I'm aware of that possibly but have been ignoring the idea because I would find it rather lame and forced.

TNTF! that Keiran uses is low powered (but longer duration) because he'd just assumed that role. He got a taste in the previous mission where he learned "Find Their Weakness!" just giving Miku orders, and moved up a bit in defending Beetletun. He's still got a ways to go before he's ready for full command duty, and the wedding comes first.

Dinas is not "/facepalm obvious". A good choice, maybe. Obvious, not so much. He's still just a secondary NPC that offers nothing but a source of information. And what would his outfit look like? He won't wear his white mantle disguise, obvious by his dialogues. I also don't see him dressing like a common krytan, either.

Actually i couldn't help think Gwen's mum would come to the wedding anyway but not as a hero.

The pendant could do something magical...i spose...
but then again it could link the Mad King's story, the Lunatic court want to get him back to life, however we all know this won't happen especialyl since it wont make halloween visits that special. We've already been told someone else is trying to get back to the mortal realm, it could be sarah as a good tie up...
though i doubt this very much especially looking at the time frame.

Actually , unlocking thackeray as paragon could be a possibility. Then , taking gwen and thackeray as same as heroes could make a little bonus for the party , or maybe would we have to do some quests while having those 2 heroes...

I have a feeling the Hero is going to be a wild card where you can basically put their professions as anything you would want. As for their appearance/race I am unsure what it would be. I think Thackeray is too obvious and I would like to believe it would be something GW2 related to transition into that game.

I am more excited for the addition of the full party heroes as I play at strange times and is often hard for me to find a group that speaks english so the addition will help me do some of the more elite areas that I don't have a lot of experience in.

I hope it's not another paragon. Most of us hardly even use the two that we already have.

They added M.O.X over two years ago and hardly anyone takes him because of his undesirable profession. He may be used more after the dervish update, but how long have we been waiting on that?

I guess a paragon hero could be worth taking if they get a massive update as well. What's the earliest we could expect something like that? Sometime in 2012? I'm sorry, but I'll probably be playing GW2 (or something else) and not caring about the fact that a hero I got a couple years ago is finally worth having in my party.

Anet! Please don't add anymore heroes that won't see the light of day without a mega update. :/

Seriously, though, I think there would be way too much QQ if they released a paragon, dervish, ranger, or assassin hero. With the improvement to melee AI coming soon, I'd say it much more likely that it's gonna be a warrior.

Would be awesome though if we got some sort of variable profession hero. Like, we could basically make it whichever profession we'd like.

Maybe it's an ooze with a badass personality and something to prove.

His profession is extremely desirable. A simple Wounding Strike build (plus a regular scythe attack or two + Wild Blow + res signet + Faithful Intervention + a couple other Enchantments) and MOX becomes VERY dangerous, even with the melee Hero AI.

His size, however, is a major problem for those of us who don't like the battlefield obscured, so we leave him in the box and bring Melonni instead (and, except when I'm running Sabway or am being forced to take Koss, she is one of my default Heroes - Dunkoro for heals and a bit of protection, Olias as an MM, and Melonni make for a very good team).

There would be far more complaining if a FOURTH warrior was released. The general population rarely uses one warrior, let alone four. We're most likely going to see a hero that there is only 2 of.

Besides, in GW2 they are only 25 (I think) years old. It wouldn't make sense, lore-wise, to have one rogue sylvari be so much older than the rest. They would have more prior knowledge than they start with in GW2, since their dreams/memories go into a collective knowledge.

Lots of people posting opinions without bothering to even read the thread. It's already been said by Stumme that it wouldn't be a ranger, assassin, Keiran or Miku.

He chose to elude to the fact that hero melee AI will be getting an update very soon, which definitely lends itself to the idea that it will be a melee hero, but not an assassin. It most likely won't be a warrior either, since that'd make four warrior heros vs. only two of several other classes.

Meanwhile people have been complaining about the dervish update being nowhere in sight. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the update combines the hero melee ai update, the dervish skill update, and a new dervish hero.

I doubt ANet will give us a fourth hero for some class when we have only two of some classes. Since Assassin has been explicitly excluded by Stumme, that leaves:

Mesmer
Paragon
Ritualist

I sincerely doubt they'll give us a "any profession" hero.

They *might* give us what I want: The ability to use our other characters as heroes. That neatly solves a number of problems, since the interface already supports multiple characters with heros; instead of having one character take seven heroes, I could take two characters with three heroes each. This gives customization and full hero parties without the need for massive UI changes.

If a traditional hero is given at the wedding, it would likely be a Mesmer, given that it is the only core professional with only two heros.

For Winds of Change, a Ritualist would make sense. Maybe even another assassin (Miku), given that Stumme's comments refer to the new WiK hero, NOT any WoC heroes.

I was taking that at face value (and ignoring the stuff in parenthesis). I didn't find any such confirmation on GWWiki.

It seems that Keiran has a chance to randomly appear with different shields. He is probably spawning drop inventory like any good mob, and then wearing it if he can. As far as we've seen though it's just warrior skins, not paragon ones; also no weapons have been reported. (but that may just be related to him having no attributes?)

I only want heroes with unique models. Not the generic ones the Ebon Falcons use. If the Ebon Falcons become more important in the GW:B story I plead to John that he give them player armour (like he did for Miku) to make them look a little bit out of the ordinary for NPCs.

Thank god someone got it. I tried several times to spawn the shield but it never appeared after I found out people weren't getting it. I didn't screen cap it when it was a normal appearance.

I like the idea of Blimm as a Ritualist hero. He does own a Ritualist Staff and Office Space references never get old. Or a Seer Golem as a Ritualist or Mesmer Hero. I have even grown to like the idea of Thackery as a Paragon. Paragon heros on thier own tend to be kinda weak, but the more you add the better they work.

If its not a Mesmer, Ritualist, or even a Paragon Hero, whatever it is will probably be as useful as MOX(ie weapon storage). An ANY profession hero doesnt seem likely, I hope I am proven wrong. Evennia would be neat, but do we really need another Monk hero? If she changed professions I could see it. And Suun would also be cool but he wasnt part of WiK.

WiK is not required to do WoC, so there can't be too much connection between the two.

The new hero is part of HotN, which is related to WiK since you need to finish WiK to access it.
