WORKSHOP IS OPEN!
The Grand Goal of this Workshop is to allow new artists to jump out of the shadows, to learn to give and receive Contructive Criticism,
to enhance the Community Feeling by making a collaborated effort to get a Guru Member amongst the Winners,
and most of all; have a great deal of FUN in the process.
This thread is not going to be focused on winning the Halloween Contest alone.
The Halloween Contest is our superficial carrot, something people will strive for if the goal of progress and growth isn't enough at first.
The most significant purpose of this thread will be to see people make an effort, and to see them grow by doing so.
The Guru Halloween Contest Prizes will aid this cause.
The Deadline for submissions is October 22th, 2011.
There will be 3 stages to this Workshop:
- We all strive to create a Guild Wars Halloween masterpiece of our own, and help others create theirs. - Final feedback given, those who wish to do so will enter the official contest before the deadline has expired. - We hand out Guru prizes independent of the official results, chat a bit and discuss whether we wish to have a Wintersday Workshop as well.
These prizes will be based on donations from everyone who wants to and are able to aid the cause.
Any donation is accepted, from Red Iris Flowers to Ectoplasm.
A panel of judges will be set up eventually, but some Awards will be based on polls too, to include popular opinion.

The Muse Award is given to a person who didn't necessarily enter the thread as an artist, moreover as a supporter of the thread and the goal. He/she is a person who kept the thread alive with kind chatter, maybe donated something to the prizes, gave useful critique, provided inspiration, submitted tutorials and ideas unselfishly, and generally kept us motivated all the way.

The Spirit of Halloween Award will go to the artist that best creates a piece that reflects what Halloween is about. Funny, scary or maybe both! To be eligible for this prize, you must check that you are okay with entering for real-life prizes, as the winner will need to give their address.
More places may be made in every category if more prizes are donated,
Prizes may also raise significantly in value.
More categories may also be made, based on requests. Also, if a particular category does not get enough interest, the prizes may be combined or dispersed to other categories.
