG, it works great. On my second attempt a got a lot farther, cleared almost everything, but when i got to plains, i decided that 4 hours of sleep before work was already too little, so i called it quits. Well I got 7 ectos, a black dye, and a q10 str eternal shield, and about 6k in gold, so I definitely covered my sweets and uw scroll, so I was happy, the ectos are a bonus, I was just doing this for fun, I think I may experiment a bit more tonight.
I'd like to see what would happen if you went in with two spammers, with the same builds, I think you may be far enough away from each other during 4hm that you could maintain two sets of spirits. If you maintain your spirits in the same spots you hold aggro during UWSC, it should be fine, as you're not even on radar as the other perma. So you will definitely be able to maintain two sets of the same spirits. If you could, you would be able to successfully split and complete all of the quests, ice king quest shouldn't be a big deal, even solo, as long as you put your spirits to catch the aggro, then take quest, and hurry back to put up SLA and AoF.
But uh yea, looking forward to playing around a bit more with this, as I stated many times already, it was a lot of fun.
I would also like to see what you have in mind for a balanced team. And I have a couple of ideas about some type of a support player to two man with.
I know that if another spammer came, maybe packing Wanderlust, Earthbind, Dissonance, Anguish, and Shadow(if you replace it). It would be very effective at clearing uw, although you would not be able to do 4hm. But my ideas for a support player is much different than another spammer, I want to experiment and think about it a bit more. I'd like to speed it up a bit, just to keep my interest, so I want to think of a very fun and effective way of supporting the spammer.

Painful Bond is MUCH better than Feel No Pain. That's barely +1...3 regeneration.

Myself and a friend made rits due to the epic update. I think this will be a wonderful way to put them to use, especially considering what has been mentioned about having two of them split up and solo anything. Now, to get Sunspear up and unlock Vampirism.

Now I understand that it's more than likely my lack of any sort of skill that's making me fail at using a spirit spamming bar.... but I cant seem to take down the aatxe in groups any larger than 2... and it always seems the case that there is a group or more of 3. I was wondering if anyone who can use this build (well) would mind showing me the best way to tackle them sometime?
And I think that if someone can be assed, a slightly more comprehensive guide should be made as this is gaining popularity and more people are inquisitive as to how it works. but hey maybe it's just me who cant use it.
anyway, any help I can get would be appreciated
i'll be on my ranger for the time being, so the ign is: Aspect of Serenity

Ignore that last post.... I've worked out how to pull sensibly now and the aatxe aren't proving any trouble.
I used this build on an UWSC yesterday, it works decently as vale support providing you bring Painful Bond (reasonable Dps) and giving sins a reason to take your ranger along. leeching ectos and stuff

What if you were to use a build like:
11 Channeling (use headgear+superior rune) = 15
10 Communing
10 Spawning
Painful Bond
Armor of Unfeeling
*PVE Skill slot: *Black Powder Mine, Necrosis (Maxed out), Pain Inverter, Technobabble
Bloodsong
Vampirism
Pain
Signet of Spirits
Summon Spirits
The premise for Black Powder mine is to blind all enemies who come into melee range of the spirits. It would also provide a condition of bleeding for creatures who are affected.
Necrosis alternative would give you a spammable 90dmg armor ignoring spike. Tested in GToB, I've done upwards of 4500dmg in 30 seconds with the same build.
Pain Inverter would be great for a single target spike. This would be useful on coldfires dropping maelstrom on spirits.
Technobabble would be great for constant spirit interruption + minor aoe dmg.
Base spirit spike: high level damage from PB+Spirit attacks, 50% Less Dmg+Immune to Crit Attacks, Life Stealing, Minor Healing to Player, and Spirit movement.
Thoughts?
