Think only in the wee small hours (usa time) of the early early am do I see less than 500+ online here with about 30-90 logged in....unlike guru2 which will only have about 3 users and 400+ guests online---and I know who some of those 'guests' are
been like that for some time....always more folks logged in here than there....(should have shut down 2 instead

(with well over 200 moderators I will just mention a few who have greatly impacted me):

Also I wanted to say thanks so all my Guru friends, so many of which have since become FB friends or close ingame buddies. I have met so many wonderful people and personalities here on www.guildwarsguru.com over the years, & no one can ever take that away from me .

Thank you for the wonderful time that has allowed me and many others making new friends, gather knowledge, meet new people, having fun, having sad times, talking about our everyday lives, bringing out the best (or worst) in people, the contests, the artworks, the theorycrafting, understanding the Lore, the insane amount of items that has come and go (and to look at in awe!).
If it wasen't for this website, I just wouldn't be the person I am today in this game.
This site has allowed my creativity to be displayed for those that deemed to have use for it, and 52,000 views, and many many positive comments later makes me content with the idea that all the hours i'v put in was all worth it.
The times pleikki's collection thread inspired me and many others to become Collector's, wanting too invest their time seeking out their personal gems, bringing people closer toghether to achieve each his personal goal, in a collaborated quest for personal satisfaction, friendships, and respect to those that know how much effort it took for them to get there.
Since my actual introduction to this site was very recent, i'd want to thank you Cosyfiep for being such a good person whom I often enough poked the stick into being the little brat I was, but you have done an amazing job keeping with Marty and the fellow remaining admins this place, this community toghether till the very last day dawns in ascalon..

"Brandy is ideally drunk at room temperature from a tulip glass. Don't refrigerate the opened bottle, and make sure to keep the bottle out of direct sunlight. An opened bottle will stay good for 8-12 months."

I missed a few years being out of the country from 2011-2014, I missed the first year or two the game was around being too caught up in Tyria to look at forums, and then probably another year just lurking. But since I started lurking here nearly 10 years ago GW guru has been near the heart of my love for Guild Wars.
This was an incredible site for an incredible game, and I hope the archived version of it never goes away. I'm not a known name around here, but to all of you that feel the same way about this place and have been a part of it over the years, thank you.
In a strange but meaningful way all of you, from your avatars to your names and on to your posts regardless of their quality or content, made up something really beautiful.

As this era draws to a sad close, I want to say a huge thanks to the moderators and admins who have kept this site running voluntarily for 11 years. Guru has been a rich community, and I am proud to be a part of it.
The community here should live on elsewhere, we should not just drift apart. I'm not here to plug alternatives, that would be disrespectful. But there are alternatives that are already operational. I hope to see you all there.
I have met some great people on here, and made some great friendships. This place wil always live on in my heart. It has been a huge part of my life for years, and my Guildwars experience would have been far paler without it. Thanks Guildwarsguru. It has been emotional.

I found my longest serving Guild via this forum which turned out to be the best times in Guild Wars. Friends that I still know outside of the game as our lives have moved on.
Thanks to the Admins and Mods for the maintenance and for having me along in Ventaris it was an pleasure to help out with duties there.
The biggest thanks goes to the community for keeping this forum going with your contributions and discussions. Without which things would never have got to where we are now.

Farewell guruland! Many frustrating days and nights spent on here as a super-mod but I don't think I would have done anything differently.
Although I fell off the planet a few years ago I still popped back in to abuse Snograt and keep tabs on how many babies Ghengis Kwell has fathered.
