Feature Build: The calm before the storm

Most signs point to next week, so I'm not really getting the optimists or the pessimists.

If Drunkard changes to account based I will be VERY happy. It will pump another 1k onto my current total and bring me ever closer to GWAMM.

Similarly, if they change Survivor it will save me a lot of money as I won't have to buy Sweet Tooth to get GWAMM. Plus I can box my way to Survivor and pick up extra booze on the way!


I've got about 4/5 full hero builds set up and ready to try, especially excited about trying some Dervishes.

I've already got Legendary Vanquisher, Legendary Guardian, Legendary Skill Hunter, etc etc etc. So its just the money making schemes I'm looking forward to. I can't wait to take a full team into UW to get my ectos for Obsidian.

Not quite... Maybe it will allow my toon to be getting GWAMM by getting a title he couldn't even try to get at the time. Stupid alliegence and wisdom titles...

Is that what they are doing? Yes, I suppose I would be happy - although it would still be a pain if that 1k of minutes stays locked on my other characters.

Hopefully I can get Survivor on my main which will help with my GWAMM. A Change to Drunkard would help but I don't mind popping drinks every 3 minutes while vqing.

I can't immagine what else they would change though....

I dont need to rune most of my heroes but some of them I have never even used or just if they are needed to proceed. There might be a little more weapons and maybe even tomes market after the update. I am really looking forward to it, not just the 7 heroes part because I always play together with a friend, but the rest and I hope some increase in players

It would be interesting to make some scrimmage arena where a player could fight an other with 7 heroes ( it would still be PvP since there would be a player in both side right ??)
I'm pretty sure players will get bored 2 months later when everyone will have complete all vanquishs....

Ive always geared and runed all heroes prior to merching items so they are set. All but Thack, that is.. and I swear he will never see a zone with me.

I could really care less about title changes, I have all I want in my HOM.

Im looking forward to 7 heroes mainly for VQ tyria and Cantha, Elona is done.

Also.. I want to clear WIK on my other chars. I played it through once on my main.. and TBH the replayability on it and Hearts of the North are pretty meh. I won't bother until I have full hero groups.

Haha, I finished Elona recently and have been slowly working on Cantha...I've just really been dragging feet on Tyria because good god I do not want to do that with henchmen. Namely, I don't want to deal with Alesia. Damn her.

Nothing really. just normal farming gold or have some to buy stuff. But i hope in some way it helps trading. YES by a long ( i mean long shot) something get's updated in the party window. But really i hope after this update i'm going to "Trash" or "sell" off a a lot of junk weapons, inscriptions, tomes, party points,. etc.. my toons are full of them and need to stop hording junk!

so really for me it's after this update i hope to clear out or do some "spring cleaning"

On the heroes and weapons and runes? never botherd me. as long as runes are not 10k! I fell so bad because i run them with there start stuff I guess i'll focus on them more.

Well I have been putting off finishing vanqing on Tyria and Elona. Was gonna start it cause I didn't know when this build would happen. Probably hold off on it now, might also start doing HM missions if I can find a decent 7 hero build..but probably not.

Might not finish off drunkard now, if it's gonna become account wide. Might wait until build goes live.

Buy Runes/Insignias etc. people! If you ahve even 4 characters that you play frequently and want to use a 7 hero party, that is a lot of runes to buy. Also, the rune trader will be sold out, meaning if you don't buy them now you will be forced to farm for them and then you will be able to go do what you want afterwards. I think this is by ffar the problem most people will have.

I've been stocking up on runes/insignias as well as collecting some cheapo greens to outfit the heroes with. I'm looking forward to trying different Team builds with all my different characters and running with specific heroes for each toon. Should be a good time!

I've been saving the 8 man areas in tyria vq for if this drops this week. Will also make elona easier I expect when i get around to it since so much is 8 man.

Survivor change would be brilliant as I could skip one of the cons titles and if drunkard changes to points instead of mins it would be great too.

Already have the heroes geared, but will be nice to use them all. Really want to mess around in DoA with crazy shit.

Before spreading rumours and getting hopes up, where is the credible source stating about Drunkard change and AI update?

Jeez - stop shouting get your runes/insignias , most players ( and most here stated as well ) heros are already runed up .Theory crafting is also a waste of time - oh yes xx build looks gd on paper but what happens if anets release of 7 heros concides with skill changes/nerfs ? all your runes may be wasted and your theorycraft is useless.
Runes/insignias as many of us know are damn easy to farm ( even in nm ) and many have probably enough runes lying around - ive even setup a new monk chr with runes ive farmed easily over last week ( 55 monk ) and that cost me absolute zero.
And im going to make a stab in the dark and most players will probably be using a varient of sabway/discordway/spiritway or possibly many will do as we do now - still use hench to fill the spaces - hench may not be hero material but they already runed and skilled and done us gd so far :P
As for having to farm for them - thats what most ppl do anyway , ask any feather farmer who does jaya bluffs if they get plenty of runes - also this is done when feather farming as runes/insignias are a bonus at times ( i love it when spawning power runes drop ).
Those saying grab runes now - i get a feeling you are players trying to exploit the market and attempting to get the prices raised so you can offload your runes at higher price before players realise they didnt have to buy them ( no offence but thats exactly how it looks )

7 heroes is nice, but having been using 6 heroes for some time, I don't think it would be a lot more powerful than what we get from H/H at the moment.

The best is still a full human team with 24 pve skills. With a 6-heroes setup now I have 6 pve skills per team, which is probably more powerful than a similar 7-heroes setup.

I'm holding off on finishing my 3rd legendary vanquisher. My para only needs the caravan vanq from toa->ascalon for gwamm, and I figured it might be fun to try with 7 heroes.

But, I'm not holding my breath. If it doesn't come out soon I'll just start chipping away on those vanquishes with 3 heroes :P

Thanks for reminding me tho, I do need to rune/equip a few heroes though before survivor runes go way up etc.
