Anyone else just got a perma ban?

Well it no longer matters, the JQ bots are back. It was pretty much all for nothing. The bots are back so I feel like there's only a matter of time before the market spikes again(if it hasn't already).

Yea it's pretty funny how some ppl claimed sending emails and stuff to anet about bots just because the prices were too low for them like zkeys for a big trader. What's happening now ? Zkeys or some "mainstream" stuff are still low because rich ppl are not there to buy it anymore.
Yes ofc some items became more rare but there is nobody to buy it so demand and supply both decreased and annihilate themselves.

i hope 1 of anet will one day finally LOOK what's wrong, and anet, whatever you do, NEVER send your dear GW2 chris here in GW (he is for GW2 anyway), cuz its him who people get angry about, as he just said things on twitter to make fun of (mostly innocently)banned people

this anger i have now, is from someone who never has seen a bot program, and dont use multilaunch or texmod, and plays the game he can, in other words: with my own 2 hands and using the keyboard and mouse as they are intended to be used

and yet, i'm angry at some of you, anet, for letting people suffer, and not even show us that you would warn/punish that chris (shazbawt, wasnt it?) on twitter for doing wrongs and making fun of victims, EVEN innocent ones

also, not only the still-to-be-unbanned people are the ones who should get an apology and an UNBAN, but you also should take care of bots

why cant you as anet ban bots, while i could see without any devcommands or such, who the bots are if i'd stand in an outpost
anet, you can actually see when the same accounts use the EXACT same timing with skills and such, do something with the power you have!!

dont ignore GW, its still going, and even though you made my day.... for 2 weeks (the 10th anniversary in GW), you still P me off the way you do, i bet alot of bots would be gone now, and people could actually do pvp, which is supposed to be player vs PLAYER, not bots

why are innocent people still banned, especially with a special anniversary going on now? and many bots unbanned, and not many new BOT bans, as the pvp areas are filled with them, while so many people want their titles and other rewards, like being high ranked alliances and items and such, by actually PLAYING the game

heck, even once in 2 months a banwave of REAL bots and REAL bad people would be nice, but that can NOT be automated, as a bot cannot see what a bot exactly is, because they update bots all the time, i bet

lets say we'd have a robot-policeforce like that in reallife, and everyone who has the same body form as a wanted criminal, would be thrown into jail, no matter what they say

even if they say stuff, they cant proof it cuz they are seen as guilty already, and since the gouvernment is like anet, they wont go back looking if everything goes well

maybe its overdoing it a bit (or a huge bit), but its the same point being made

i have no idea if anet will ever ban or unban anymore, but at least let them somehow know that its important NOT to ban INNOCENT people

if i could choose, i'd say: leave the bots in GW, but unban the innocently banned people... AT LEAST

and if anet would do that, an apology like extended 10th anniversary would be nice to those people.... or i dunno, 50 ecto or 5 armbraces would be nice too
but AT LEAST let the innocent stay innocent, thats more important than bots being banned, while the people dont get unbans

Response tonight to my pre main acc still being banned was "if you want to know if your GW2 was linked to a gw acc follow this link if you would like to link it follow this link." They really don't have a clue. that told me they didn't even read my request in the ticket lol.

Haven't posted anything in forever but I feel like I may as well here.

4 Accounts have been Terminated (code=045) since around January 19, 2015 and then 3 more in February 19, 2015. 3 of 7 Accounts reinstated in late April but my main Account (49/50 HoM) is still Terminated. ANet abruptly closes the Ticket I filed in January at the same time in which I am given a link to a Survey to rate the Support while in the midst of me asking Question and inquiring about 'Full Report' as to why they feel the need to uphold the Termination.

Never used TexMod, MultiLaunch-type program, Bots, cheats, or hacks. I did however use a Laptop and a PC in order to transfer and organize items around Characters and Accounts. I also ran myself through places since I don't feel like paying/finding a Runner.

A guildmate of mine who has one account and who is painfully honest was banned in the January 15 ban wave, for using 3rd party software, which he vehemently denies. I think he had 12 characters on that account. He does not have a GW2 account so filing a ticket was very tricky. He was, and is, ...um .. bitter. His account was reinstated today. Thought you folks might like to let friends who are still banned know .. that Anet is apparently working through their backlog.

so the only thing to do for banned people, is to not give up, no matter how long it takes

seems anet is still helping..... then again, if they dont, they'll lose people real quick for all their games (which are GW and GW2 now, but could be more in the future), and thats gonna hurt them alot

I'm kind of surprised not everyone has been unbanned. Most of the worst botting and syncing offenders have all been unbanned. Once again there are people walking around kamadan with max hero and codex titles. It was nice while anet cared about gw for like a month.

ok, someone explain how its bad that people have those titles.... i dont do pvp, but having titles obtainable isnt impossible, right? (dunno about hero)

and anet cared about GW? yea, when they decided to unban innocent people, but the fact that botters and such are back, it was 50-50, 1 side was "unban the innocent" the other side unbanned bots and such

Alright I shall.

