However, whoever has the quests compeleted in UW can go back and have a second crack at Dhuum, without having to waste another 1-2 hours of your time doing all uw quests again.

The only problem is if you go back to ToA and go back again to fight him, people can tweak there skillbars specifically to fight Dhuum, food for thought though.

This sounds like a nice idea, but i see a small problem

So many time's when forming groups for duncan everyone said they did the quests and what happens when we get there? Yep the door closed because someone's not done all the quests.

Everyone swears they done the quests, people accuse and abuse people they think it is, while others just quit. Its pathetic when i had to upload a screenshot to imageshack after getting a hail of abuse just to prove i'd done the quests one time they all thought it was me.

every pug i tried ended in failure
wiping at dhuum was the least i needed but i got it
felt capable of 101 things then seeing i got lag and some nub refused to use res scrolls
so they should make ressing damn possible there
and reduce the skeles too cuz wastes is a real ballbreaker

I don't see any ursan groups getting together in ToA. If you'd had success with it, report back so that others might try it.

You'll still need healers so consider bringing 1-2 in the group.

5 carebears; 2 healers and 1 imbagon no cons; nm=piece of cake. Bring some armor of sancitity for inbetween bears and paininverter for Dhuum. Have fun; good luck. The problem with pugs is not that the players suck perse. The problem is that once you reach 4h or wastes 3/4 of the playerbase go: "so...what now?". I.E. no xp in the uw!

I wonder what proportion of the GW playerbase will ev er fight Dhuum, especially after they fail buffed the quests to make it harder for SF abuse. I just can't see most people ever clearing UW again.

It's less about the volume of people who go in and more about the type of people this sort of content attracts. Something from the bowels of the playerbase projectile vomits up the absolute worst people GW has to offer...these are your meme quoting like parrots, penis on the radar, beligerant jackasses that have always made heroes so appealing. It's all about, how can this be exploited to make the maximum profit off the end chest drops at the expense of decorum and occasionally the party. I pity the people who have to learn UW from scratch or at least the back end and only have PuGs as an option.

Just got done with HM Dhuum with guildies. Nobody got anything good from the chest but it was still a lot of fun to kill him. Got it done 7/8 so it should be doable in multiple ways.

GOOD JOB ANET. you finally got it right. now lets see more of those.
So because you failed with a SF team SF should not be nerfed.

Dhuum, at last we have some fun again.

Ok, so we wanted to have some fun with the alliance. And fun we often get when we are playing random builds. So we wanted to play Dhuum random and sure we tried it at Normal mode. But still. We had some 100b Warrios and some monks, a Rit spammer, Ele en a Ne/R who used MoP and barrage with a
anti block skill, more effective on the plains couse of the hex removals and kills the burrowers easaly. We had some reall fun . not in a hury and kill almost every foe just for fun. We ended up killing Dhuum in about 2 1/2 hours.
So. We had more than 2 hours fun in UW, playing random and not in a hurry.

If Anet implent more of these god bosses I know there will be a lot more fun and gameplay to come in GW. Keep up the good work.

Dhuum seems to have a skill that boots a party out of the game.

I hope Anet puts a full stop to any new content of this kind if they can't even make it work.

??????????? So what skill would that be. if it is the skill that transport you to a other place in the map.. So what. talk to a nearby spirit that transfer you back. And as bonus you will get skill that gives you a big advantage.

Or is it just lag what you are talking about

No... Basicly what has been happening is that some people are beating Dhuum and then their Underworld instance gets killed. Leaving the whole party kicked with nowhere to reconnect to

Logged in after ten days absence (I'm slowly detaching from GW), to see what this Dhuum was.

Tried Dhuum with guild/alliance teams: 3 times and failed.
Tried with pugs: about a dozen times and failed.

Tried a lot of different builds, different team setups... had nightmares while doing quests like the 4 horseman and Servants of Grenth (about this last one: I remember this wasn't that hard, now I see Dryders with starburst and a lot of skeletons... gg).

Disconnecting people, people who screw up and overaggro, unforgiving area...
In the end, after trying without result for two entire wasted afternoons I gave up.

Too much time wasted and too much frustration. I go back playing on my 360.

Honestly...

Went after Dhuum last night. Used what I'd call a pretty balanced group. This was the first time I've ever done UW, for the record.

It was easy. UW itself wasn't hugely difficult. There were a few tight situations but we pulled out of them pretty well. Dhuum himself was easy. We actually had to stop fighting him for a while because we had been damaging him much quicker than the Reapers were using Rest. His champions and minions were absolutely nothing to worry about.

Personally, I found it a ton of fun, and we plan on making more goes of it

I spent the last three days going after Dhuum with pugs. And every team failed before even reaching Dhuum.
Only once a team saw Dhuum, but they had wanted to do this in hm and Dhuum wiped us.

So yesterday evening I played with a team which used ts and thought about a build to play before starting. And to be honest, with this organized team Dhuum was quite easy.

I must say i really like Dhuum because now I've seen that it is do-able und a lot of fun if you plan a bit before starting

Failed twice with PUGs, went in with the Alliance (hi Scary!) and cleared UW and Dhuum without too many problems. Granted, cons were used, and it was NM, but I think what helped us the most was that most members already had cleared the UW at least once before Dhuum came, and knew what to expect.

I wouldnt mind if Ursan was added to the new UW Meta. Im r10 Norn... but Id find a much better role than to play a low damage Ursan Skill spammer. The last "Nerf" to Ursan was to change the damage dealt from Touch to Physical... and that sounds just perfect for MoP and Barbs

On the whole, I quite like Dhuum.

1. The coolness factor is quite high. He looks spiffy. He melts into the floor and then pops up next to you. He's got epic lore going on . Everyone has always wanted to see what's behind that door. The rest-bar mechanic is interesting. The come-back-as-a-spirit mechanic is downright novel. It's clear that a-net put in a lot of work to make a cool boss and they succeeded.

2. The difficulty is about right. As I've said before, given the way GW works, it's simply not possible to make a difficult boss without making it obnoxiously cheap and frustrating like Mallyx. And everyone just looooves him... A-net learned from their mistakes with Mallyx and made a boss that puts up a bit of a fight, then dies.

If I had any complaints, they would be:

1. I resent having to use cons to keep people alive. There really should be some way to remove DP inherent to the quest to offset Dhuum's touch.

2. It's too long. It takes maybe 3-5 minutes to empty out his lifebar (even less in NM) and then you're just picking off minions for another year and a half while the rest bar charges. Once the outcome of the battle is that clear, it's needlessly tedious to have to finish it out at such length. I'd suggest that the rest bar fill instantly (or at least very quickly) once his hp hits zero.
