Hopefully they will release it on the GW2 site. Not much point to a site if its got nothing on it right?

They're better off releasing it on a site that everyone knows about rather than a site that went up yesterday, what's matter anyway, its going to be one the GW2 site soon after anyway.

Of course, the first place to look will be Youtube. Shaky cams and vid phones will be the first taste we might see.
Though I will wait for the clearer picture and better quality to be available.

Yes, but my point is I don't think YouTube is the first choice to release their trailer. I'm sure it will follow, or maybe they'll have a simultaneous release. Many people go to YouTube, after all.

YouTube HD still re-encodes some video if you don't meet their exact specifications, and can reduce quality if bitrate, resolution, or fps is lowered or changed. Although irrelevant in this case, I've seen some awful de-interlacing as well.

I'm not saying release it only to the GW2 site. I'm saying at least put it on the GW2 site. I'm quite sure many sites would get it after its first release anyway. And even if they did only release it to the GW2 site its not like it would sink into the unknown. Nearly all gaming news sites are aware the GW2 site exists and if a trailer went up on it you can be sure as hell they will report it straight away.

Slow down. You're scaring me ArenaNet. I don't play the game much these past few months. But I do check guru for the good scoops . And I must say, over the past few weeks the amount of news thats been Guild Wars 2 related at all, or even Guild Wars related in general has had a pretty big jump. And it's not even the "every 4 months we add content" thing. I'm amazed.. and scared... Lol.

Except we haven't actually gotten news yet - only the promise of news, which shouldn't exactly overwhelm you yet.

Opening press conference is at 8:30, so we could see it in as little as 8 hours.

Day 1: Possible Guild Wars 2 Trailer Tomorrow

Trailers are good, but I hope its a EOTN type presentation consisting of gameplay rather than CG.

Remember the prophecies CG trailer, that doesnt look anything like Guild Wars

Yeah we've not really got news yet. All we've had so far is finds (people finding Voice Actors who have worked on it), a few pieces of concept art, a webiste with a teaser image and a video with Martin Kerstein the European CR smiling at a camera while the (brief) first part of a GW2 trailer is heard in the background. While it may seem more than what we've had the true news isnt here yet.

The voiceover makes it sound very much like a CG trailer. Maybe we'll get a bit of both.

At first I thought I missed something, and there was some huge update today. Then I thought the OP was just being sarcastic. Now I realize the OP is just comparing the 2 years of dead silence to the new "we're ready to talk about it" mentality.

Personally I'm ready for the first real shred of info, then many, many more shreds to follow in very quick succession. Stuff that would make you scared, apparently.

Between a lack of sleep and the beer being better in Germany than the USA... I hope Martin & company crawl/stagger out of their beds and get to the conference on time!

Whatever time the trailer is released, I hope it's not like every season finale of Lost that makes me think, "Wow! Wait...WTF? Now I have to wait 'til next year for more?!?"...
