The Forge Runner

Guess who is surfing memories tonight......Sup party peeps.
Is this still useful?
Also if I should edit my sticky with any new "must have" post links please let me know in that thread.
Hope all is well and I also hope this is still a useful thread to knew and old runners alike. I have not even seen chapter 2 and probably will not. Just too much RL for now.
Peace....Oreos, Sk8, and Mistical (others that know who they are) I hope all is well and you are still kicking the crap out of this game....

This is still a very useful guide, sadly it is still one of the more challenging runs.
There are very little places to run in cantha.

Bloodied Blade
Cantha running just sucks...there's like 1 run you can do and it's Marketplace to Kaineng City...and that's easy to run at level 1 (and some quests take you there). I hate the gate system...what's the point of nerfing farming and running if people don't pay a subscription fee *anyway*?
Sk8tborderx
Personally I think the locked gates are the dumbest idea ever.
I have not even beat the game with my warrior yet, and I am not even going to worry about taking my necro out of tyria, I enjoy farming, not doing quests several times, or doing the story line more than once.

Can a moderator please sticky this? Not only because its a very commonly asked for build, but because this is the epitome of online build posting, and should stand as a symbol for excellence.

Just an FYI it is already part of a sticky....the one with all of the links.
Thanks for the comment.

Yeah, this guide is great. I spent the whole weekend getting prepared for a Droks run. Made on my 3rd attempt.
Just a FYI for people looking for more energy, I came across a no req, purple wand, that was 4^50, and I added a +5 energy mod to it. Plus I added a fortitude wrapping.
There are also a slew of +5 enegry weapons coming out of factions these days.
I also found a +5 energy shield, which is great with my wand. If you still have 50% of your health, you just got 14 more energy.
With this set up, I made it on my first attempt with normal droks running armor. I followed the whole guide word for word, and with this new set up I no longer need gladiator equip, so I get my extra 10 armor back.

I was happy to see that Citadel Runner made this public. I used to belong to LBS and I learned this trick shortly after he discovered it. Just an FYI...while this trick may not help the experianced runners it just goes to show that great guilds have knowlege that you cannot gain by just playing and reading boards. If you do not have an awesome guild you should get one.
P.S. I am not writing a guide on finding and joining a great guild like LBS.
P.P.S. I have added the following quote to the guide found in post 1 of this thread.

Hello everyone!
For those of you who don’t know me, my most common in game name is Sir Craig Gordon. I am an officer of LBS, (Lady Blue Steels Running Academy). Our guild is still here but unfortunately we are no longer taking new members.
Many of you know about our old thread, the LBSRA thread which is now closed.
Some of our most closely guarded running tricks and strategies were developed by me personally. I have decided to post one of these in particular as a gift to all of the Guild Wars community. I will also post the video showing exactly how it works. The name of this trick is THE LORNARS WORM TRICK #1. I have decided to post this one in particular for several reasons.
1. It was discovered and developed by me personally
2. It deals with Droknars Run, the most popular run in the guild wars game.
3. To prove that LBS has a lot more up their sleeves than a simple running build.
4. The fear that someone else will discover it and post it anyway.
5. The fact that many very experienced runners don't really need it anyway. It is more of a trick to get around a problem that many times is simply impossible to negotiate. It is the perfect solution for beginning and practicing runners, and for expert runners that simply don’t want to deal with a “horrible” spawn.
6. The fact that it has one great disadvantage to it. And that disadvantage is that you need to intentionally die one time to get it to work consistently.
7. You may ask “But won’t this cause even more totally unqualified runners claiming they can make it to Droknar’s”? Nah. It won’t last long. Shortly after this posting, Arenanet will undoubtedly step in and do their dirty work. Nerf city.
The Lornars Worm Trick # 1 is a solution to get through the single hardest part of the entire Droknars run. This is the first Frost Wurm area in Lornars Pass heading up into the Avicara corridor. While no runner can negotiate this part of the run 100% of the time, this trick allows you to CONSISTENTLY get through this area easily regardless of spawn type! How? It completely removes all Frost Wurms from the area! They are gone! Totally gone! And, if they are gone, that also means there is no chance of a chaser spawn to follow you all the way to the first troll cave.
Check the video out here. Lornars Worm Trick #1. Make sure you right click and "Save Target As...". It’s too big to stream directly. I think that even expert runners will enjoy this video.
Thanks, good luck, and happy running!

Way too huge of a flaw, most "runees" will indeed not like the fact that the runner dies. Also requires a CANDY CANE!!!!! -- THAT'S 1K RIGHT THERE!!! so now you are only making 9k on the run plus tips.
other than that
Lovely trick, I recommend the watch....
and wtf to that build? it's got huge flaws to me... I think maybe he has another, and he was just hiding his REAL build, because the one he uses lacks condition removal, he could run into a barbed trap shortly after using COP, which is just too complicated to recast all the enchants.
Also, the second I saw "Worm Trick", I knew exactly what was going to happen. Dying? I didn't predict that.

The only thing I have a problem with is endure pain as when it runs out and you are low on health you may die.
Bloodied Blade
Is this run possible in Platemail armor and a Denravi Helm since armor (other than shield) no longer grants global damage reduction in regards to armor that formerly gave -X dmg when struck?

You could do it I even seen ppl run in Knights after Nerf with Kights and Plate you won't have the energy that Glads has.You could use a really good focus item to augment that.
Sk8tborderx
I am posting this build because now every time I do a Droks run now I am always getting tons of PM's asking how I can make the run with a W/MO. (for some reason people think warriors cannot make the run anymore)
