I'm going to go ahead and jump on the GW2 bandwagon here. I have accomplished all
that I wanted in Guild Wars, and have no need for additional GW money or items. On that
note, commissions are neither open nor closed - I am still up for drawing art of any GW or
other characters, but I am only interested in being paid in GW2 currency, once the game
is released of course.

Since part of my irresponsibility problem includes vanishing off of Nolani without
warning, if 2 weeks go by without any response from me then you can go ahead and
consider this thread closed. Use the "Last edited by" dates on the first two posts in
this thread as a guideline for that.


Art is my hobby. I have not had any formal training, and I have no intention of taking
this hobby any more seriously than I do right now. When I want feedback on a work
in progress I will specifically ask for it. Please do not critique finished commissions.

Requests will be completed as the inspiration strikes me.
Maximum number of slots for non-chibi art: 3.
I can always accept more chibi requests.

No hit and runs: Posting a form doesn't mean its accepted.
I may have additional questions or details to be clarified.
Please check back frequently, especially right after posting a form.

CAVEAT AS OF 9/1/11 - Read Before Posting.

I'm tired of drawing chibis. Some of you may have seen this coming. I will still accept chibi requests, but I highly favor non-chibi requests at the moment. I need the practice. I have also redone my pricing/options and request form. My non-chibi art is now split into original and semi realism. I will no longer draw in highly anime style. I want to develop my own style and that's not going to happen if I'm constantly trying to twist my art in different directions. From now on you get whatever I draw, and I hold in good faith that when you request art from me you imply that you like my art in general and not just when I draw in a specific style. The only style difference I will recognize is chibi vs non-chibi. The extra 'semi realism' style refers to characters with defined cheekbones and lips.


FAQ
Q: What art program do you use?
A: I draw in Paint Tool SAI, and create transparency/filter/animation effects in Photoshop CS5.

Q: How long does it take you to draw a request?
A: Chibis take me a couple of hours each. I may work on larger requests over the span of many days. The most time-consuming part of drawing is, in fact, the planning stage. Getting past the art block and actually putting pen to tablet.

Q: How many days will it take for you to finish my request?
A: As long as it takes. I'll post it WHEN I'M DONE. Unless you specifically state up front that you have a deadline that you need the art by (gift art for a special event, etc) then do NOT ask me if it's finished yet. Although I am offering commissions for virtual game money this is still my hobby. Placing pressure on me to "hurry up" contributes to art block. I can and will drop your request if you don't leave me alone about this.

Q: You're taking too long/I need the money for something else, can I cancel?
A: If I haven't started drawing your request yet, feel free to cancel.

Q: Do you draw OCs/characters not from Guild Wars?
A: Sure, why not.

Q: Are there any other forms of (GW) payment you accept?
A: I am still working on my HoM and would appreciate anything that will help me further that goal. (I'm not going for GWAMM, however, and will not be bothering with titles such as VQ and cartography.) I also want to get a bambi emote on my second account. If you are a PvPer, I would greatly prefer being invited to balanced or spike HA groups over being paid in plat/ecto. I have experience as most midline and should be able to carry my own weight in a match.

Easy way to access your old threads, especially since you've made so little (this is how I got to your old thread) - go to your profile and go to "Find all threads started by Araiia" under the Statistics tab. And I noticed the prices - I edited my first post.

This should be fun to do. I should be able to get started on your chibi tomorrow after exams. Any sword you want Asereth to be holding?

Not too particular on that. I'd take a pass on the excessively elaborate designs this game has to offer, and likely just a step above a simple bastard sword. I'll pull up some references, but feel free to take as much license in the design as you like.
