man im so confused i wish i had stayed till the last 5 minutes man... so im guessing that gwen appeared and started murdering everyone in the towns and they couldnt do nething to stop it? tight man i so wish i coulda stayed im trying to download one of the videos u guys put on the site , but so far only 4% done within 10 minutes.. so i think this is gona take alone hefty time

Man i wish there was a real in game gw recording thing sorta like screen shots, but recording it would be sick, but i dont know how to or know how to actually make a video using an internet downloaded program so well ill never make a video... 19 % done buffering =) im almost 1/5 there

Gwen is a NPC that is in the "Tutorial" area, basically at the end of the last beta event she went to all the towns and killed all of us

Here's my story of how the March BWE went, wow she really did go psycho...
My bf and I were playing past Ft. Ranik, we had just finished the mission, and went on a Quest in the wilderness, I watched the clock expecting at three the game to shut down. I'm in the EST time zone so thats when it would end for us. Three O'clock came around and we decided to finish the quest, which we did, but when we got back to the nearest town, the small outpost there [Wow I forget the name I'm so horrible!], before the screen could even load fully there was a rumble and suddenly we were just dead without any word.
All it said was "Thank you for playing guild wars" and Gwen skipped by my dead body, my bf was to the right of me, oh wow I wish I had screenshots of that.
It was exactly 3:07am when we went back to the town, then at about 3:10am the game froze, meaning the server was cut off completely I suppose.
It was still awesome, and completely unexpected...
I wonder if Gwen will be there for future maintenance reasons... a good way to kill off everyone and force us to quit?
By the way, what is the Ripped Tapestry she gives you for? She gave it to me and it said it was a quest Item, but I never could figure it out by the end...
Also, what does that one guy want for his daughter? I had the feather, the pearl, I forget what else, but she wouldn't take any of it. Or rather I gave it to her but got no experience. My BF tried giving the guy the feather, the pearl, etc etc, and he wouldn't take it.

The origanal link still works for me. It will ask about a japanese langauge pack, you can just click cancel.

I've only been playing for about 3 months but have downloaded numerous Guild Wars videos that I've found on forums and I've always wondered about a few things.
1. How come Gwen was in Lion's Arch and some other places?
2. How come spells could be cast in towns?
3. Why was everybody dying when it looked like there was nothing to fight?
This thread explained it all but raised another.
That part where Gwen pops up from the ground, was it just perfect timing or what?
One guy goes "wtf?" so I assume it wasn't planned.
And Gwen even says "Thriller dancers, time to die".
Did everybody just die at the end of BWE at the hands of Gwen?

Everyone died like that...those that didn't manage to escape into a mission or something. Supposedly you could warp to a different town and be rezz'd automatically...just to meet another fiery death, lol.

Based on the screenies, it'd be a character's name followed by time to die.

I wish there's something in store for us who weren't there during beta.
Halloween for example, and all the other holidays.
Problem is, Halloween falls on the 31st of October, how would they calculate the time difference?
Its easier to hit for an event, for example the end of BWE.
When I hit Halloween here in Melbourne (GMT-8:00), it'd be a good 18 hours before America (PST) hits 31st October.
Unless Halloween in Tyria lasts for more than 24 hours
