I like where you r going with that one. Love the details in the crown!
Her face is not bad imo, but it reminds me a little bit of

Her face is OK, she is a bit solemn is she changing her mind?
I like her tiara. I would not usually mix silver and pearls but maybe it is white gold - or mithril...
will there be a pendent on the end of the necklace - otherwise the V- shape is a bit odd.
Ovarall another gorgeous pic

oh mai, add beading to the top half, and it's almost my wedding dress :O
Charlie Dayman
What size are you working this one in?
InfestedHydralisk
Hmm, I do have to agree that the face could use some more work.
Eastern Magik
@Warvic oh well, i already changed her face so..... XD
@Aeronwen im changing my mind too often, and you can obviously notice that on the picture :P
I'm not going to keep that necklace, was just trying out how it would look like (i'm open for suggestions )
@Thistle ofc i'll add beading!!! imo, that the most interesting part of the dress
@Charlie 6000x7000 300dpi
@IH she needs a make-over >_<
And here it is, 5th try:

Jeez, how do you keep your computer from hating on you while you work?
I like this new side view better. Though I think the shadows where her cheek meets her nostril and her freckles could be subdued a little bit. They look a bit strong and make her look a bit aged.
Other than that, keep on keepin' on.

My freckles and I disagree with you >:O

The gravy stains on my face that look like freckles disagree with both your disagreements.

I like your latest pose the best, Magik BTW, thanks for sharing the vid! That was so cool to watch and I was totally digging the music :P At two points it seemed to repeat. Was that a recording issue, or did you really redo the armor twice again?
Aeronwen
Thats lovely Magik, she definately looks like she will go ahead with the wedding.
A redhead will get freckles just thinking about the sun, I think they are cute ^^
Whats the tiara doing though?

@IH yep, i think freckles are cute :3
@US yaay ^^
@Charlie idk, i think my computer loves me but seriously i don't know, i always use at least 5000x5000 dpi canvas, with both painter and photoshop open, and sometimes i run gw too (when there are afk events like Canthan NY) + browser and mp3 player and other minor programs which are necessary... But im familiar with the headaches which can cause bad computer, 2 years ago i had laptop which couldn't run photoshop and mp3 player at the same time, it would just stop working and when i remove its battery all my work would be gone >_< And thanks for the advice, i already lowered opacity of freckles layer when one of my friends asked for her age XD will work a little bit on that shadow too.
@Thisle thanks :3 Oh, yeah, i just saw that, its an error while recording, since i did armor only once... But hey, at least you enjoyed the music
@Aero thanks And what about tiara?
So, heres todays progress:

I think i won't add anymore beading patterns there. Her hands need a lot of work, also the lower part of the dress.
Minami
That is so gorgeous, Magik! *_*
You are an amazing artist <3333
You have no idea how many times I've checked your first post to see how many people there are on the waiting list between your current work and me.
Off topic a bit:
Since I know that Aeronwen posts in your thread (who doesn't? It's amazing stuff in here!^_^), I'd like to say to her, please clear your PM inbox, I can't send you a message back!

That looks great, amazing detail on the dress.

Jeez, my computer would probably straight up freeze if I tried running all those programs while working on a canvas that size.
She definitely looks much younger now. Her nostril seems a bit high and large and could be shrunken and angled down. It's looking good.
I think that's my biggest issue with working large. You get so into working on tight little pockets when zoomed in, it's difficult to tell how it looks like in comparison to everything else. Hence, you always have to step back from your work and see what it looks like from a distance.
Not sure if you always work at <100% zoom as well.

@Minami thanks love :3 and sorry for waiting, if i could i would draw 24/7 XD
@IH ty :3 i still have to add some tiny details there
@Charlie ok, will try to fix it, thanks for pointing that out
I almost always work at around 50% in size in painter. And when i work in photoshop, i zoom in on one window and on another is zoomed out, so i see results right away (you probably already know this, but you can open several different windows for one picture: "Window > Arrange > New window for ...." for those who don't know :3 ) It's especially useful for those who have 2+ monitors or big screen

@Magik No need to say sorry for waiting ^_^ It's going to be so exciting to see how the picture develops I count myself lucky to have made it onto your list

Freckles. <3 I hope they'll have the possibility of adding freckles on your characters in GW2, I'd probably have them on all of mine. XD
I'm really liking all the small details in that wedding piece, with the freckles and the beading and the hair. Very, very beautiful!

