Well green had some cool stuff... I still liked Urza Block's blue cards the best though. Favorite storyline as well.
Though really, M:tG green has no representation in GW... alot of it is creature boosting, and those are pretty scattered. Actually the most green spell I've seen is Chimera Of Intensity (can you say Overrun?). The ranger doesn't really encompass it... but the Ritualist looks like it might.
You still should have played blue

Control decks ftw.
Still, I feel like we have strayed off-topic a bit. . .

Blue ftw!
Oddly enough (or perhaps not), I started GW as a Me/E, and out of all the guilds from Ravnica block, Izzet (although maybe Simic) is the one I most identify with, and enjoy. I think Izzet and is probably most similiar to Me/E
I think that (some of) the people who most enjoy Me are the players most prone to developing new builds, and tweaking them to "perfection" (as close as you can get in GW anyways). As well, the players who enjoy crunching numbers to optimize things are (I think) likely to fall into this category as well. This is the same thing that I enjoy in M:tG, go figure.

Blue/Green Terravore FTW! Non-conformity FTW!
Golgari is quite fun, though.
Although I'm playing UBw control right now.
It's probably not co-incidence that most good Mezzes are MtG players.
However, both in M:tG and in GW, I spend 99.8% creating builds and figuring how to play, and .2% playing. o_O

I used to play a Cephalid deck. Aboshan kthx. Can't fight rushing decks but invulnerable vs everything else.
Whaat, it was fun

My decks always ended up being based around certain ideals.
My favorite decks are based on the Decrees of Karona cards. Decree of Pain being my favorite.
The Blue one, Decree of Silence, I turned that card into a stalemate game over card. If you guys are interested in continuing this M:tg disscussion, I have my decks posted on Anycraze still.

Bah, you guys suck. Blue/Black milling FTW! Of course, I don't pack any Millstones, only Glimpses. Right now I'm experimenting with a W/B control deck.

Off topic: Anyone know a good teal or light jade dye mix for courtly armor.
13 Mar 2006 at 15:44 - 129
Come on, we're all off topic anyways.
Traumatize + Terravore FTW! I usually kill in 6 turns, since they think that guy who's using a random Terravore in this "ultimatt n00bz0rz x10000" U/G deck is useless. Then traumatize comes into play. Those were fun times.
Anyone want my decklist, since I've stopped using that deck in favor for a Fallen Angel deck.

Had a funny experience with my mesmer yesterday. Was out with a PUG and noticed that a couple of warriors were pounding on a Dolnyk Master without much luck--it was still at almost full health. Focused on the dolnyk and took it down very quickly. One of the warriors said, "WTF happened? What killed it?" LOL. Guess he'd never been out with a (decent) mesmer.
So there are definitely players who don't understand or appreciate what a mesmer can do.
15 Mar 2006 at 17:16 - 132
From the sounds of the guy didn't know what a mesmer was. Don't you just feel loved. xD
I can't wait till factions. New armor here I come.

We were on topic again, until you came along like a rogue comet and sent us spinning off again

Bwahahaha. So... what did you use to kill it?

Today was strange. I went into a mission with a group of idiots because I was bored. When we got their the elementalist ran into a large group of monsters and the warriors stood back like they we're the ones who needed protection. Next thing I know the warriors are dead and they are saying "REZ ME STUPID MONK" they were speaking to me. I literally told them "Sorry I can't ressurect you. Your corpse has been used by a necro. Got to wait 10 minutes. And starting again won't work you'll die as soon as you enter the mission again." These guys actually fell for it. And being the cheaky little mesmer I am. I river danced on their heads. And then one of them said red engine. Which brings me to the point of this post. What does red engine mean? *Watches people fall backwards off seats*

Nothing fancy. Empathy, Wastrel's, and a couple of well-timed interrupts (one doing major damage--forget the name--Power something).

I believe that on this forum, at least, it's used as a substitute for the f-word. As far as idiots go, I attempted Thunderhead Keep for the first time last night. What an experience--I needed valium afterwards. Tried twice with the first PUG--useless, with rushing warriors and players who don't know when to run away. I can't tell you how many times I was the only one left standing. Thank god for rebirth. Wish I'd river danced on their heads for a while first. Might have relieved some of the tension.
On top of that, we had two monks who apparently didn't realize that the eight pictures at the bottom of their screen are skills they can use. We noticed that one remained at the start of the mission. Some of the others started swearing at him--he claimed he was healing us from where he was standing, which was off the mini-map relative to where we all were. Um, sure. Didn't end well.
Second PUG was better, but again, some warriors aggroed too much. Went back to town, dumped the warriors, picked up a few new players, took the two monk henchies, and completed the mission.
Lesson learned: The monk henchies rock!
That's my mesmer story for today. I've currently got a warrior in pre. She'll never aggro...she plans to hench as much as possible, too.

I remember my first time doing thunderhead. The monks we're idiots for the most part. Hello stupid stupid warriors and monks. You can't beat a mursaat spellcaster easily when the mesmers dead. Not forgetting the hords of jade armors around them. When they did res me I ran of the sat somewhere nice. They had no idea where I went. lol One key rules. "Never piss of the mesmer."

I remember one trip I took into THead with a PUG and henchie monks. One of our players got booted right off the bat, so we went back to get him, by suiciding. We triggered the boss pack after the first bridge, and I proceeded to Riverdance until I died... it took us quite a while to die though, Mhenlo was so good. He'd keep healing us, and ressing us. It was quite funny to see all the enemies around us, and our health only dropping slowly. Too bad that was the one time we actually wanted him to stop!
