What are the stats? Does it do anything at all or is it only "eye-candy" (*cough cough*), like the pumpkin heads and santa hats?

to get 250 naga fangs is extremly easy. i got them in like 20 minutes is so easy there drop like flies its incredible almost every naga (most of them are lvl 2) drops them you can get them solo without henchmens (and im a lvl 10 assasin so its very easy) on the map go to around 2 cm south of tumei village there are loads of nagas to kill

don't fret those at work! Go to www.guildwars.com They are extending the event for 3 days for those with a preorder key if I'm reading it correctly. That gives us all plenty of time to get our (ugly) masks. If I'm incorrect, let me know.

you need to have a secondary profession chosen first
so pump yourselves through your primary quest! Actually, I didn't pick a secondary yet and the Master of Celebrations gave me the quest. He wouldn't give me one, then I went up the stairs to the courtyard and did the Audience with Master Togo quest, went back to the regular part of town, and then the Celebrations guy had a Naga quest for me.

There is an easy way to get a lot of Naga Fangs in a short period of time, do all the quests but the last one, make sure you've been to Tsumei Village and repeat the quest over and over, you get about 50 Fangs every run. Abandon the quest in Tsumei Village after you've killed them all and get the quest again and repeat it.

Has anyone gauged how often the mask-converting Emperor shows up? I'm pretty sure it wasn't at the top of the hour in the first 3 hours of the event, but they may have changed it?
Sure hope it's not like once 4 hours or something like that.

Okay, I see everyone asking this. So I'll post what I've done to get one.
1. You must obtain a second profession, this you can do by following the Primary Quests. (Started by Master Togo)
2. You must then go to Master of Celebration (Center of the Monastery) in which he will give you a string of 3 quests, all together giving 200 Naga Fangs. The last 50 you get simply from fighting so many Naga.
3. Wait for the Emperor to appear in the Monastery (Every 3 hours) he will then trade you a Tengu mask for 250 Naga Fangs.

where is the Emporer? I was at the Master of Ceremonies at 3 am pst with my 250, and got nothing. I therefore assume I wasn't close enough to Emporer to get my mask.

I am using my Elementalist to farm the Naga in the first quest. Solo each group, and they should drop at least 5 Naga Fangs from each group. There are 8 groups. Map back to restart.

What level do you have to be to do these quests?
Do you start at level 1 when creating a character in Cantha?
What level are the mobs of Naga you fight?
How do you get your Tyria character there?
If your Tyria character is level 20, do you totally own the naga you fight in the quests?
Or do they adjust to your level?

A little guide to save a lot of time:
For Tyrian chars. talk to the guy in LA near entrance, to get quest allowing you to get to Cantha, talk to Mhenlo outside of the city then back in the city go to the docks and you will travel to Cantha. Run your self to the city. Get some running skills and exit south and hug the west side wall. Your basically following the left edge of the map, along the coast, make sure you have a few running skills, and you can solo this run. Youl get to market place in about 3 min. Then go to Kaineng Docks and speak to Firstmate Xiang who will take you to Seitung Harbor. Travel west through Saoshang Trail, a min of running. Once your in the monestary talk to the NPC whos name is celebrations or something and do the 3 quests, by your self since your a lvl 20 and get more drops soloing. Also make sure you have running skills to save a lot of time. I ran my ranger and got 290 fangs in 20 min, using barrage and cyclone axe on my warrior. The emperor spawns every 3 hours, or 2 hours and 15 min after this post. Go to the lowest district, get your mask when the emperor comes and tlaks about the event at storage, then log onto another character and go to the highest district and get another mask assuming you have 2 chars with 250 fangs each.

I thought it was only today, during the headstart (when only those with preorder keys can play). I think the May 2nd thing means they won't lock your Canthan characters until May 2nd, if you haven't input your retail key by then. Or rather, your two new character slots (don't have to be Canthan).