Yeah my photoshop is crawling right now because the picture is huge. I find myself working on 50% size though and barely on the 100% so I might resize it.

@Perynne thanks :3
yeah, i hope they'll include freckles too, it would be so awesome ^^, im hoping for at least character customization like in Aion :3 Since in gw1 its really hard to make really unique character Chances are that you'll end up finding at least 1 more player looking exactly like you >_<
@Charlie well, it happens
@Mina thanks :3
So, i haven't really made any big progress, i just fixed her nose/make-up, and added necklace. And guess what? Freckles are back :P Been browsing photographs to see how they look like on young children and instead of big (age) spots, i've used tiny spatter brush to get cute tiny freckles But i also included non-freckle version, and will let Unlucky Slayer decide which one is better :3

ooh, I really like the delicate lacing! Are you making a video of this one, too?
InfestedHydralisk
My preference goes to the right now, not a huge fan of freckles, especially the ones when they are very clear. :P
Warvic
I just stop by to show you guys that we can have freckles in Guild Wars 2!
I like the one without freckles more btw. Same reasons are IH.

@Thistle unfortunately no, im really low on space on my hdd one hour of recording is 1GB
@IH & Warvic well, commissioner chose non-freckle version too, so...
No wips for today (since its a day off in Serbia today :P ), i got to work the whole day (well not the whole day, 2-3h maybe), and i'll post finished version tomorrow, yaaay :3 (just need to finish the skirt, little more details on doves, and her hands, and and and the castle... )
And heres the song which inspired me through the whole painting

Drelias Melaku
She's BEAUTIFUL. The dress is lovely, too. I looove the beading on top - so delicate and feminine. That's a lovely hair color, too. I used to dye my hair like that a lot, but alas, it faded far too quickly to keep it up for long.
Thistle Xandra
aww, too bad those recordings eat up so much space At least I got to see one vid though <3
Eastern Magik
@Drelias thanks :3 Yeah, when you start dyeing your hair, you have to do it pretty often >_< But if i had to chose one color to dye my hair to, it'll be dark red :3
@Thistle <3
And you can see the finished version of Teleri Lynd painting here Since you can't really see the details, i uploaded close up version as well.
Next in line: Unlucky Slayer with second character, Mina Rae.
While working on next commission, i'll also be working on my entry for landscape contest. Although, i still haven't decided if i'll actually enter the contest, i'll make the picture and then decide XD (Im still not sure if i'll be able to finish it in time, and how will the end result turn out). Atm, im just browsing in search for some inspiration, i have some ideas, but nothing specific yet.....

So, i started with sketch for lsc, and (oh how original >_<) i chose Kodash Bazaar XD (well, sort of...). But im having a HUGE dilemma :O (see the eg. below). Been watching a lot of tutorials regarding the composition lately, and obviously the "selling point" of this picture would be the city in the center... But im not sure how to arrange the floating pillars, im afraid that the first piccie is too crowded, and the second one is, well, the right corner feels kinda empty :S And i want for viewers to wander around, but ultimately to return to the center of picture. So, i need to figure that out, because if i fail at composition, no matter how good everything else is, i'll fail the whole painting... Also, i might get rid of one of the pillars in the far back (probably the left one) and add some kind of flying creature like whale or turtle or boat or something XD

I like the upper one better. It is a little more crowded yes, but it also has more depth with different sized floaty buildings. You can also draw a viewer's eyes by choosing your colours carefully, so if you paint the big middle building with really saturated and eye-grabbing colours, you can still draw their eyes towards it.
Then the buildings in the back and to the front can be a little unfocused, or drawn with less saturated tones. That way they won't seem as important, while still framing the drawing and giving it depth nicely.

Lovely bride, lucky groom! Oh can't wait to see Mina Rae, I am extra interested because she has the same name as my character ^_^
I agree with Perynne on the landscape sketch

@Perynne thanks for the advice. I moved the left pillar a little to the left, so it doesn't grab too much of attention from the palace.
@Mina thanks :3
I think all of the OC's named "Mina" are tough girls lol :P
Anyway, heres the final sketch:
