Just wondering if the new guild halls will be available to players who only have chap 1. It would be kinda weird if I got one of the new guild halls and half my guild cant get into it because they havent bought Chap 2. Does anyone know if this has been covered somewhere else and I just havent seen it yet?
Other than that...I cant wait to check out the new places and characters and generally look forward to playing this new part of the game. A-net hasnt let us down yet so this new Chap should be interesting.

There is an interview with Gaile Gray over at photics.com

Might want to add that to the front page list, looks like PvE will get some kind of.... well, "something" to be recognised by? Could be anything, PvE /rank style emotes, special titles, furry dice hehe anyway PvE players will get something in that respect.

Hehe, rangers are the one class (weeelll, maybe mesmers too) where the females look tougher than the males. To be honest I would have just been happier with less blatant cliches in the character faces/builds. You know, chubby Conan rip-offs for the warriors, david beckham for the rangers

Release Date: March 31st 2006
While it's not written in stone yet and there is always the possibility of it getting pushed back, Chances are good this is the date we should be looking for. I'm a bit surprised though because I was expecting somewhere around May. Also take note that page was put up on Jan 8Th.

They already told us a few times before to not believe any of those release dates unless they specifically come from ANet themselves. I do believe someone mentioned the March 31st in the forum discussion you linked, and the same thing was told to him.
I'd wait for something official, but thanks for posting the Gamespot interview, I hadn't seen that yet.

I've heard a story about an Electronics Boutique store trying to tell Gaile what the release date for Chapter 1 was sometime in mid-2004. Surprisingly enough, that wasn't accurate either...

this has been already shot down officially as normal advertising to get preorders and the date will change when the real date is on the OFFICIAL site,
rumor and people keep spreading it.
from the people who should know

I know it's incredibly boring, but I can only repeat what Gaile has said when asked about rumours in the past: Until we confirm something, don't set your heart on it being true. If it's a rumour, chances are it's going to be wrong. That's the way these things go, a lot of the time. Someone will talk about something they'd *like* to have, and overtime as more people talk about it it gets twisted into "I heard they are going to do this..." __________________ Alex 'GhostRaptor' Weekes Guild Wars Community Relations NCsoft Europe |

"Story missions match groups with and against each other (whole 8 player groups included)"
Does anyone care to speculate about this? As a PVE only player, this disappoints me. It sounds like some of the normal game missions will be PVP (like that annoying arena at the end of Pre-Sear). I don't want to have to deal with any other people than those I play with locally in my guild. Especially not in PVP contexts. We play casually, damn it.

It's fairly safe to say these PvP sections will be probably be optional There is a large enough player base that only likes to PvE so I doubt Anet will do something to alienate them.
I like the idea of "groups of 8 WITH each other" maybe this means some big battles versus like some boss or army, or something? 16 people PvE

"16 people PvE" Nah. If I wanted crap like that, I'd play WoW with raids of 40+. I pretty much only play the game with people I know; and I'm certain I'm not a minority as a player who does that. Keep me with the party I formed in town when entering the mission, and have reasonable enough henchmen to pad up to what's required to do the mission.
