Which Profession Was Your First Character?

I did a poll on this back in Dec '06 with surprising (at that time) results. Let's see if trends have changed.

Dec '06 Results (1107 responders): Warrior, Ranger, Ele, Necro, Mesmer, Monk, Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish, Paragon
Surprise was the low result for Monks and the high one for Mesmers.

Now it seems you can't do a poll with the list of professions, so we will have to do this the hard way.

So this time around it is: Ranger, Ele, Warrior, Necro, Mesmer, Monk, Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish and Paragon.
Basically, it seems warriors came out less popular, but not a lot of change overall.

My first profession that I ever played was Assassin.

Mesmer was mine. I thought fast casting would be killa...well that was then and now I do not even have a mesmer...

My first was an ele, that became my main. I play all the professions now, however.

Elementalist. Just an Elementalist, no matter what else I tried, I always ended up going back to that.

Ranger, then Mesmer. Funny how I only play monk now.

Elementalist. Not long after, I created a warrior who's still my main. The only elementalist I have is still in pre-searing.

I still have my ele and she shares the main spot light with a monk created about 2 weeks after she was.

A ranger. Peculiarly, my guild leader, ex and his uni friends all chose ranger as their first profession.

I flare spammed a lot, if I recall.

... Needless to say, I ditched her and made a ritualist less than a week later.

Bought the game because of rangers.
Made one, brought him to the catacombs, chose necro secondary, raised my first stiffy and never looked back.
Deleted the ranger - made a necro.

My necros are rarely played these days.

Warrior in Prophecies
Then Monk in Prophecies and Factions
Played waaaay too much and sold my account

Returned 18 months later
Mesmer in Nightfall and EotN
Then Monk in Nightfall, Eotn, Prophecies and Factions

Then I bought a second account to do 6-hero team
Did an Ele in Nightfall, Eotn, Prophecies and Factions
Ele is support for main character (Monk on first account)

Playing way too much again...

What were the results of the original?

My first character ever was a Necromancer/Ranger who made it all the way to Yak's Bend before I deleted. Didn't know how to play Necro back then (using all Blood degen, and pet?!?)

Next was a Mesmer/Elementalist, who I Ascended with but never "completed" the Prophecy storyline. "Fast Cast Nuker LFG"

Finally, a Warrior was my first character to finish Prophecies, and then went on to Cantha and Elona. She's still my main: Amara Dawnbreaker. Started as Warrior/Monk, changed to Warrior/Ranger as quick as I Ascended. Now I play around with all secondaries.

My first character was a Ranger, who languished at level five for ages. And yes, I was the typical Firestorming noob Ranger

I finally finished leveling her up pretty recently, and gave her a complete makeover.

Mesmer. Had to delete once I got my own account, then made another mesmer as my "second first" if you will. Why I deleted it AGAIN and made a ranger, I have no idea. Mesmer #3 was crated shortly thereafter XD

Ranger Deleted him 2 weeks later made a necro never looked back

Ranger, because I wanted a pet she still gets most of my playing time.

started with a necro, then moved onto a ranger. then with factions moved onto a warrior and thats been my main char ever since.

My main was and still is a Ritualist. I've played through all the campaigns on it and even though I'm focusing more on my other characters, I still play it the most and do anything of consequence on it.
