paw·ned²: All-In-One Team Build & Template Editor
Sorrowless
Looks great, I've only been using it for a few minutes but I'll have to agree the chat box is on the smaller side. Just make that a little bigger and it'll be perfect!

Is it possible to allow attributes to be increased all the way up to 21? Builds that use consumables, or skills like glyph of elemental power would find this useful.
numma_cway
There is no chance to add this feature in team build mode at this, because there is not enough memory reserved for this.
Anyway, it is planned to put an extra “Consumable” attribute bonus box just under the secondary attributes when editing single Skill Template, so you can also try buffs on secondary attributes as well.

That would be fantastic. I have 1 other complaint
Sometimes upon minimising and then restoring the program, the hover boxes containing skill information appear behind the main form. Closing the program entirely and reopening seems to be the only way to fix this.
Great program I use it a lot!

I don't think I have that bug (most likely because usually I don't minimize applications), but I will see if I can fix it.

This program is designed for screens of at least 900 pixels in height. It does also work with 768 pixels height, but the chat box is quite small then to still have eight builds displayed on the screen. I think it's better so see at least eight players at a glance than some more chat lines and needing to scroll the builds.

Also, it should somehow be possible to export team builds as gwBBCode. Some people don't want to download this program.
numma_cway
I'm not going to change the layout of the program for 10% of the people playing games (source: Steam). After you have learned how to use the application, you may want to hide the status bar anyway.
There is some feature to export GWBBcode, found in the Edit menu. It can be customized in the settings dialog. Additionally, there is a feature to create images of the build, and either save it on disk, copy it to the clipboard or automatically upload it to ImageShack.us.

This is excelent work!
I just have 1 doubt:
how can we assignt attributes to a skill bar? Is it possible to do it?
Tkx for sharing with the comunity.

When editing team builds, use your mouse wheel to change the attribute rank of the skill just under your mouse pointer.
While doing this, you may wish to hold Shift for runes, Ctrl for primary attribute, Shift+Ctrl for primary attribute runes or Alt for searching through the hovered skill's breakpoints.
When editing Skill Templates, changing attributes should be obvious.

so how can you join to any channel / chat ? Is there any list of public channels?
numma_cway
There are no public channels, because the application is designed for the use with your (existing) friends and guild members.
If you try to join a channel which does not exist, the channel is created for you on the server. It will stay there password-protected and with the last used build in it for 7 days after the last user left the channel.
After creating a channel, give the name and the password (if any) to your friends. If using the paw·ned² server, you can also create a code you can send via the in-game chat by selecting the Chat Code feature from the Edit > Copy menu. When copying that code to the clipboard and pressing Ctrl+V, your friends automatically join the channel after clicking the Connect button which does appear then.
Your friends need the application to join you.
There is a similar option for the use of the Team Builder server. Other than in Germany, Team Builder has the majority market share in the U.S. When using that feature, you cannot use attribute point distribution, writing comments and adding equipment to characters.
Of course, you do not need to be on a server when working on a build alone. Simply use the File > New menu.
When in a channel, builds can be loaded to it by using the buttons appearing at the bottom right corner of the window right after joining.

Thank you so very, very much for taking the time to support full usage with Wine. I loved this program on Windows and when I put it on my Linux laptop, mind=blown.
If you play Guild Wars and you're not using pawned^2, you're bad and you should be. Holy poo.

This is a fantastic program I absolutely love it. Thanks very much for creating it and releasing it to us.
I'm curious if there is anywhere we can download just the updated CSV skills files to manually update our programs rather than connecting to through the auto-updater?

Look in the included .ini files. There is a link in it saying where to download the updated CSV file. It's named DownloadSafeCSV.
The word Safe comes from the fact that I first wanted to allow people to start the script which generates the databases. But I didn't know how to do that, so I dropped the feature.

Hello, just downloaded this and love it. Is there a walkthrough or tutorial showing features and how to use them?
kdb424
This is absolutely brilliant. I am a Linux user, and I must applaud the brilliance of the implementation of the wine compatibility, on top of the amazing product. 10/10 Thank everyone for the work put into the original, the translation, and the post.