Hero: About 5 players maxed this title between when GW was released and like 2011-2012 (if I have these years right) by playing HA. Everyone knew who they were because all they did was HA and they were very good at what they did. It took literally like 5 or 6 years to max the HA title. Within the past year, at least 5 or so people have maxed the same HA title (why do you think anet added fame limits to HA per day? ). They didn't max their title by playing other people, they maxed it by battling their own henchmen and reaping the massive fame/zkey/strongbox/chest rewards. All the max 15 hero titles you will see walking around in gw nowadays were synced. Taking advantage of dead HA to gain epeen and money. They were no names until they started syncing. Now they are just infamous.

Codex: When have you ever seen anyone actually play codex? Who plays codex? No one. No one ever played codex. Yet you see people walking around with r8,9,10, and even r12 (max) codex titles. You think they got those titles by playing other people? No one plays codex. They synced their accounts against alts that killed themselves to reap the title point and zkey and strongbox rewards. You don't just accidentally max the codex title. It's 200,000 - TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND - codex points. That takes months or years or syncing.

GvG: Ever wonder how those people have r10+ champ? They are all syncers. Yes, there may be 1 or 2 legit r10+ champ titles (people that have been in gvg since the start of gw - if there are any left), but the vast majority are synced.

RA: Ever wonder who someone maxed their glad title? They took advantage of a glitch - 99% likely.

Skillz: Do you really think anyone played in that many festival games to max this title? 99% bet they took advantage of the same glitch that was in RA.


My point was this:

Many of the people that deliberately took advantage of the system and synced for months/years to max their HA, codex, glad titles were banned in those ban waves. Since the unbanned started, I have seen many of them who I know were banned, now unbanned and flaunting all their synced titles and wealth again.

Now these guilty people are all unbanned, while you innocent people are still trying to get unbanned. Sucks, doesn't it? If only anet cared. Honestly, it would have been more fair to everyone to just say that if you got banned, there was no unban. Because now the people least deserving of the unbans are getting them while the people that deserve them in the first place, aren't.

as for money, they can farm in pve anyway, and some people are so addicted to it, they will get alot of money each day

but i do agree that its unfair to the people who never did anything bad, or maybe once or twice, and were playing the good way for years now, to be banned all of a sudden

but we know that its that dev's autoban machine (program), so if he'd stop showing up in GW (being a GW2 mod), and let someone else ban people manually, instead of a program seeing something that does look like a bot and bans for that reason

i know someone who quit GW cuz he's tired of it (tired of GW), who told me he was banned cuz he was farming tombs, its years ago, but still happened

anyway, i hope to see more people coming back, just encorage people who are banned to keep trying, but not sending too many tickets, as anet is going slower and slower the more tickets they get to solve

the reason i said i dont think its a problem of people abusing thats system, is cuz otherwise it'll be ingame for no reason, and tbh, i dont care if someone else is 1000x richer than i am cuz of that, and the marketing prices in GW are insane..... i mean, armbraces worth around 30e being used to be able to pay 1 item... no thx (unless i get that polar bear myself, lol... but thats just 1 thing anyway)

Surge, I think you would be singing a different tune if you had been one of the innocent folks caught in the ban wave.
I still believe they wish to get everyone to stop playing gw so they can shut it down, but---

anyways, they should really LOOK at who they banned and why, not just a silly program they used that detected users possibly doing something wrong---they should have checked the reports that people have been filing for years about the syncers and botters, not a poorly executed (bot) program! I think then they might have actually banned those how deserved it instead of anyone who just happened to be in the wrong place at the time they implemented their (bot) program. I think we have all reported the syncers in jq/fa as well as the rmt guys (which never got banned during the big ban wave this year). I believe that others have reported the ha/codex syncers as well. READ the reports then they might have actually gotten the right people instead of innocent people. (that would take time and resources, their (bot) program was easier to do in which case they should not have done it at all).
As the game is very old and there are not many people still playing it, I dont think they should be mass banning willy-nilly as they did, UNLESS their aim was to discourage people from playing especially with the uncontestable perma bans. (this has caused many people to not want to play --if you get banned for no reason with no recourse!--MANY people are too afraid to even log in now)
Who knows? YOU could be next for NO reason other than you logged in today.

i doubt that, after seeing they did something for GW after all, maybe their eyes will be open and will see that GW is too populated to make us leave and shut it down

well, as i said before, its stupid to throw GW offline, especially in a stupid way like banning
they wanna MAKE money right? GW gives em money, and is cheap and easy to keep online, plus they'll lose faith if they do it that way, so GW people most likely wont go to GW2 or any anet games in the future

and many GW2 players either stayed in or came back to GW
many GW2 players i saw in GW were like "hmm, this game is much more fun than GW2" and many people didnt like GW2 for long, so came back to GW

plus, doing something good in GW, and then something bad to its players, makes it even more painful for people to handle, making people lose even more faith in anet and their games, if possible

And i do understand that if you get banned for no valid reason and the company turns their back on you, that that is very frustrating and makes it harder giving it closure.

