I hate that mission so much.... even if it is easy, it's annoying having to go through those spiders.

Every quest i had to redo, because the hench got the quest item drop(royal papers, war machine plans, that ele quest near piken,..). ty Anet for fixing them
Also annoying were all the incomplete quests shortly after release (Althea's Ashes in Regent Valley, Fire Island bonus missions).

Has to be 'The Elementalists Path,' where the bloody monster you're supposed to kill grows restless and decides to go for a jog. I neglected to bring a speed buff for the quest, so all i could do was shamble after the cretin, shaking my fist, until I'd degen to death from some conveniently placed Devourer traps. Unfortunately, Anet has fixed the quest so that the Boss stays at his marker, depriving a new generation of GW players from a thrilling adventure.
Oh,and honourable mention goes to that 'Last Hog' quest. Seriously, what were they thinking..

Villany of Galrath.
Bonus for Dunes of Despair.
I have to disagree, I loved Villany of Galrath. First time I did it, I ran up to Galrath by mistake and when I looked back it was a full out battle between the bandits and Vereta's men, pretty sweet.

I'd say blood and smoke, although the last time I did it I ran myself through it pretty quickly.

All the quests are pretty annoying after doing them 4 or so times, which is why I've stopped doing any PvE until Factions comes out.

There are only a couple that I really groan about having to do. I always liked the one with the pig. At least it was something different than mindless slaughter (not that there's anything wrong with that...)

The one I really hate? Frontier Gate Fugitives. Long, annoying, boring. The second guy is SO far from where you get the quest... and you have to wander through Pockmark Flats. Is there a more annoying area than Pockmark Flats?? *shakes her fist at Pockmark Flats*

Good thread idea

I hated Blood and Smoke until I did it with my minion master necro. Death Nova and Taste of Death... those Spiders never stood a chance.

I hate doing Helping the Dwarves, so boring, and it's not worth it it, in my opinion.

I'll agree with Frontier Gate Fugitives too, just so that I don't fail the mission, I clear the path back to the city so that the guy who agrees to go back, doesn't aggro everything, and if you give him a chance he becomes a wonderful aggro magnet.

Red Cloaked Deserter is boring too, no matter where you start, it's always far away.

I concur. This has to be the worst (especially if you try at low levels) because the guy you escort is an aggro idiot.

Frontier Gate Fugitives is by far the most annoying. In general most of the Ascalon quests are very annoying. Unfortunately they also provide a bunch of useful skills, so you are forced to do them.

It's kinda funny, me and my wife just did "Blood and Smoke" earlier this evening (kinda new and was first time doing quest). Thing is, other than "Villany of Galrath" (my vote for the toughest quest so far), it's the highest XP quest up to that point. So we were going into it just knowing there was either gonna be HUGE amounts of mobs, some really tough bosses, or a long annoying trek. Turned out to be the long trek, so we were pretty prepared.

It's kinda annoying, but for 2,500 xp, worth it, I think. The "Helping the Dwarves" quest so far wins my vote, simply because we had no idea that one was going to be that annoying.

That one bonus where you guide the hog back to it's owner was kinda annoying, but fun. Trying not to die to hordes of Ettins while keeping the bugger on the path was actually hilarious.

lol Lost Hog, Frontier Gate Fugitives, and Helping the dwarves triple quest.

Blood and Smoke is easy if you kill the guy on the way down.

1 being the most annoying and five being a little less than tolerable:

1. helping the dwarves. i hate minaar and whoever else dwarves out there.
2. frontier gate fugitives. why pockmark? why would any sane fugitive go there.
3. Little Thom's cloak quest. i hate going from ascalon to the estate.
4. murder at teh hot springs. ooomg...go back and forth after talkin to 4 npc.
5. Nolani. i hate nolani.

Blood and Smoke, if done the normal way. Just those darn spiders that pop out every three feet. Ugh....

And there was nothing wrong with Family Ties. It gave you that warm feeling inside...

Mom & Dad: "We love you, son."
Toby: "I love you, too."
*Mom & Dad disappear*

Yea yea it wasn't that dramatic but you get the point.

lol Nolani strange thing happened when I was doing it with my monk. Someone opened the front gate. Now given we were all lvl10 and 11 we should have died. But we didn't finished the mission in record time Couldn't do the bonus though. We did try but we had the first cut scene just as we reached and collected the book, and the second one just as we were fighting to put it back - yes Rurik made his way to the horn all on his own

I don't mind the long quests, I mind that the only reason that one is long is because you have to only go through the portal to talk to the guy. And then fight the exact same stuff over again. It is only long because it is stupidly repetitive.

I like Villany. It is one of the harder quests, but it is a challenge all the way through and you don't have to fight the same thing over and over, just to talk to one guy and get an update.

I used to really dread Ascalon Settlement quests because of all the tengu. Now I just take the alternate route and have no problems at all. A nice little jog, kill some ettins along the way and be done with it.

Villany = easy. Take a necro who has consume corpse, or necrotic traversal. Galrath can actually be soloed so all you need to do is kill one of the guys that stand too close the the edge of the cliff, necro teleports up and takes care of the rest of them Simple!

Helping the dwarves. <- only done this on 1/3 char cause I can't set myself to it again.
Wayward Wizard in pre, but this is because you have to find Orion. Just let him be lost already.
