Tommy's commissions are open again!
Thought it was time to get a bit more professional. Edited my main post with renewed prices and conditions. And remember, I study law! As soon as I'm finished with Invertations freebie (last freebie for a while, sorry no monk) I start doing paid commissions again. Sadly enough I doubt there will be any interest, since almost everyone already had a drawing from me. I can guarantee more quality now though

So please check out my mainpost, and if you are interested, fill in the exampleman!

Hello I would like to get a painting of my mesmer.
Here I go:

Character Name: John the Mindreader

Style: Portrait, buste up: 100k.

Reference pictures: I have no idea how to post pictures here, so maybe we can meet up ingame so you can take them. Iwill post my in-game-name below.

Eye Colour:brown

Characteristics: no idea about this :\ .

Small bio: He grew up in Istan, At the age of 16 he joined the sunspears as a warrior, but after a few days he decided he wanted to be a mesmer instead.
In a few days he had mastered the attributes of a mesmer.
At the age of 18 he left the sunspears to explore the world, after a few years of exploring the world, he joined the Ebon Vanguard.

Special request: none

Oh, Tommy, you think I'm done? Hardly, as long as I have the funds.
Including the Wintersday piece, this will make the fourth I've requested of you. It would hardly be suiting to just stop there, especially considering I've taken a liking to your newer chibi designs.

Ok here is the last WIP of Invertations Ranger. Not really happy with the face 'n hair yet, and her top needs to have some extra flare, add some leaves or something. Adding a background soon, and some last touchups (like actually giving her a hand ) Any suggestions are welcome <3 Specially for flaring that top up..

Ninjaedit: QQ photobucket messes the picture up. Ah well its only a wip anyway.

Very beautiful picture, very good shading. My only suggestion is next time make the hips smaller. Between their size and the angle, she looks over bottom heavy.

to be honest i think her top half needs more filling out :P the bottom looks great.. looks like a woman should imo
i think the thing that throws me off about the top is she seems a lil ... lopsided.
the right breast is good position but the left seems like its gonna slide off her body.
dont mind my quick editing, but rather than explain, im hoping you'll see what i mean...

enlarged the left breast just a tad, and moved it up just a lil
very subtle, but makes a good deal of difference for me. makes her a lil more porportionate. maybe bring just a little bit of her hair over her shoulder? might help add a little "something" to her top and face.
otherwise i like it a lot tommy. cant wait to see the rest of it

Man that looks really great Tommy! You're gettin better and better. Though I have to agree with frostkisses, I think the bottom half is very lovely but to make it more proportional the top half could be filled out. =)

Looks pretty good.
However, there is 1 thing that is bothering me.

The seasand she is sitting on, it cannot be piled up like that naturally.
It would just collapse at the part where she is sitting on since it's pretty loose sand, so she would fall into the sea.
The sea would also just break a pile of such sand.

assume it's a rock. her hips do look kind of broad, but i assume its the angle. anyway its not really that noticeable. maybe draw some colored seashells and barnacles to fill up the empty spaces. and a few more birds flying around. it looks nice, just needs to fill in more details and it will be great

Thnx for the advices. Now you ask me, indeed where did my starfish go :O Gogo search layers And yess its a rock. I was just too lazy/not in the mood to add more shadow and texture and stuff. Guess it looks more like a rock with the starfish on it.

Edit: Ok guess it is finished

After saving Tyria endless times, everone deserves a day off at the beach.

And this just had so be posted because this seastar looks so awesomely laidback.

Hey everyone, bad news

I will have to announce that all commissions will delayed for an unknown time. This because I have huge headaches, which I'm afraid are caused by my eyes. I have a very bad feeling I'll be needing glasses, but I'm not sure yet, so I really need to give my eyes some rest first. This vacation I have really nothing to do, and I've mostly been doing Guildwars, drawing and watching my series. This all involved my computer, which leads to the fact that I have some days at which I'm even 10 hours behind my computer! Because my eyes focus on the same distance all the time, they got stiff, which hopefully will disappear, but there is a chance it might stay, and in its worst case, I would need glasses. Therefor I want to give my eyes some rest, and I won't be on my computer alot anymore, the reason my commission will be pauzed.

Thanks for understanding, and hopefully see you all soon again, with better news. I do intend at being at the workshop (this sunday!) for sure though.

You have to remember to take breaks, and look away from the screen every so often so the distance at which your eyes focus on changes.

That bird is fantastic. And your humans are improving.

And all the artist mentions on gw2guru are well deserved.

Definite improvement in the brushes you're using. The lines are nice and crisp and the clothe details came out very nice. The hawk is also nicely done. Next, I think you should focus on the details of the skin and hair - they look a bit flat and undefined in comparison to the rest of the piece. Other than that, this is a definite step forward for you.