And Anet wont acknowledge because they dont want too change.

and am very pleased they did something for the 10 year birthday--waaaay more than I ever dreamt they would! So I am in no way disappointed with what we got--VERY disssssssappointed with their customer service (and have been since...2008?..when they blinked up the xunlai predictions and changed all the passwords for that to the same as your login----baaaad security then, worse now)

you are (and that comes from someone who had faith in anet as 1 of the few when others said they left GW behind and wont change anything anymore) overestimating anet itself

I agree with that. I for one have no interest in any of Anet/NC's other games or future games because of the ban waves. It's a big incident that reflects poorly on them and makes me have no confidence that I'll be treated like a paying gamer.

Silly Oo just got his main unban. one of the biggest syncers going cause his gf went to Anet office in Seattle lol All while many innocent & less degree of cheaters remain banned. I'm not saying any form of cheating is right cause we all know it isn't but comes to to what's fair & what isn't.

A title does not affect anybody. He can show it off, nobody cares.
You are just jealous of him that he can get things that you will never get because if you could get that title, you would. But you can't. So you are mad.

Arkon, I think what he's trying to express is frustration- obviously c10 takes YEARS and YEARS of WINNING, not just playing, high rated gvg. In 2006ish, a high rated gvg game lasted ~22 minutes depending on the builds being used, and if you take the 3600 wins required to achieve c10 and multiply that by 22, that's 1,320 HOURS of winning gvg alone. There's not many people who can legitimately claim they have won 1,320 hours worth of guild verse guild games since 2005(I can think of 3 or 4 off the bat) and very unlikely any of them play anymore seeing as the pvp community has a handful of vets from 2006ish still playing.

That being said, it's still JUST a title and won't get you much more than through the door in the pvp community. It's such a tight knit circle that if you don't know people chances are you won't be playing for good guilds anyway.

And as for Silly's sake, I think it's an absolute travesty that he and others like him regain their accounts account seeing as he and his group of friends (who actually made that hacked client with the empty RA instances, mind you) made thousands of irl currency off of it.

i don't think theres any legit c10, the highest i know is bloodred and i remember it being c9

Maybe the original poster is simply honest and has integrity and is pissed off at cheaters like most of us are here.

No one gives a flying f**k about those fake titles they stole. They have no value at all. I don't even know anyone who plays PvP. That whole area just seems silly to me.

But what people are upset about is that those idiots helped trigger the bannings that ruined innocent players' accounts. Not everything is just pixels on a screen. They hurt real people in real life and some of those people never got their accounts back while these idiots are parading around with fake title stuff like they did no wrong.

My point is only this: I don't care about sync as long as the title is hidden, that the player keep it for himself and that he did not do wrong to other player while doing it. What I hate above all is someone trying to show off with a title illegally acquired.

The name lays on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember it correctly..

if comparing them to innocently banned people, then yes, but for some title, i dont care

Just incase you missed my point because it;s obvious that some people did. The reason that you should care that these syncers and botters are getting unbanned but innocent people aren't is exactly that. The people who caused the ban waves are getting unbanned, and you people who are innocently banned are still stuck banned.

And to the people saying "I don't care if people sync for titles, etc" look at Silly's new sell thread - that is exactly why you should care. How do you think he got that money? ^ The syncers and botters are the reasons that mini IG, panda, and kanaxai are unnattainable to the average person. They can make money 24/7 syncing. And you can't. That's why they were banned.

Access to my Accounts has been returned but there is still much confusion in how Support handled it. Some GMs wanted to help while others were bent out of shape to have my Accounts remain closed. There was an apology for the inconvenience but no given reason as to what had caused the mass closure of Accounts. Some Friends were given an e-mail or told about an 'Anti-Bot Detection' gone wrong and that TexMod, GWDressup, or MultiLaunch had nothing to do with it.

Some of my Friends' Accounts are still Terminated and after what I had experienced, I think they are just leaving it at that to move on and not going to bother with the Support.

It really seemed like a chance on which GM gets to your Support Ticket first and who works on it. There was little coordination and direction as to how to resolve the Issue especially if it's an Appeal. I think your best bet is to directly talk to the higher-ups through a Personal Message on their Forum if possible when you cannot get a sound solution - I was extremely angry and upset but try to keep your composure.

Hope that this helps and that if anyone is still wronged gets resolved. It took me since January, so if you know you haven't done anything wrong and are extremely patient and persistent, fight for what is right - don't let anyone bully you.

Lars, yes, it seems as if they do not coordinate with other cs members as to what they are doing--which also reflects on the whole cs team (as well as the company).
I am glad you got your accounts back and that others are still getting unbanned. The whole thing was handled extremely badly by anet and I know that it has left a very bad impression on many people --some who own both or either game--as to making additional purchases from them.
