Winds of Change quests are likely to award Imperial faction, which you can convert to whatever you like. Pretty obvious in retrospect...

Before you think that Imperial faction is going to be a reward for quests in the new storyline content, you should think about why the only sources of faction that were changed to Imperial faction were from PvP.

A good bit of this update caught me totally by surprise. IDK how I feel about the RA update, but man that sword is shiny. Trade-able z-coins...hmm. So now Pve'ers can buy PvP weapon skins and armor or is Tolkano forbidding them to talk to him about that?
I guess I can buy z-coins now for my dedicated PvP characters and get my FoW armor for them sooner rather than later.

With the lingo of the new Zaishen quests, it don't imply that you need to win a battle for the reward. Feels like a bit of an oversight to me. Winning a single battle at once in any arena is no steep feat.

Anyone notice there are no Envoy spear, hammer, dagger, sheilds, bows, focus, wands, and all the staffs are primary attris only? (oh and the staves inheirent is halves casting 10%....lol)

haha, well im kinda loving the ladder reset. As of this post, the PvE guild that I am in is ranked 23rd due to us facing one top 100 guild and them resigning.

The new envoy weapons are expensive as hell. 15 skill points and 100 gold zaishen coins. Sad to see theres only sword, axe, scythe and staffs of the respective primary caster attributes.

Also, while the /guild emote has a cool down, it seems independent of /aion and /zrank, meaning you can spam the 2 right after each other

I'd be interested in knowing what breakpoints are for each Envoy emote, not that any are great.... Weapons are depressing, but at least people have something new.
I'm interested to know what the strongboxes can drop, especially since I'm sure the minis/el tonics will have a horrid rate that makes them as pointless as the ghostly hero.
EDIT: I bet the minis/tonics are just envoys... :|

Do you have to have done all the titan quests in order to access the hard mode ones? I have not yet done defend north kryta but can't seem to get the hard mode versions of the ones I have done.

Actually that points out a larger issue. People are still going to be biased to queue up with the "winning" side. This is already an issue with the remaining AB population, many of whom don't care about faction and switch to whomever is favored by the current map. It's a game of chicken to see which players are impatient enough with the wait times to switch to the weaker side, and it's unfortunately going to be biased towards the less serious players that do so, which makes the disadvantaged side even more likely to lose. The ability to switch sides is very much needed but it needs some failsafes to deal with these problems. |
