Nerf 55 - other then skills

instead of nerfing, make it much harder to 55 farm

with a 10 sec timer on the count down on code imput you have 100's of bots not able to leave farming town annoying but it fixes the problem

cmon that's useless they already did that ^^ most of the spot have become crap or full of enchant breaking .. leave it as it is ^^
there are better farm build than this one

the real thing to do is to make expensive stuff A BIT more common
means crystalline / dwarven etc .. should be rare BUT droppable .. price ll be lower but not cheap

whys that as i stated befor its a vanity skin you can get same stats from a collector. vanity things are there for a reason it shows 1 of 2 things a youre lucky from a drop OR you worked youre ass off to get what you have droks armor and collectors weps is no better then someone in FoW armor with a gold fellblade

No reason to nerf, they die fast unless they're in certain areas. Any attack that does degen, poison, disease, knock down, interrupt, bleeding, daze, hex, or energy drain completely neuters them. Anet just needs to increase the number of enemies that can use these skills, and the 55 build will disappear.

55 monk: The true sign of an amateur. Pay them no mind.

55hp shouldn't be nerfed. Its over all kinda fair because its limited to only a few areas in both tyria and factions. You can't just go out and 55hp everything! Healers and strippers(enchantments) stop you. Also there has to be a way to make money in the game. Alot of stuff is really really expensive(greens,golds, FoW armor). How can you buy that stuff if you can't farm??? Sure if Anet added a way to make money I'd be fine with it. But they haven't yet. There just isn't a way to make money fast enough(unless your really good at begging, tombs, Sorrows, or FoW).

Using that argument, couldn't you say the majority of farmers are "Amateurs"? I mean, all you have to do is get a couple of skills, get the build off a site, the appropriate runes/weapons/armor, and you're set.

And to respond to the OP - No.

I made my 55 (the only use for my PvE Monk atm) when the runes actually cost something..with the time, armor, etc that took, I would have wasted quite a bit of money.

Seeing as Monk runes fell in price I wonder how many people who were against 55 will now make one and try it

......I am just curious as to why a thread that has been out of circut since 4/23 is being brought back to life... I have seen a ton of ressurected threads and its confusing me...

However on topic - if you nerf the 55 it makes no difference cause those bots can go out and do the same with a warrior ... Not everything has to be nerfed. The concept of a 55 is truly amazing in itself. If you are that concerned with bots start reporting the ones that run in a line out the door... I had a 55 necro that got her farming spot nerfed... I can't hold up to the trolls and thusly I dont farm them (or anything other than UW with her anymore and thats only with a 55monk and rarely at that).

I know warrior builds that can do just about anything that a 55monk can so nerfing the build is just stupid.
