Preorder Items

No, you cannot, as there is currently no way to do that.

I currently have a preorder from GameStop. I was just reading the FAQ on the Guild Wars website when I noticed the item things. Im almost always necro, and probably will be when retail comes out. Problem is, when it comes out, I cant get the bone idol....... Because there are no compUSA's in my area. Instead I get a warpick..... I have no plans for warrior for my first account, and it says the items will come auto-customized, meaning I cant even trade it. Is there any way I can send a suggestion to the Guild Wars team directly? Like being able to choose our preorder item or some way to uncustomize an item?

it is a marketing program so certain stores will get the business of the people who want this item

it helps spread out the business

it will not be changed at this late date i am reasonably sure

also to repeat it will not be any kind of item to unbalance the game for people who did not preorder

also you may change your mind about the character you want to play

i am a prime example of that last year i was sure i wanted the warpick and preordered accordingly

today i am much better and having more fun as either an elementalist/monk or a ranger/monk

warpick does me nothing (will see if it gives q good salvage)

That lin kbrings you to the bonus pack that comp usa is selling. It costs ten dollars, but, you can order it over hte internet, and get it delivered to you, so thats probably your best chance of getting those items. Also, you don't need to purchase the gaem from them to get the bonus pack, you can buy it seperately.

as for geting the CE of GW, i am , but not so much for the ingame item that provides not benift what so ever as it shouldnt, but more so for the fact that i see it as supporting Arenanet :P ya it comes with a few extra things you dont get with the regular game, and IMO, the Divine Aura item sounds sweet (alot sweeter then other games CE items), but ive been trying to follow this game since i heard about it and after being able to take part in a BWE, im pretty sure this is a game ill be playing for yrs, just like i did with D2 but umm ya.... glowing is cool in my book

i will buy it because:

1) i need another head set because my old one broke, and the extra money is about the same price as a new headset.
2) i dont need a bow.

I pre-ordered GW at Eb approx 2 weeks ago and got in for the last BWE and was hooked. I took a look at the forum here and saw the thread concering multiple preorder items for one account. Just took a trip to Comp USA and picked up another for the Necro item. My question is: How do I put in the code to get the new weapon for the pre-order I just picked up at Comp USA. On the earlier thread there was a line that said: "Account Information page". I'm supposing that I'll have to wait until I set up my account when the game comes out next week in order to put in the code.

Any ideas on the matter?

This may sound like a stupid question, but how do you get collecters edition? Is it store purchase only, or can it be preordered, or even bought/preordered online? (preferably at COMPusa ) Also, If I get the CE and get aura, does that also mean I cant have a compusa or gamestop code working at the same time? (therefore, cant have aura and another item at same time.)
Also, does anyone know what slot divine aura/preorder items takes up? Or if its like those tome thingys in Diablo2 where it just has to be in your main inventory?

you get the CE from anywhere you get the game. many sites and stores will have the CE for sale.

you can use any or all of the preorder codes simultaneously and you'll have all the items from the codes you entered. no one (not even the designers) know how to do this yet, but it will be possible.

I don't believe anyone know what slot it goes in.

nope. we will be able to play starting 12:01am PDT April 27th.

the servers will not be live until 12:01 AM the 27th for the preorders and 12:01AM the 28th for retail non preorder

Can anyone point me to a thread that explains how the headsets work? Are they more like xbox live where everyone talks simutaneously, or more like UT2004 where you press a button and talk, and only one person can be heard at a time?

The headset is for TeamSpeak or other voice chat program. The collector's addition comes with the headset and TeamSpeak software. You can setup a TS server and use voice chat over the game to coordinate strategies with your friends, group or guild if everyone is using the same TS server. From what I have experienced everyone can talk at the same time doesn’t matter if they have the press to talk or not.

When do u get the item...is it after u put in the cd key or when you register?

on full release date on the 28th, after u input your full game cd key.

I checked the client today and like everyone else the cd key screen came up. I won my access key for the last bwe and will get Ithas Bow from it upon release. Unfortunately I deleted the e-mail with the access key written on it. Does this mean I will not get Ithas Bow upon release now?
