Well, I know that of the 4 in my guild, 3 have only one account. Of the 6 people in my allied guild, 1 has 3 accounts, 2 have two accounts, and 3 have one account. None of them participate in these forums, so can't vote in poll.

Out of the 3 i have i only bought 1 myself...the rest are accounts of retired people. Dont ever use them unless i want to brag about having an r12 acct.

I find it interesting that at the time of this post, the # of accounts represented by the 10+ group is greater than those in the "one is all you need" group.
The reason for multiples is obvious: Anet/NCSoft rewards it. In the absence of a monthly fee, though, who's to blame them for encouraging sales of their product?

Two accounts. Got the second as a storage acct before char slots. I keep a character in Pre-searing on 2nd account to just putz around and relax.

I currently own 15 accounts. Why, you might ask? For the most logical reason and maybe the most arrogant choice on my part, I want to help contribute to the upkeep of Anet's server by purchasing more accounts. To be honest, I only use 2 of the 15 accounts I bought.

I have two accounts, both have all games/campaigns and other extras. First one I gave to my son to use after repeatedly farming to be able to afford elite armour for my ranger only for him to spend it on his warrior ... grrr did that to me three times! Second account is just for me ... although tending to use it for storage, noticed the son raided it last week ... hmm ... his warrior suddenly has a set of Vabbian ...

Two accounts that I bought myself, these date back to before you could add character slots so they were required to have numerous different professions.
Since you could add character slots I only use one as my main account and only have one character on my 2nd account that does anything useful.
Then there are several accounts that belonged to friends that either didn't get into the game or have stopped playing for whatever reasons. Puts me between 6 and 9.

I could have bought 3 character slots or 3 storage slots for that or bought the trilogy which has 8 character slots and 4 storage slots plus the free birthday one. Second account also helps bring loot over from pre so my permapre can stay right where she is.

3rd is just prophicies and factions with the base 6 slots and has been the best for mini pets of my 3 accounts. got 2 mini lich's the last round of bday presents. also its holding a luxon guild for when i need to work on my luxon title seeing my main and 2nd are kurzick aligned.

I only have the 1 account, never really needed more - and by time i considered getting another account due to wanting to play even more characters, ANet introduced the in-game store and the ability to buy slots.. so never had any need to buy more accounts. It has all campaigns & the expansion.. and 20 slots all full.

I have one account. Ten slots mind, (and all campaigns but no BMP). I'd probably have more so I can start another monk, but I ran out of money by having a baby. Another account would also be good in a sense - it'd avoid the temptation I have when starting new characters to cheat and outfit them with the gains of other characters...
