its basically been said that Cantha: Winds of Change will be out before wintersday. because the costumes are part of that content, and the NEXT costumes after thats are going to be for wintersday. so i guess im happy, even though i haven't even started the WiK content.

I like the approach they took with the halloween masks. Very nice actually combined with the actual halloween costumes, more scary.

Wedding costumes ftw but I'm a bit confused, we have 3 events soon. Wedding, Wintersday & WoC. What's the order? I'd go with WoC starting around Canthan New Year, kinda makes sense.

it will be all one event: "The Wintersday Winds of change Wedding" or WWoCW as it where.

Well, hey, whatever you can pull inspiration from, I guess.

Why would that be necessary? Did the last one die or leave or something?

So we should be getting content real soon, there is only 5 weeks until the Wintersday events usually start. Maybe tonight with the rumored skill update?

OK, now im beginning to wonder if the storys of the Mad King Thorn and his court are based on real life Haloween stories... or personal experiences of the devs..

Can't wait for the Cantha stuff. I've always loved Cantha, and am so glad they're revisiting it.

*claps really hard* Finally some new content!

I hope female characters have the option to wear top hats (mesmers especially). I know I'll be woefully disappointed if my mesmer can only wear a wedding dress (which I won't buy) and no spiffy hat. /begs Anet.

I don't think the Canthan stuff has anything to do with Shiro. If he was returning or attempting to return, its my personal belief that it would be mentioned in the lore already. (Gw1/Gw2 lore)

Easy one: Togo. They love their Togo. He'll be back as a ghostly ritualist hero.

Rurik comes back to annoy us some more and aggro entire maps now.

Or, since Dhuum was added last year at this time to UW, maybe they'll add Undead Ruriks to run around grabbing aggro to the reapers.

Naw, it's cantha so we'll have to have our lovely canthan AI...aka, Togo lagging behind then not following because we didn't listen to his long-winded dialogue nobody ever reads anyway, then Mhenlo running up to heal an NPC and getting spiked to death by the afflicted.

I wish that GW2 was set in Cantha, not Tyria. :sadface:

The last section of that interview was revealing. Stumme is talking about Wintersday costumes coming after "wedding" gear and/or events. That would lead me to believe we would be getting some kind of content release prior to December.

Don't get confused, it doesn't mean the Cantha Chapter will happen soon, only the return of Thackeray/the Wedding.
Its already mid November, so itll likely be in order of:

1. Thackerays return + Wedding Costume Set

2. Winterday + New Winterday Costume Set

3. GW:Beyond Cantha Chapter + Costume Set

...

Top hats! Now I finally have reason to buy a costume. A top hat would look fabulous with male ele elite Kurzick armor.
