Okay, long story short, and I can elaborate if needed, I preordered Factions at a gamestop but never got the preorder package. I'd really like to be in the headstart event, as that's why I preordered in the first place, So I'm curious if there are other ways to obtain that key. I've been told if I just go down and get it at bestbuy instead I get a free shirt also, and then I could just not get the one I preordered at gamestop. However, someone else mentioned that they'll e-mail the key, which seems like the simplest solution as most of that stuff in the preodrer package is useless for me anyway (the prophesies demo, etc.)

So... I don't know if they'll e-mail that or not, or if I should just go down to best buy. Opinions?

Call 1-800-883-8895 (EBGames/Gamestop) and press two and explain your situation. I've been hearing that they will read you a key as well as e-mail. So yeah, try that.

I think pretty much all preorder packages have already been bought. If you're not sure whether or not Gamestop is gonna email you your key, call em up and rag em until they 100% confirm that you're gettin your key.

Well there’s your problem, I don’t know if you can delete that new account. You can only use the pre-order key one time on one account.

It's the CE (Collector's Edition) that many places won't have. You shouldn't have trouble buying the standard game.

Someone did post some time back (sorry, don't have a link atm) that they did the same. They talked to support and got the new account deleted and were emailed a new preorder key.

Don't know if you can do that this close to release, but maybe worth a try.

Edit:Or, if you have a store nearby that still has preorders, you could just pick up a preorder box for the deposit and use that key.

12am 29th PST is when the Head Start ends, then you need to add the retail.

I guess I just waited for my preorder to come in the mail for too long. I just called their 1-800 number, and yeah, they're completely out of preorder keys. Now why would Anet only give them a limited number of keys that obviously != the number of preorders available? This is BS. It was advertised that if I preordered GW Factions, I'd get a 'bonus' that allowed me to play it 24 hours before release. Since they can't get it to me in time, that is false advertising.

I called around to nearby Target and Gamestop/EBGames, none of which have any more Preorder boxes. Seems like a shortage to me. Now my wife and I can't play until god knows when, and these days I got off work are completely wasted. Whatever.

Does the Pre Order acess key that you get with your GWF: Pre Order unlock both the items AND the 24 hour preview/head start? In other words, is there only ONE acess key for the items and ONE for the headstart event? Or are they both contained in the same acess key? Because as of right now; the account screen says I only activated the two items. I could not find another code just for the 24 hour event. Just asking. Thanks alot.

I got the exact same problem with Best Buy. I pre-ordered it and when no pre-prder key was mailed to me or e-mailed i called them and they are so clueless its sad, they didnt have any idea what i was talking about. all they could say was that complete packege will be shipped on the 27th, a lot of good that does me if the pre order key is in the friggin box, and they were pretty rude about it as well.

Question.

I got my preorder disc a few weeks before they added the new UI at the log in screen allowing you to add access keys to an existing account. I attempted to use the Factions Preorder key with my existing email address and it would not let me. Therefore, I had to add a second email address, separate from my Prophecies email account in order to play Factions. Now, I can not link my preorder key to my existing account because of the two conflicting email addresses. Am I out of luck here, or is there anyway I can merge the two accounts now?

Any help would be appreciated.

Dela, you are probably out of luck, unless you find another pre-order key. There is no way to merge accounts, AFAIK.

Ok, Im really pissed right now, I just got back from eb, having ordered it on the 13th, and I went back to get the pre order package, which was today(earliest time I could do it) they told me the head start was only for people who pre-ordered the ce... Was I misinformed?

I gotta say, this is kinda ridiculous.

My sis ordered her and myself a copy of GW:F CE as soon as it was possible to pre-order them. We've been talking about this for weeks. And because of Anet and NCSoft underestimating the demand, those of us who already spent $100+ pre-ordering the CE are being screwed. And I don't even mean because I don't have the pretty box and all that hooey, but because they have no idea what they're doing, or know exactly when the CEs will be released, so we're basically playing Factions on borrowed time. Ten days to be exact, which I think is absolutely wrong.

On GW's website, it said they're manufacturing more CEs, and they have an estimated shipping date of JUNE 30th. Sis said that ours should ship on May 4th. Who do we believe? Why doesn't anyone have the same information at the same time so we're not all guessing? Why doesn't GW make an announcement on their website about those that have already pre-ordered, and those who now want the CE, and the availability of the game for each of those aforementioned groups?

This is all giving me a serious migraine.

Just got my order of Factions Full Version from EBGames. I did overnight shipping and I got my order of Factions and my strategy guide. I know there were alot of people that ordered from EBGames so I wanted to give them hope.

Hmm. That's very lucky of you Lalita. I know a friend of mine who Pre-Ordered the Standard Edition since the start of April, and still no news...

I guess it depends on where you live? If there is high demand, it would run out fast. If there is low or no demand, they tend to ship it to the few customers they have.

What i want to know is why they aren't just sending the activation keycards to us who pre-ordered CE, and are being told we'll have to wait.
Instead of making us wait for them to put together enough CE boxes, why haven't they said they'll send customers buying CE the plastic card, and the rest of the CE set will come when it's all ready.

Totally going out on a limb here...but maybe it was because I paid for the overnight service?

Also on their tracking website it shows that they mailed out the complimentary pre-order, but not the standard edition yet. Odd, because I got the standard edition but no pre-order.

I picked one up in the store as well. But.... its not pre-order so the key doesn't appear to work until tomorrow. Is anyone else have this issue who have the non pre-order retail box?
