Access to Vizunah Local for Tyrian chars

Surely they will implement that at the same time as the NPCs who can "upgrade" armors (the -1 energy given by Judge and Rogue) and old weapons such as Sundering 10/10 :s

It's possible.
Make sure majority of your party are Canthan and dont bring foreign henchies.
MAke sure also that more than half of those Canthan characters are still doing the Primary Quest to go to Vizunah Square (Local Quarters) and the rest will be teleported there as well.
Do not break the party or change, as it will affect the 'flags'
I don't think its a bug, its just the game flags everyone depending on the majority of the characters.
You'll notice this when you have majority Kurzick aligned characters and you are a luxon. The res-points activates or not depending on where you are. Thats how the system flags a group if you are this side or that side, or if you are a foreigner or a Canthan-born group.

The above sounds like a post I read once before about mixed-nation parties trying to access UW from the Shiverpeaks Portal. When they were majority American and America had favor, they could get in. However, when they went majority European, they could not get in. And then when favor switched to Europe, the result was as you'd expect.
Now, what happens if the majority of the Canthan characters don't have the primary quest? Will the portal just be open with no guard?

OK some notes:
According to guildwiki, Canthan characters can access Vizunah Foreign, but Tyrian characters CANNOT access Vizunah local.
Also, I see that every other poster is replying to tell us that their Canthan character is able to access Vizunah Foreign Quarter, which was never the issue to start with. Read the topic title again By now, we all know that Canthans can access Vizunah Foreign.
Also, Laibeus, there's at least one unguarded res shrine in each map area. So , if you're a "Luxon" in Kurzick area, your party will be ressurected in the "neutral" shrine.

I'm so happy, I just got my Tyrian character into Vizunah Local. I did what Laibeus said.
Semi-Detailed rundown:
1.) My Character, Reikai Tsubasa is a Tyrian character. He has cleared the GW:F storyline, in terms of progress.
2.) I spent a while in the Marketplace aD1, starting a group for the last part of Mayhem in the Market, or the "sewers" part of it. Basically spammed,
"Starting Group for LAST PART of Mayhem in the Market - Sewers"
3.) We got our group together. I believe it was all Canthan characters, execpt me and 2 henchies. The henchies that we had were Professor Vhang [Shock Henchman] and Sister Tai [Healer Henchman]. I also left the group, and re-joined, as to make sure I was not the leader (not sure if this matters.)
4.) I ran into the Undercity, and from there, worked our way to Vizunah Local. When we reached Guardsman Pei, I could not talk to him, however the Canthan characters in the group could, and therefore I was ported in with the canthan group.

I just did this, and it did not work.
There was a tyrian warrior in the party, he was below me in listing of party menu, and he was taken in.. I was not.
I have beat the game -- although my unwaking waters shows as being incomplete because of a bug.

Did it last week with 5 Canthan chars, me (Tyrian) and 2 henchies (healer and rit). One of the others talked to the guard, and we all got in, no problems.

We just did local tonight with tyrian and canthan characters mixed. One of the tyrians had beaten Factions and the other hadn't. There were two canthans in the party.

I did it with 4 canthan characters and henchmen, it was hard since they weren't level 20, and didn't have max armor.. but did indeed get local open with a tyria character as said earlier in this thread.

I have beaten the game and, i tried multiple times with henchies but to no avail...then i went with a group of canthans and we got in fine...maybe those are the reqs to get it

It's official: my monk simply cannot get into Vizunah Local. Tried it at least four times with different groups, I was left behind every single time. In my last effort, we had seven Canthan chars and me being the only Tyrian. That didn't work, they all ported in except me. Strange how my Mesmer got in first try - there's something fishy going on here...

LuxA, did you completed vizunah foreign mission before trying to reach vizunah local with your monk? Perhaps people must complete the mission before, it's just pure guess though.

i just reached it with my tyrian monk as well, joined a group of 3 canthans and 4 hench, had no problem getting in. finished the storyline with her as well, nearly all quests..i dunno what the requirements to get into their are, tho. my guess is to do at least sunjiang disctrict, as 'last' part of the whole kaineng area thing.

My Canthan born warrior was in a party of Tyrian friends who needed Vizunah. When we got to the trans, we all went right in (now I have both quarters on the map). It also worked that way with my Tyrian ranger who went with Canthan born friends.
The key to it seems to be this: *have you done the primary quests that would normally allow you into Vizunah? If so, then there shouldn't be a problem......

I'm having some issues also. Using the "lfg-last part of Mayhem" recruiting scheme, I was able to get my Tyrian Warrior into Vizunah Local (who has not even done the nahpui mission yet), but my Tyrian Monk, who has gotten to both capital cities could not get in. One possible difference is that my Monk had an undercity quest or maybe more active that could have blocked it. I went to accept the reward for "Assisting the Guards" after the failed attempt to reach local, and also abandoned the Challenge quest, but didn't yet try to reach local again. If it works the next try, perhaps that quest is what is blocking it.

Tried again, without those quests ... didn't work. I wonder if talking to the Guardsman messes it up. He says to go talk to Togo when I do, and gives me a choice of "Nothing, I'll go on my way." I hope that isn't what is causing it to fail...
