daw, sorry to hear about your computer :/
I love the Shala painting to bits though, it's so good! I'm also really fond of that "experiment" piece you did for a guildie, the colours in that are lovely. Did you keep up that style for the Shala piece? because I think I prefer that to the greyscale+colour style

Thanks! both of you. As you've probably seen in my DA page, PC is fixed so yay for that.
Yeah I stopped using the grayscale technique since the experiment. Color blocking does work a lot better and give the painting more color dimension (for lack of better term lol)

Finished my two 1940s style commissions and after this I am going to take a quick break from commissioning lol.
So I kinda want to make an artwork that would make up for all my art block this year so far. The teaser is in my avatar.
I did make the mistake of having the canvas to be less than 1000x1000 pixels because it was meant to be a speed painting to help me fall asleep last Saturday night. But I got carried away lol. I might resize it to a bigger canvas...we'll see.
That's what I get for not planning >_<

That painting (from your avatar) is looking quite good! Obviously I can't quite critique it yet but I am excited to see how it comes togethor
Also, I discovered this comic today. I though you might be interested in it (what with you making your own comic). Its INCREDIBLY good, and might help to inspire some things for your own comic. It is very mysterious, suspensful, and requires a lot of thought. There is no 'ending' persay either; it is entirely up to interpretation. It's called Face All Red.
http://emcarroll.com/comics/faceallred/01.html
Heres my interpretation (READ AFTER! trust me, you don't want any spoilers )
So the brother in the bar is a shapeshifting beast who lives in the forest. The
beast in the forest AND the brother leaving the forest are both described with (Most strange things do); so it is inferred they are one in the same.
When the two brothers go into the forest, they pass a pit that smells like lilacs. This connects back to the lilac bush at the brother's home. Both are places where the brother will reside; one when he is alive and the other when he is dead.
So when the narrator hides in the tree, the 'beast' is killed. But, not really. In jealousy the narrator kills his brother so he can bring his claim to fame.
Fast forward three days. The brother emmerges from the forest - but how? Shapeshifter! The beast wasn't dead, and stole the appearence of the brother [First Page - This man has all these things (and my brother's face) (his handsome face)]. The beast wants to kill the narrator as well, as he knows the secret of the beast (the brother digging the grave = shapeshifter digging the grave).
We also know it isnt the real brother because of the coat. The coat is untattered, but when the narrator visits his brother in the lilac pit the coat is still torn - the shapeshifter is an imposter.
So hopefully you can make use of that for your own comics (perhaps not something nearly as lucrative as that). It has an excellent story, use of literary devices, and a great layout.

That sounds interesting! Thanks! *bookmarks and did not read your spoiler* I'll take anything to inspire me to do my comic these days. I want to get it done but I just don't have enough time and energy these days. I get overwhelmed by the thought of such a big task.
And wait no more, here's the final pic lol:

Oh my Raven your latest pictures are great.
There is such a big improvement from the 1st page to the last! Keep at it! Mina looks very seductive. I don't know why but she reminds me of a mix of Rogue from X-men and Ammara Siripong ,a thai actress.

Thank you. lol, now that you reminded me of the first page, I just noticed how outdated my first post is >_<. I updated it a little though, mostly on commission status and what I am currently working on.
Funny you mentioned Rogue of the X-Men because I picked Mina to have green eyes in honor of Rogue (my all time favorite comicbook character)
