Things you wish you knew before you started Guild Wars...

Amazing how much more you can enjoy the game after you've learned some, so let's have at it.
What did you wish you knew before you started playing?

Here's one to start off with:

You can use runes of vitae AND survivor runes on the same piece of armor. Also +50 HP runes don't stack, and you'll waste alot of money buying a bunch of them to find out the hard way.

That I could add henchmen to my party XD

Changing secondary proffesion later in the game, i know alot of people restarted characters for a particular build.

That i knew what the henchmen looked like

i asked the ranger henchman where he got his armor and said hello to him

I wish i knew that HA existed, and that you could identify items >.>

I wish I knew about the ecto glitch thingy so I would be super rich! (I had the game for a week at that time)

I wish I'd knew black dyes would go for higher prices in the post-searing, instead of the 1g in the pre. >.>

Other than that, that collector armor existed. Honestly, I think that's it. :P

Honestly, I can't say that there was something that I wished I knew. I took the time to read through the entire wiki before starting my trial, got hooked, bought all three campaigns the next day... reading goes a long way...

Dye values. LOL.

put your minor/major attribute rune on your head piece and not on another piece of armor. ie +1 curse rune on +1 curse head = good ness. makes switching builds for pve character much easier

That we would get birthday presents, thus making people who made mules in the beginning richer than me who only played on one character...

How much of my life this game would suck up. And how much I would enjoy that addiction.

so then you would be perma banned and your super riches would be wasted.

on topic i'd say that i wish i knew titles would have been implemented so i could have saved all those party and sweets instead of wasting them

I'm assuming he meant the material trader reset where you could buy ectos for 100g.

More on topic, there isn't anything that I wish I knew when I started. It was fun learning about the game with everyone else.

I wish i had known that anet was going to release EoTN with a HoM so asian minis would be worth a lot more if i waited a year to sell them.

i also wish i knew that my main character would become nothing but a speed clear machine and a dust colector outside of imba SC's
