I love how 50% of the shit I've been suggesting over the past 3 years has been put in there. GJ Anet, I only hope the GvG rewards won't get farmed by PvE guilds. (As in, you actually need to play GvG)

I wonder if the boost to 'imperial' faction really will rival VQing and such. I doubt it'll match faction SC guilds though.

Holy heck.
Well, this will certainly change a lot of things. My guild (which mostly just plays JQ) will certainly be happy.
While I'm glad I'll be able to farm points easier, I'm not sure I like the change to the glad title. It basically removes any "skill" from the title and turns it into a grind title, much like HA.

"Last Halloween, we started offering special holiday drops in GvG battles, rewarding players for killing the enemy Guild Lord instead of going to a tiebreaker. We found this to be an effective way to encourage players to play more aggressively in GvG..."
I find it hard to believe that a few ToT bags will change how people GvG when people have stacks of zkeys from winning tournaments.
Also, implementing emotes for ladder rank won't encourage people to come play again, especially when anet is killing their own game with horrible skill balances (dervs) and pointless additions such as "flux."

...To compensate players who have already earned progress towards the Gladiator or Codex Title tracks using the old system, we've multiplied current title points by eight...

The one funny thing, now everyone is going to queue on Kurzick side of FA, and no-one's going to get a match...
Actually that points out a larger issue. People are still going to be biased to queue up with the "winning" side. This is already an issue with the remaining AB population, many of whom don't care about faction and switch to whomever is favored by the current map. It's a game of chicken to see which players are impatient enough with the wait times to switch to the weaker side, and it's unfortunately going to be biased towards the less serious players that do so, which makes the disadvantaged side even more likely to lose. The ability to switch sides is very much needed but it needs some failsafes to deal with these problems.

I'm not the only one who will glance at your initial post OP and assume you summarized everything in the Dev update for the sake of brevity, but thanks.

i dunno why we need to be able to trade coins most of the stuff we buy from people who used the coins are higher items like the 15 bag stuff. so even if we buy coins isnt it the same as just buying the item? and wth new minis?! didnt they say their wouldnt be new minis? since its why we got tonics for 6th instead of minis? xD
