Uhm i had to write here my most recent exprience with forbidden staves
so i ran around 40 chests in Raisu palace HM and got 12 Gold Forbidden staffs from those 40 chests, i mean i never had even as many jade/amber staffs lol, also suprised me there were 10 diff attri ones..

4 of those were 20/10 and rest crap mixed attris prettymuch

Also ive recently run alot chests in areas which may drop bo/dragon/plat staves, Sofar had 2 dragon 1 plat and 1bo staff (my 2nd gold Bo ever yey!)

Also had 2 gold outcast and few gold plague/cele/cockrats

Those are my most recent expriences

Perhaps the Ambers and Jades wind up seeming more common because they drop in more than one map, and those are maps more players are likely to be working on for faction points and such? Pretty much the only reason to be in Raisu is to do the mission, map or vanquish unless you're interested only in chest running, right?

Just a thought.

R9 Fire Cockatrice 20/10? Worth anything?

dunno though. i gotta q10 celestial fire 20/10 a few months back. sold for 50k. a bit less from that on yurs imo. 20 u could get rid of quick but if u sit on it i think u could get 40. but these days though most ppl are just spending money on hom stuph.... but yeah, this shoulda been more in the PC section. whoops

Thats possibly it, but yeah, i ran another 40 there and got again 12 forbid staffs (10 only gold tho QQ), So i guess it wasnt just random luck :P

Was asking if it was worth anything, not how much. It says it's tier 4 on Eric's list but other tier 4's r9 20/10 sell for much more than what my research says a cockatrice staff gets. I guess rewording my post would have been better.

I'm fairly sure that Cleavage has already said that it's about pure rarity, not value. There is sometimes a correlation, but not always. Value often has just as much to do with skin popularity - for instance, there's a shitton of BDS's around due to all the farmers, but they're still worth a lot.

If Cleav's tiers were sorted by value rather than rarity, they'd look quite a bit different imo.

This is what i got , one Holy Branch 20/20 Q9 Divine favor / Another is 20/20 Prot Q10 Divine Holy. As for others staves, 1 Outcast 20/10 earth , some 20/10 Amber (fire ,illusion, Df) , Celestial 20/10 ( fire channeling).

wintergreen staff under tier 5?

Wintergreen should be in the last group. It was a reward for GvG tournament in Wintersday '06.

I think tiers 1-5 reflect drop rate instead of how many exist.

ive seen far more dragons and bo's then plats, should be seperate.

plagueborn should be knocked down a couple of tiers its very very common.

So, wanted to ask about a Winged Staff Oldsql 20/19 Smite.... and Also winged Staffs in general. Havent seen much in Oldsql.

Btw, i agree with superraptors, platinum staffs are quite rare to find with any usefull mod.
dragon staff have become quite common, platinums are still really rare.

W/e, even if not, I'm happy as a clam.

There are many more 20/20 platinum staves floating around than 20/20 dragons. This is even considering the recent popularity of dragon staves, which should've brought more specimens to light but has not. 20/20 dragons are (as those of us who actually look for them know) the rarest staves in the game.

Well my statictics are based on drops me & my friends had.

Personally overall like 20/10 ones even. had 3-4 dragons. 0 plats and 0 Bo's

And had way more dragons dropping then bo/plat, and for the skins the change it being 20/20 should be same. as they drop for same attris etc.

Just guess for dragon staffs most ppl just keep em. when ppl rather sell bo/plat..

Tho good bo's are way more common then dragon for sure. AS Bo's quite easyly farmable when plat & dragon aren that easy, even tho posible
