asdar
I love the 666 ref DCXVI.
My first name is Asdar from back at the start of EQ. I didn't know what I was going to use for a name, I had my last name already but not the first. I accidentally bumped my left hand on the keyboard, if you type you'll notice ASD are the base position on left hand, well the bump went Asdar, even had the caps somehow.
It seemed like fate and I've had the name ever since. The other reason I went with it was because I was a healer and I was thinking of my last name before my first. My last name is Aspirinicillin which comes from Aspirin and Penicillin two of the wonder drugs of the 20th century.
Voila, Asdar Asprinicillin
Well met everyone

Madjik
Valmythra Pyne, Maevillan Quickseht, Adelissa Signe and Maevil Necris.
Dont mean a thing. Randomly put them together one day many many moons ago and started using 'em in all my games. If you've ever seen one of the above names in any game, that was most likely me.

Mr. Matt
Um. I have several characters, most of their names being based upon characters I already created in short stories. No significant meaning in any of them, really.

C-Tzar
Jennis Idol (genocidal): E/Mo or E/N depending on mood.
Sensei Shanull (sensational): W/E
Imac Oolgai (I'm a cool guy): Mo/Me (ripped my friend off for this one just because I liked it, and this name was around before apple ever made an Imac)
Mark Twang: R/Mo Obvious rip of a famous author. Both the first and last name have archer overtones.
Pollo Loco (my ranger's pet): Means "Crazy Chicken" in Spanish. Ripped the name from an crappy Mexican restaurant I ate at once as a kid in Houston. The name just seemed so fitting for my giant insane chicken friend.
C-Tzar: Has been my handle for years. I'm the "Tzar" (ruler) of "C" (the programming language). I'm a programmer; it's an ego thing. The fact that it sounds much like the way Americans erroneously believe Caesar is pronounced is just bonus.

Keesa
How is Caesar pronounced then? (my name was randomly generated three games ago and it fits the criteria for "tells"--short, easy to spell so I kept it)
Than
Owen Devs-Came to me when I miss read one of the Anet updates. They were talking about a sign up for a PvP match called "Own the Devs" or some such.
I think I was kinda tired.
Than Sa-A Burmese name, the surname(in Burmese the first name, Than) is from a ruling member of the Junta. The first name(In Burmese this comes second, Sa) is from one of the reble leaders. Burma is one of my pet interests. I don't really know why.

Swampgirl Inez
A little bit of a story...
My husband and I play a family of characters. In another MMO (SWG), he played a bothan, the dog-like race. I was a human named Swampgirl Inez.
Swampgirl = I was born and raised in South Louisiana
Inez = my middle name
When creating our characters for GW, we kept the names, but we wanted to pay homage to our cute Bothan puppy characters. I took on the name Inez Houndstooth and all his characters have the same last name.
My guildies kept asking me about "Swampy". She was kind of popular... so I created a second character, another Swampgirl Inez here at GW.
If you want to know how we're all related, you can PM me.

BTW, I am by no means any kind of "know-it-all", I took a year and a half of Latin and this pointless trivia is pretty much all I remember from it. (I hated Latin, not sure why I ever took it)

Oh that's cool I never new that... But yeah my mom says latin is really hard ...

Chance Folly
In Morrowind, there was a (excellent) ingame story called "Chance's Folly". I loved the style in the book so much, that from then on in RPGs, I was "Chance Folly".

Thanks for sharing the trivia. I wanted to take Latin in high school but it conflicted with another class, can't remember what now (maybe journalism) ...and decided that trying to break into it in college was going to be unpossible.

What's SWG?
Adaria
Adaria Esuri - E/Mo - The first name means alot to me, I've had it for awhile, last name is Japanese for something, I just thought it sounded cool.
Sahera Mohana - Mo/Me - I tried to go for a hindi type name for my monk, she looks kinda elvan, aside from being horridly short.
Kea Aero - R/E - I just mutated my middle name of Kae for Kea and Aero, well, 'wind' obviously. I thought it worked for a Ranger, I got cheap with this one .
Scyleia Asteria - W/Mo - I always have to check how to spell this properly, and it means 'Leaper of the starry Sky' leaper = Scyleia, 'of the starry sky' Asteria, they're famous Amazonian names, and I thought they would fit for a female warrior.
I also at one time had a few other names but they're gone now, I'll put them anyway...
Uyoku Nowashi - E/R - [My first Incarnation in the Betas of Guild Wars] 'Wings of the Eagle' a nickname from my friends story I have had for years and years and years. Still use it alot as my pen name.
Kesi Shelain - N/Me - My Necromancer character, the name I created myself for a BESM character, which has since incarnated herself into my novel-to-be and other games.
That's all I can think of at the moment... I love all my names XD
EDIT/PS: SWG = Star Wars Galaxies [to answer your question above ]
