Ok so I preordered Guild Wars from Eb Games and played in the last guild wars beta event. Then Guild Wars came out for everyone. I didn't install the 2 retail disks because my friend told me I didn't need to and could just play it off the Guild Wars that I installed on my computer for the beta event. He was right, everything worked fine. But then I noticed that the cd key in the retail case was different then the one on the invitation card for the beta event. So I went onto Guild Wars and clicked create new account and entered the cd key from the retail cd case. It worked and gave me a second account that I could use with a new character. I got excited and told all my friends. I sent an email to guild wars support to ask how this happened and what I should do and if I would get to keep both of the accounts. They responded by asking me for a whole bunch of information. I responded by asking what would happen if I gave them the info...and by the way my character on the beta account I got up to a level 7 in the first two days after retail release, and I didn't do anything with the character on the retail account. They didn't respond to my e-mail and the next day when I tried to log on to my beta account it said that the account was only for a beta event and needed to have a retail access key added to it. This happened to all my friends too but with them they hadn't made a second account with the retail access key...so they just entered the retail access key and everything was fine for them and their beta/retail combined account...Only with me I had made an acoRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO with that retail access key and so when I tried to add the retail key to my beta account to get it working ..and of course it said that they key was invalid..so now I can't get to my level 7 character and the only account that works is the retail account and that character is level one....I emailed guild wars support with the info they wanted and told them all of this and asked what I should do...well that was last night (friday) and they havent responded so I dont know what to do..HELP

I've heard it stated that the GW team won't do char transfers so I'd say your best bet is to just use your new account and restart. It doesn't take long to get to lvl 7

I bought the pre-order kit a month or so. I have the code to type in for the pre-order item. Where on earth do I put in this key? I never partcipated in beta because I prefer not to "ruin" the gameplay experience with bugs.

Someone told me I "had" to participate in beta, but nowhere does it say that I "had" to participate in beta to redeem the pre-order item.


UPDATE- Okay, I found the place to put in the code. I put in the code and it says it is in USE??? What the frick? I just opened up the box for the first time just now.

So i got a question. Why couldnt you trade pre-order keys with people. I mean i got the game from GameStop which has the hammer. I play a Monk so why couldnt i offer to trade one of my pre-order cd keys with someone that had the prism or aura item?

There is a spot when you enter the game to add in a cd key. You of course would have to remove the old CD key.

And this is only the PRE-ORDER CD Key not the retail one that you got when you went to pick up the game.

Id be willing to trade my hammer key. And i know my buddy who has a ranger would trade his hammer key for the bow.
