I called my Gamestop to see if they were going to have Factions a day early (tommorow) The lady I talked to said that they didn't and they could get sued for selling it early, however she said to check in the pre order deal I got. Can someone explain how I will get the jump start?

I preordered Factions over a month and a half ago, and I stil haven't gotten my preorder package
I called to check on my preorder package, and they told me they probably aren't going to get anymore.
I mean, what the hell? I've been waiting 1.5 months for it. And they STILL aren't going to give me my preorder package.
Not only do I not get my two unique weapons, I don't get in on the Tengu Masks.
WTF. EBgames is a completely unreliable chain.
And this isn't the first time I've had problems with them either (hence the title "so many times")
I've tried buying several games for PSP at (3 different) EBgames stores, and they never have them in stock when they're supposed to. I waited 3-5 days after the release, and they STILL didn't have it. In the end, I went to some random independantly owned game store, bought the game (which they had in stock since day 1) for 10$ less than it would have cost to buy the game at EB (after another 4 day wait)
I'm in Toronto, ON., Canada.
Anyone know where I can get a preorder package? (Or is anyone willing to get an extra one for me and give me the keys... I really want to be in the Day of the Tengu)

Yeah, my Retail is going to get to me before my pre-order. Turns out that even though I got free overnight for my retail, EBGames thought it would be funny to send my pre-order on a 5-10 day shipping method... Just go around stores that also sell games and you may find a pre-order for $1. I just went to Target (I don't know if you have those in Canada) and found the last copy there, waiting for me.

The answer for the headstart is the preoder key.
You should have already received a CD in the mail about a month ago that had a CD and a couple booklets in it. One of the booklets contained a key that got you your preorder items. This key also lets you into the headstart. By the time the headstart is over you should have your retail box in hand and can use the new key that came with that.
The problem is with the CE being delayed. I called EB today and they told me that they indeed haven't shipped my regular preorder, but it should be at my house on friday (because that is street date and I selected overnight shipping). They are shipping it tomorrow.
If you used two day shipping, my guy told me they are probably shipping it today so that it arrives to you on Friday.
The main thing they are wanting to avoid is people getting it early because they can get in a lot of trouble and fines for doing so. So timing through mail is sometimes problematic.

i didnt preorder factions, and i was just wondering if i have a chance of getting it or not there are pleanty of stores here to check walmart,EB,Gamestop,Best Buy,Target, and K-mart. any ways just let me know if i have a chance or not i dont know if some of these stores willl be getting it on the realease date or if Game stop and EB have reserved all them out in most cities,thanks.

I wrote them an angry letter, where I was ranting about how it is ridiculous to send the pre-order disk after the 28th.
Amazingly, they replied, saying that they will upgrade my shipping to a faster method and send me the pre-order disk right away.
Again, amazingly, I got the disk 1 day later, which is today Apr 26th.
The actual Factions game, according to them, is set to arrive on May 11th.
Thry told me however that they will ship it, as soon as it becomes avalable. Which should be on Apr 28th. I think... I sure hope I'll get the game before the stupid 10 day period set by Anet...

Yes, they will be everywhere on the release date and there will be enough. Don't worry, the current problems you hear from people are just pre-order mess, which is rediculous.

So, what's the difference between the Head Start lockout and the 10 day Grace Period? IF you use the bonus slots for PvP or Prophecy characters, the Bonus Slots will still be locked after 10 days. That's how I interpret it anyway.

I missed the 39.99 price, instead I ordered about two weeks ago from Amazon.com at $44.99 with the preorder package for free. I received the preorder package last Saturday and Factions was shipped yesterday, I expect to receive it tomorrow, one day earlier than the actual release date. I'm pretty satisfied with Amazon.com.

this is not correct.i received my GW retail box on the 26th.
since it has to have the servers go live to work it does not matter how early you get it.
