I try to play but the only thing for me to do is grind titles which is soooo boring since I have like nobody to do it with

Anyhow, no idea why Guild Wars has kept my attention for so long, the game started with such promise and I was hyped about it early on (E34E) but I've really become disillusioned by some changes to the game over the years, ArenaNet's handling of certain issues and the player base has gone from 'mostly awesome' (preview events / beta weekends) to what we have today...
I guess I'm just grinding titles in the hope that GW2 will bring back some of that oldschool GW1 love, and passing the time playing with the very few people you bump into in the game worth interacting with.
TL/DR answer: I have no RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing clue.

I dont play any more, i come from time to time to talk with guildies and friends, the game became to much of a grind, without new content (z quests are not content in my opinion).
I play Oblivion and AoC, waiting to GW 2 tho

I'm not as hardcore as some people and don't play 3 to 4 (or more) hours a day every day. My Rit just finished Factions->Proph->NF with my alliance's role playing group and we moved on to GWEN.
Plus I don't have a character for every profession and there are some titles that I'm interested in (mapping, skill capping, treasure hunter.)
Finally I want to build out my HoM because I eventually want to write some lore connecting my GW1 characters with GW2 and I think the HoM will be a big part of it.

this question doesn't really apply to me since i've only played for 1 year, but i've beaten all the campaigns e.t.c (i just took ages to transition from NM to HM and elite areas) i just go crazy about ritualist armor %D

Personally, I still play (albit not incredibly actively because of real life business atm) for a number of reasons, mainly:
-titles- my main still has a lot of titles to max, though he has done just about everything.
-pvp- I used to HB a lot but now I primarily HA and guest GvG with my friend's guild, if they need me.
-my guild- I enjoy playing with my PvX guild, we do weekly things based upon the current zquest, dungeons, HM, missions, ect.
-heavy pack- I'm slowly building up the zcoins to purchase one, and after that I'll save for more.
-items- still have some armors with my mind set on them, for other characters and alt armor sets for pvp, also wep sets (would be nice to have good 40/40 sets and defense sets on all my pve chars for pvp.) and filling the rest of the HoM.
I still quite enjoy GW.

was titles for the HoM, now it's just a can't let go even though the game is pointles relationship going on i suppose?
Spookii
Titles. Friends. I use GW as a stress killer now mostly. Plus I use it as a gamer chick's Barbie, lol. I love getting new armor and making over my characters from time to time.
I don't play it much while I'm at school but when I come home for weekends and holidays I do.
It's getting boring, tbh.

well I WAS playing RA here and there at least once every day or two for about an hour and catching up with friends.. Then Aion came out.. And.. now.. I ... don't..
pamelf
I'm playing Aion atm. I log on to GW once a day to do whatever that day's Z-Mission is.
Red Intensity
I play this because I don't have Xbox Live. If I did, I'd play this game far less often.
MuC
Because i wanna get shitty unded Zhed. Also GvGing with friends from time to time.
Deimos Zargarda
Well after I bought Aion yesterday I got reminded that no other mmorpg is better than GW, so yeah, I threw away Aion and went back to GW, after 4 years it still hasnt got boring.
Garreth MacLeod
I've still got so much I'd like to do and that's why I'm still playing. Working on titles on my main character. Would like to work on guardian titles on my others but keep getting diverted working on my main.

About 2 months ago, I would have told you that I was still playing because it's still fun.....however, the last few updates/fck-ups have kind of just taken it out of me.
If I get on now (which is rare), it's only to try and finish titles for my HoM/GW2. I'd love to see GW1 get some love again, but it just feels like they're going for the redheaded step-child approach.

I still enjoy the game, I'd like to get some max titles and I want all my characters to go out of fashion looking good.
Cale Roughstar
Friends in game, and GvG + the occasional HA.
Malchior Devenholm
Came back to see what PvP had turned into and it was mostly a joke
Now just waiting for Sealed Deck *the system players have been waiting nearly 3 years for*

Mylina
Titles. Sealed Deck. And I'm to cheap to pay $15 a month for WoW lol.
kupp
Titles and low-end pvp. When I get some money on my account I'm gonna pay for the 1st month of Aion and give it a shot.
worstnameevar
Axeman002
because my new PC fund went towards a wedding so Aion is posponed for another 6 months.
so gonna get gwamm on my sin 24 titles atm and have just started a new monk for gwamm too and fill out there HoM...not much else to do really (PvP rots your brain)

M @ T
GvG, HA, friends and currently spending money on titles..
Kashrlyyk
I want to get the Master of the North title to its maximum.
jammerpa
Aion is a blast... holding my interest til gw2 releases
Xenophon Ualtar
I have recently started to play again after about 2 years away. I have been playing Lord of the Rings: Online but am looking for a break from that. GW is still a great game that has many features that I wish were in LOTRO.
moriz
despite all the problems, this game is still very fun. i really enjoy the execution aspects of it, and how fluid the combat engine is in the right hands.
Greedy Gus
I still play GW from time to time because there's an atomic level of fun, skillful competition that is the warrior vs. monk subgame, played within a larger context (4v4 or 8v8) to avoid the problems of dueling, and this exists even in RA at some % of matches.
I haven't found any good substitute for this elsewhere, and I can find it even after my friendslist is deserted and past guilds all died as long as there are decent monks playing RA and skill balance isn't horrible.
