all in all not a bad update, although I am still waiting for the one that includes the new mesmer armors

Dominator's Mask

Domination +1 (stacking)
Decreases recharge of domination skills by 20%

Increases the duration of illusion magic hexes by 300%

If you don't have a good sound card, turn quality down a bit until it's back like it used to be.

That sound quality slider does absolutely nothing for me. I've turned it up, turned it down, and i'm still getting really distorted sound, it sounds like it can only play a single sound at a time or something because sound effects keep getting cut off in the middle.

Just updated my sound card drivers, makes no difference.

For those of you complaining that the audio update is slowing down your pc's performance you must have onboard sound or something. Adding DirectX 3D sound hardware acceleration speeds things up if anything because it takes the load off the processor when your sound card supports it. I haven't messed with the slider but I recommend leaving it on the default until someone does some detailed testing. Everything is working great with my Audigy 2 ZS. Also, the download wasn't that bad. It was about 20 MB at the login screen then another 10 or so before I could enter Droks. Obviously it is doing more in the background but that doesn't prevent you from playing.

It was crazy, around 1:30 AM this morning... after the big update, we realized that EVERY skill we'd unlocked was available at every single skill vendor. Right about the time I noticed that, "A new build of Guild Wars is available" hehe. Glad they caught that one in a hurry :-)

They didn't change it back. It was completely intentional. Today they even added it to the update notes on GW.com.

So the update has downloaded and is installed. Now my charecter who i have just raised to lvl 19 and just bought new armor....... oh must i also say i got 2 rare drops in less that 15 minutes ( 2 black dye ) and...........after playing this charecter since christmas, now i am informed my account has been banned for 24 hours because my name is offensive. Can someone tell me ,was this game developed by adults for adults? Rated T for teen ( violence ). Now, i am sure that NCSOFT is not run by the religious right, so..................... can anyone explain, or try to explain............why this is happening? oh, just FYI Cat Poop is my chars name. so its offensive? Well isint it offensive, and degrading having charecters disrobe to their underwear and start dancing? Whats next, Will they ban you for doing that? Oh i forgot, thats ok because they thought of it................ If i lose what i worked so hard for, i will boycott factions, and i am sure i am not the only one going thru this problem after the moralistic update today......... please tell me if i am wrong. I play with just 1 friend i have met ingame and we do most missions by ourself. Am i wrong here? Over 400 hours logged playing to date.

I do believe that prior suspending your account for 24 hours, Anet gives you the chance to rename your character.

I do agree that Arenanet has a weird sense of what's offensive though. For example the word Sex is disallowed, but somehow Erotic is ok. Go ahead, try naming your pet that...

This is killing me too, GW has run at a solid 5-10 FPS since this update and it's not playable for me. If they don't do something about this I'm going to have to buy a sound card :/

I agree with the warning/banning for offensive names. There are a lot of kids who play this game which is quite obvious if you've played it a while. There is a chat filter to but that can be disabled so you can't complain too much, be happy they have the option. It's not like they want to add a filter that covers up offensive names to
