I'm sure there are somethings you came across while playing guildwars that just don't make sense, but which you did not notice, did not care, ignored, knew it doesn't make sense but yet still agree it should be how it is.

So this thread is just that - to share these little things that you think don't make sense and want changed or not, criticize it, make fun of it, etc.

Remember - this is not a QQ thread, but a fun place to share these experiences.
Also if you want to make it more fun - try to turn what the previous poster said into something that makes sense, rationalize it in a way (since i see a number of people doing it already haha)

Here's mine:

So i was doing the mission of Surmia HM for my Young Heroes of Tryia handbook, at the end of the mission where the mages are, i had to defend against the groups of Charrs coming in...
while i was fighting them...i was thinking...what are all those other Charrs doing standing out there while their mates get slaughtered by me...they would've definitely been able to slaughter my group if they were to come fighting me all at once, and got to kill the annoying Prince Rurik too...
Doesn't make sense...but i guess it had to do cause if it happens the realistic way, i would never be able to complete the mission

The drops you get during the game have little logic.

You meet a spider that uses ranger skills, on death it drops a scythe
Its a spider it doesn't use a bow or a scythe and is unlikely to have eaten one.

Like every levelling based RPG, why are all the low level mobs conveniently located in lowest levelled to highest levelled in direct correlation to the story line? Less apparent in Factions and Nightfall but it still exists.

why is the rarest stacked item a fcking bracelet? You kill a bunch of evil demons and a giant monkey and all you get is a bracelet? Furthermore, why does the collector want to give you a cool weapon for a bracelet?

Why in ToA, is there a shrine thingy for melundra and a spirit there that does absolutely nothing but make you wish there was a realm for melundra.

You can swing an axe into someones face in RA, you can impale them, decapitate, make them rot , make corpses explode ...
but god forbid that you depict a death of panda (in china)

You save a nation from Shiros wrath , a luxon merchant refuses to trade...

Can't use punch in game as normal attack (brawling skills are skills) , except when you execute rurik without weapon at cutscene...

It would be cool if they actually established rules of the GW universe where they do concede that no one ever truly dies, they are just continuously resurrected with some sort of accumulated death penalty to the point where they are completely no longer a combat asset or make up some sort of McGuffin like, "you don't really die, Dwayna saves you at the last second and teleports you to a resurrection shrine or town to recover but sometimes (SPOILER!!!) guys like Rurik or Togo were not able to be saved and they did truly die".

Charr built effigies to both the Mursaat and the Titans throughout Ascalon. Ignoring that the Mursaat and Titans aren't friendly toward each other, the Mursaat aided Saul D'Alessio in destruction of a massive Charr army which threatened Kryta.

I've always wondered what I did to piss off every single living being in Tyria. It just doesn't make sense.

Sure, the Margonites, the Corsairs, the random dinosaurs that I can only assume I reawakened from extinction against their collective will - those creatures wanting to attack me makes sense. But why do the plant creatures, elementals, and other random inhabitants think I'm a threat?

Seriously. What did my character do to piss every single thing (except normal animals) off?

Speaking of Rurik. Why the hell is he only level 10? Hey, your highness, why don't you go out there kill some stuff and earn some actual EXPERIENCE before you start charging into battle for me to save your sorry butt. (1) - I question why EL Tonics such as EL Unseen, when transformed, doesn't show it holds a Fushisa Staff. The Mursaat monster has one.

(2) - Why can't a Ritualist have control of its Spirits, which target to attack? I have thought Ritualist have such an ability as to control them, as the name per-says "Ritualist".

how my female characters can stand with their shoulders sooo far back with one knee bent and NOT have back problems! (and why they could not make more than what 4 different models so that my ele my rit and such all stand exactly alike).

why are they never hungry??? (and where is the bathroom?????)

Assassins in PvE are best for farming. What the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO?! Assassins are quick, deadly and silent. They are not invincible and they don't hold aggro, can you imagine Ryu from Ninja Gaiden saying, "Hey! Hey everybody that want's to kill me! Over here! Nani nani boo boo you can't kill me!"

Why did Kormir absorb Abaddons explosion?! Let alone how did she absorb it. Really, if a God was going to explode, I would run away not towards. Well, then again, Kormir is a leech so she leeches a cataclysmic explosion.

Ritualists throw spears underhanded and behind the back... what?!

There are resurrect shrines, resurrect spells and items that resurrect. So, when Rurik and Togo died, we, as the players let them perish. Huh, serves them right.

Why do we trade Medal of Honors for items? Really? Their a heroic trophy giving proof that I've saved many innocent people and risking my life doing so. Yet they want my trophies in trade for the weapons that the enemy uses.

Buying spells, no need to learn any when when cash solves that problem.

Earth Damage, what the RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO is earth damage? Hitting with a sharp rock, isn't that the same as cutting some one?

Blind makes you miss with attacks, but casting Flare is no problem. Arrow is a projectile and so is a fire ball but you don't need to see to toss fire everywhere.

Remember Goren? Neither do I!

Remember Pet Mastery? Neither do I!

Palm Strike causes cripple... What? A Palm Strike jabs up the nose, intending to break it. It makes the nose bleed! How does it cripple ones leg?! Also, how does a Jagged strike just bleed while a Palm Strike does like 70 damage?

Why does Save Yourselves give 100 armor? How does saying that makes other people armor stronger?

How come dear old Mr Thackery gets to marry Gwen when my male character went through all that annoying trouble for him. Seriously, couldn't Gwen get the hint that I wasn't doing it out of the pure kindness of my heart? And aside from that point, not even a remotely sincere word of thanks from either of them and I have to join his party?

Oh and Kormir, yeah. And Togo, and Mhenlo, etc. Do we do everyone else's dirty work in Tyria?

When doing hotn and kierans first solo mission for the 100th time ( or it seems that way ) it actually occured to me that the white mantle ( or peacekeeper - forgot which ) must have been to cantha at some stage as i keep seeing them with a white tiger now and then.But as far as we know theres never really been any white mantle sightings in cantha or if they have they have never been reported.

Del - in some countries the only toilet in the house is actually in the bathroom and the term " i want to use the bathroom" means they want to toilet - confusing i know.

they never go to bathroom, so they don't get hungry. they probably had their first meal before the adventure begins, and the meal just lasts them as long as they don't go to bathroom....

Why is parchment (which in real life is thin treated animal skin, noted for being reusable since the writing could always be scraped off) made from wood planks in GW? The same with vellum...
