Especially as there is a lack of official clarification! personally.. it takes more than a few people 'saying' it on forums for me to be convinced that its actually true! some time ago people were 'saying' that factions will have 16vs16.. which is obviously not true. The point is.. Regardless if you have listed these skills or not, it doesnt matter, because if indeed they ARE additional, then it kind of makes the whole discussion moot, it doesnt matter... its like complaining about receiving 15 cookies instead of the 10 you orderd. so if there is any quote, article or official confirmation, please find it... then I forget about reading this thread. |

What kind of new content will I find in Guild Wars Factions? A total of 300 new skills, including 90 new elite skills, for the two new Factions professions and the six core professions from Guild Wars |

WHERE DOES THAT EQUAL 75? ![]() ![]() EDIT SINCE IT SAYS 300 FOR ALL 8 PROFESSIONS YOU COULD SAY 75 EACH (150) TO THE NEW 2 PROFESSIONS WITH THE REMAINING 150 SPLIT 8 WAYS AS WELL |

However, since this is not the case, it is evident that the purpose is to use these skills as duplicates on the skill bar, otherwise, there wouldn't need to be two copies of the skill.
Now, I can definetely see some strategies with these doubled skills, such as doubled Ihex, or Desp Blow combined with balanced stance, or Zojun's + Dodge for running chars, but a few other skills I see no point for. Is it truly necessary for two tiger's furies? I'm pretty sure 1 would simply blackout the other, and either way, it's just a waste on the skillbar. |

I never saw a point of having 2 copied skills in same skill set beside making few professions stronger. what you guys are not noticing is, While these Faction characters have been given these new Skills cause they are suppose to be pushed up when they buy a Stand alone chapter, they have a major disadvantage Still in comparison to those who have both chapters. cause one with both chapters HAVE both skills in their set. In easy words:
1) Provided Stand alone chapter players with 1 skill means provided Both chapter holders with 2 Skills. Result: More power 2) Provided Stand alone chapter with certain skill Not duped, People with that skill still have more power. Are you guys ripped? or stupid enough not to realize that you have more power over faction players, Regardless... ? |

It will only take a update/patch to fix that problem. |

But if they do, that be then just be silly. And that I hope by ch.3 they don't "clone/duplicate".

So yes, you have all your new skills. Yes, you have duplicates. And yes, this is a good thing. I'm really glad that someone asked, because this tidbit about our plans with this skill situation flew past me and I really thought maybe we had placeholders. Now I know it's intended for you to be able to use multiples of a select few, as another strategic element of the game. __________________ Gaile Gray Community Relations Manager ArenaNet |