Seems the original site (and hence updates) are down. Anywhere I can grab skill update infos?
tjubutsi
any updates to the english version (or german for that matter) at all? i kinda want new skill descriptions :/
numma_cway
OK, just re-download the program, reinstall it if you have problems with the updates. This should fix it.
I did not update the skill descriptions to the change of the three skills. There was a problem with the import scripts. I think there will be an update soon, so I was no planning to update them right now. If there is none tomorrow, I might update them myself if the scripts do not work.

Oh, now I understand why you were asking. GWCom moved to a different host which caused the server to think the skill files were updated, although they weren't.
Anyway:
The skill updates are now added to the updater. Have fun.
As this was done manually, please report any errors here. Thanks in advance.
If you have any problems with the updater show a download error, please redownload and reinstall.

I've noticed skills show the reduced casting time with fast cast. is it possible that they show the reduced recharge time too? (maybe with a pvp/pve button)
Oh and is there a way to change the text to German? (I'm German too )

- It can import single-character builds from Team Builder.
- There is a feature called you·pawned (yes, it's a pun referring to some ... "video" website) which can be used to share builds with friends or let them be discussed by others. The latter requires an accounts on GWCom.
- We also added some anomalies we found when testing items with the team of German GuildWiki to the item descriptions in the program. We found out that all condition runes reduce bleeding by 20% (non-stacking) and all condition inscriptions and staff condition bonusses reduce Bleeding by one second (stacking).
- Numerous bug fixes.
The English version is not yet updated since they are two different development branches which I need to join first. I really want to add a feature to generate Equipment Templates from skills and attributes in team build mode. This feature is not yet finished but I want to add this before I release an update to the English version. I think about adding the you·pawned feature with GW-Shack connectivity since the German site connected with you·pawned is not yet offering their service in English. It seems like I have to talk to Liu Pi anyway since I use GWShack's scripts for generating updates but the last time the script run was on the 25th of June, so I had to update the skill databases myself.

Sorry if this question has been answered before, (I've used search...) but the installer requires me to enter a valid template folder. The laptop on which I want to install pawned does not have a Guild Wars client. Is there any way to still continue to install?
numma_cway
The application does not really care if you have Guild Wars installed or not. Just enter any folder where your templates are stored. Please note that the application requires your templates to be in subfolders called “skills” and “equipment” or the browser will not work. If you enter an empty folder, it will create the subfolders for you. Especially on Vista and 7, don't forget to make sure this folder is writable (use a folder on your Desktop or in My Documents if you're not sure).

So there is no way to allow it to go up to 20 Attribute points?
What about showing attribute bonuses for secondary professions like you can Shift & Scroll for primary attributes? Eg. A/E with 12 Earth Magic but under the effects of a Grail it would be 13.

numma_cway
There is no way. We are planning to bring that in Template mode, but there won't be any feature like that for Team Builds as it would cause version incompatibility for such a little improvement.

Hey,
Are you sure this is still updated? Because whenever I try to do so using the top bar it stays the same.

First versions of the new Dervish update's skill descriptions are now available for download, but because they added a new skill type, you will need to update the application first.
I don't know if the GWW guys have finished their work on the skills yet, but I will run my script some more times within the next hours.
The script which created the updates is a completely new version since GWShack doesn't seem to be anymore, so there might be bugs. Report them here.

Any chance there will be a version for a windows phone?
Archangel.Arcanis
Just as a note. If you update the program you have to close it and restart it before the skills update will work. I don't recall if the program update said this or not.
numma_cway
There is no Windows Phone 7 version in development right now (might change if I decide to buy such a phone). A version for Windows Mobile 5.0 to 6.5 exists, but to date it's in German only and will not run on Phone 7. It also merely a beta version and its features are limited to the features Team Builder has in offline mode. But at least you can edit and create team builds with it.
Some hours after the release, I changed my update server to tell the updater to restart the application. I there are no big flaws in the updater, it should restart itself now.
When I imagine the American-style forum post, this would be it.

I'm not sure if i am doing this correctly but when i go to help -> online update, it seems to download the update then a red icon appears where the check boxes used to be. After that i notice that the update did not take effect, even after i close and restart the program.
I'm new this program so can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

As I said some times before, you need to update the application first (second item in the update menu) and then update the skills.
This is because they introduced flash enchantments. Loading a skill database with them without updating the application first would make the application crash, that's why it doesn't update the skills and shows a red icon instead.
